The Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage (ONCFS) is a French government agency created in 1972 under the dual leadership of the Ministry of Ecology and the Ministry of Agriculture.
The main tasks of ONCFS included:
-Surveillance and protection of the environment and hunting
-Research and study of wildlife
-Technical support
-Development of sustainable hunting
-Organization of hunting license examinations
