Pulsar TERMION 2 LRF XQ50 PRO Thermal Scope and HELION 2 XP50 PRO Thermal Monocular Review
As an avid outdoor enthusiast and a passionate hunter, I recently had the opportunity to use the Pulsar TERMION 2 LRF XQ50 PRO thermal scope in combination with the HELION 2 XP50 PRO thermal monocular. After extensive field testing in various conditions, I would like to share my comprehensive thoughts on both products. Pulsar TERMION 2 LRF XQ50 PRO Thermal Scope Design and Build Quality: The TERMION 2 features a robust design that withstands challenging environments. The build quality is impressive, with a rugged housing that feels durable yet lightweight. It fits well onto my rifle and offers a secure mount without adding excessive weight. Optics and Performance: The image quality is remarkable. The 640x480 resolution along with 12µm pixel pitch provides crisp thermal imagery with excellent detail. The 50mm objective lens allows for impressive light transmission, which enhances visibility during low-light conditions. The integrated laser rangefinder is a game-changer, offering precision that significantly boosts my shooting confidence at varied distances. User Interface and Features: The user interface is intuitive, featuring easily navigable menus and settings. I appreciated the customizable reticles and various color palettes, which allowed me to adjust the display based on my environment. The thermal sensor performs exceptionally well in detecting game, even against challenging backgrounds. The built-in Wi-Fi and stream vision app support make sharing experiences and recording footage convenient. HELION 2 XP50 PRO Thermal Monocular Design and Portability: The HELION 2 XP50 PRO is slightly bulkier than I anticipated but nonetheless manageable for prolonged use. Its ergonomic design enables a comfortable grip, which is crucial during long scouting trips. The eye relief is adequate, ensuring that I can use the device comfortably even with my glasses on. Optics and Image Quality: Similarly to the TERMION scope, the XP50 PRO provides outstanding image quality with a resolution of 640x480 and a refresh rate of 50Hz. I was particularly impressed by the clarity and detail in both detecting and identifying targets at long distances. The high sensitivity of the thermal sensor allows for effective performance even in complete darkness or adverse weather conditions. Functionality and Battery Life: One of the standout features of the HELION 2 is the extended battery life, which kept up with my all-day adventures without needing a recharge. The thermal monocular also boasts various observation modes and a built-in recorder that enables capturing my most memorable moments in the field—this is an exceptional feature for both fun and analysis.
