Review of the Antonio Zoli 1900 Pro Bolt Action Rifle, Caliber .300 Win Mag As an avid hunter with years of experience under my belt, I’ve had the opportunity to put a variety of rifles to the test. Recently, I acquired the Antonio Zoli 1900 Pro in .300 Win Mag, and I want to share my thoughts on this Italian bolt-action rifle. Pros: Build Quality: The first thing that strikes you about the Zoli 1900 Pro is the craftsmanship. The stock is made from high-quality walnut, providing not only aesthetic appeal but also a solid grip. The checkering is finely done, allowing for a secure hold even in wet conditions. Accuracy: Upon taking this rifle to the range, I was immediately impressed by its accuracy. It groups tightly even with factory ammunition, and after some load development, I was able to achieve sub-MOA groups. This level of precision is crucial for ethical hunting, especially at longer distances. Smooth Action: The bolt action is incredibly smooth. You can feel the precision engineering with every operation of the bolt. Follow-up shots can be made quickly and effortlessly, which is a significant advantage when hunting in the field. Recoil Management: The .300 Win Mag is known for its kick, but the Zoli has a decent recoil pad that absorbs a lot of the shock. This makes shooting more comfortable, even on extended range sessions. Aesthetic Appeal: The overall look of the rifle is sleek and elegant. The blued finish on the metal components combined with the beautiful wood stock gives it a classic feel that I really appreciate. Cons: Weight: At over 8 pounds, the Zoli 1900 Pro is on the heavier side, especially for a hunting rifle. Carrying it over long distances can be a bit of a workout. If you’re planning a trek into the backcountry, this might be a downside to consider. Price Point: While it is undeniably a quality rifle, it comes with a price tag that may not fit every budget. There are certainly other options in the market for those looking for something more affordable, though they may not offer the same level of craftsmanship. Availability of Parts: Being an Italian brand, I found that replacement parts or accessories can be somewhat hard to come by. If something were to go wrong or if I wanted to customize it further, I would likely have to wait longer for parts. Trigger Adjustment: The adjustable trigger is a great feature, but I found the factory setting was a bit heavy for my liking. It took some time to get it adjusted to a weight that felt more comfortable and responsive during shooting. The Antonio Zoli 1900 Pro is an impressive firearm that excels in accuracy and craftsmanship, making it a solid choice for serious hunters. However, its weight and price might deter some potential buyers. If you’re looking for a reliable and beautiful bolt-action rifle, and you don’t mind the extra weight, I would definitely recommend considering this model. #AntonioZoli #1900Pro #BoltActionRifle #300WinMag #Hunting https://m.uh.app/news/review-of-the-antonio-zoli-ritmo-combination-gun-12x70-3006-as-an-avid_Ph_N4OByEe-0JKvWOtkCIg

Review of Tikka T3x CTR 6.5 Creedmoor As an avid hunter with several years of experience, I've had the opportunity to use a variety of rifles in different hunting environments. The Tikka T3x CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor is a model that has garnered considerable attention in the hunting community, and I recently decided to give it a thorough evaluation during my outings. Here’s my honest assessment, including both the pros and cons. Pros: Accuracy: The Tikka T3x CTR is renowned for its exceptional accuracy. The cold hammer-forged barrel ensures consistency, and during my test sessions, I was able to achieve sub-MOA groups at 100 yards with factory ammunition. The 20" barrel with a twist rate of 1:11 handles various bullet weights well, providing flexibility in load selection. Build Quality: Tikka rifles are known for their solid construction, and the T3x CTR is no exception. The synthetic stock feels robust and is designed for comfort, with a textured grip that provides a confident hold in various weather conditions. Smooth Action: The bolt action is incredibly smooth, allowing for quick follow-up shots. I appreciated the tactile feedback of the bolt handle, which made cycling cartridges effortless even when wearing gloves. Modularity: The T3x features modular technology, meaning you can easily swap out stocks and grips. The adjustable cheek piece is a welcome addition, allowing me to achieve a comfortable and consistent shooting position. Weight: Weighing in at around 6.5 pounds, the T3x CTR is relatively lightweight for a precision rifle. This makes it easy to carry over long distances during hunts, especially in mountainous terrain. Cons: Price: While the Tikka T3x CTR presents excellent value for its quality, it is still a significant investment. For those new to hunting or on a tight budget, there are more affordable options that may not offer the same level of precision. Limited Factory Options: The rifle is available in various calibers, but finding 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition in stores can sometimes be a challenge, especially in remote areas. While handloading is an option, it requires additional time and investment. Recoil Management: The 6.5 Creedmoor has manageable recoil, but I found the T3x to be slightly more pronounced than some larger-caliber rifles due to its lighter weight. A quality muzzle brake could mitigate this, but it is an added expense. Texture on Stock: While the synthetic stock is solid, I found the texture to be a bit slippery when wet or muddy. An enhanced grip surface could provide more confidence in adverse conditions, particularly during rainy hunts. Limited Accessories: Compared to other rifle brands, the availability of aftermarket accessories (like enhanced triggers and upgraded stocks) for the Tikka T3x line is somewhat limited. As a custom rifle enthusiast, I found this somewhat restrictive. Overall, the Tikka T3x CTR in .65 Creedmoor stands as an impressive choice for hunters looking for precision #tikka

Rika NV GTJ 650 L

Review of the Orsis 120 .308 Win Rifle As a passionate hunter, I always look for firearms that provide reliability and precision in the field. I've had the opportunity to use the Orsis 120 .308 Win rifle for a while now, and I want to share my thoughts on it both the pros and the cons based on my experiences. Pros: Accuracy: Right off the bat, the Orsis 120 impressed me with its accuracy. The .308 caliber combined with the rifle's design allows for tight groupings at distances up to 300 yards. Whether I was at the range or out in the field, I felt confident in taking shots. Build Quality: The craftsmanship of the Orsis 120 is noteworthy. The materials used feel robust, and the rifle has a solid, well-balanced feel in hand. The stock's ergonomic design makes it comfortable to shoulder, which is especially important during long hours in the field. Customizability: This rifle offers a variety of mounting options. I appreciate being able to customize it according to my preferences, whether it’s adding optics, bipods, or other accessories. Recoil Management: The recoil on the .308 Win is well-managed thanks to the design of the stock. As someone who has used rifles with much harsher recoil, I found the Orsis 120 quite pleasant to shoot. Reliability: In the conditions I've tested it mud, rain, and cold it has performed admirably without any failures to feed or fire. This reliability gives me peace of mind when I'm out in the field. Cons: Weight: While the build quality is a pro, it does contribute to the overall weight of the rifle. For extended field hunts, especially in rugged terrain, it can feel a bit heavy after a while. A lighter option might be preferable for those who find themselves hiking long distances. Price Point: The Orsis 120 is not the most affordable option available. Although I believe it offers good value for the performance it delivers, it's essential to consider your budget, especially if you're a novice hunter. Stock Adjustment: While the stock is comfortable, I found the adjustment options limited. I would have loved more customization in terms of length of pull to perfectly fit it to my stature. Availability of Ammunition: Although .308 Win is a popular caliber, in some local shops, I’ve occasionally found it challenging to source the ammunition, particularly during hunting season. Learning Curve for New Users: For those new to hunting or firearms, the Orsis 120 may require some time to get accustomed to. The features and customizability can be overwhelming for beginners, though it’s undoubtedly rewarding once you get the hang of it. Overall, my experience with the Orsis 120 .308 Win rifle has been very positive. Its strengths greatly outweigh the drawbacks, particularly for seasoned hunters looking for precision and reliability. If you are willing to invest both financially and in time to get comfortable with it, the Orsis 120 can be an excellent companion for your hunting endeavors. #Orsis120 #308Win #rifle

Goose hunting in Canada is a cherished tradition, deeply ingrained in the country's rich outdoor heritage. Hunters from across North America flock to the vast wetlands and open fields where geese migrate in impressive numbers. Canada is renowned for its diverse goose species, each offering unique hunting experiences. Here are types of geese that hunters pursue in Canada: 1. Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) Hunting Season : Typically runs from late summer to early winter, depending on the region. Hunters use decoys and calls to mimic their honking sounds, often setting up in open fields or near water bodies. 2. Snow Goose (Anser caerulescens) Hunting Season : Usually extends from fall through early spring. Need large numbers of decoys are essential due to their flocking behavior. Electronic callers are often used to mimic their high-pitched vocalizations. 3. Ross's Goose (Chen rossii) Hunting Season : Generally coincides with snow goose seasons. Often hunted alongside snow geese, using similar tactics such as large decoy spreads and electronic calls. 4. White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) Hunting Season : Fall to early winter. Hunters use realistic decoys and imitate their soft, rolling calls. Concealment is crucial due to their wariness. 5. Cackling Goose (Branta hutchinsii) Hunting Season : Overlaps with Canada goose seasons. Techniques similar to Canada goose hunting, but with smaller decoys and higher-pitched calls to match their distinct vocalizations. 6. Brant Goose (Branta bernicla) Hunting Season : Primarily in the fall and early winter. Hunting typically occurs in coastal areas, requiring specialized gear like boats and floating decoys. Calls are more subtle and low-pitched compared to other geese. The Canadian landscape offers an ideal setting for this pursuit, with its diverse habitats ranging from coastal marshes to inland prairies. Hunters prepare meticulously, scouting locations and setting up decoys to mimic the natural flight patterns of these birds. The sound of goose calls echoing through the misty mornings adds to the allure of the hunt. For many, goose hunting is more than just a sport; it's a way to connect with nature and preserve a longstanding cultural practice. It requires patience, skill, and respect for wildlife conservation. Hunters must adhere to strict regulations, including bag limits and seasonal restrictions, ensuring sustainable practices that protect goose populations for future. The camaraderie among hunters is another essential aspect of the experience. Friends gather around campfires, sharing stories and enjoying hearty meals after a long day in the field. Whether it's the thrill of a successful shot or the simple joy of being outdoors, goose hunting in Canada embodies a profound connection to the land and its traditions. In the end, goose hunting is a testament to the enduring bond between humans and the natural world, offering both adventure and a sense of continuity in a rapidly changing world.

Review of Antonio Zoli Columbus Gold Shotgun 12-76, 750mm As an avid hunter with years of experience in the field, I've had the pleasure of using the Antonio Zoli Columbus Gold shotgun in various hunting conditions. Here are my thoughts on this piece of equipment, including some of its strengths and weaknesses. Pros: Craftsmanship: One of the most striking features of the Columbus Gold is its undeniable craftsmanship. The wood finish is exquisite, providing a classic look that stands out in both form and function. The engravings are detailed and reflect the high-quality craftsmanship that Italian shotguns are known for. Balance and Weight: The shotgun is well-balanced, which makes for a more controlled shooting experience. At 750mm in length, it feels versatile for both upland bird hunting and waterfowl. The weight is appropriate for its class; it doesn’t feel overly heavy during long hunts, allowing for comfortable handling. Recoil Management: The 12-gauge caliber typically has some kick to it, but the Columbus Gold does an admirable job of managing recoil. This is crucial for those long days in the field, as it allows for quicker follow-up shots without feeling beaten up after a few rounds. Performance: In the field, the shotgun has performed exceptionally well. The accuracy has been on point, and I've found that it consistently patterns well with a variety of loads. The smooth action is a joy to operate, allowing for quick follow-up shots when needed. Versatility: This shotgun excels in different environments – from dense forests to open fields. Its performance with different types of ammunition means that it can adapt to various hunting scenarios. Cons: Price Point: While you certainly get what you pay for, the Columbus Gold does come with a higher price tag that might not be justifiable for all hunters. It's an investment, and for those just starting out, it might be more prudent to consider more budget-friendly options. Weight: While the balance is excellent, some lighter camp versions may offer better ease of carry. On extended treks, a few ounces can make a considerable difference, especially for those who prefer to cover a lot of ground. Availability of Parts: For some users, sourcing replacement parts can be a hassle. Depending on your location, finding a gunsmith familiar with Antonio Zoli can also be a challenge, especially if you require specialized maintenance. Modern Features: Some might find the lack of more modern features compared to other offerings from different brands a bit archaic. If you're used to synthetic stocks or more advanced optics, you may feel a touch behind the curve with a traditional shotgun like this one. Conclusion: Overall, the Antonio Zoli Columbus Gold is a stunning and functional shotgun. It offers excellent performance, beautiful aesthetics, and the kind of craftsmanship that feels like a piece of art. However, its price and slightly heavier setup may not be ideal for everyone. #zoli https://m.uh.app/news/review-of-the-antonio-zoli-ritmo-combination-gun-12x70-3006-as-an-avid_Ph_N4OByEe-0JKvWOtkCIg

The Best hares hunter in Canada. Lynx is considered to be the very orderly in Canada who brings the number of hares in the region back to normal. No, if a black-tailed deer, duck or mole comes across on the route, the Canadian lynx will definitely challenge them. But from 30 to 97% of the lynx's usual diet consists of hares. Hunting of the Canadian lynx for hares has become a kind of salvation for the locals. Those who have not experienced the rapid uncontrolled spread of hares or rabbits will not understand the essence of the problem. Here it is worth remembering the problem of rabbits in Australia, for example. Where there is no suitable predator, there is a catostrophic increase in the number of rodents and they simply destroy the nature around. Due to the poor diet, the Canadian lynx had to hone its hunting skills to perfection. If a lynx attacks, it means it clearly knows that it will have lunch. If the lynx is not absolutely sure of the result, it will not even attempt a throw. The Canadian lynx has disproportionately large paws. Without such wide feet, the Canadian lynx would not have been able to move so long, quickly and deftly through the snow. The paws of the Canadian lynx are webbed. They help not only in the water, but also in the snow. Canadian Lynx is the best hares hunter in the USA and Canada. Nature has created Lynx as an ultimate inimitable pursuer. North of American (Canadian) lynx is about half the size of the European lynx. And dimensions, as usual, change the rules of the game. Even an experienced hare turns into an achievable goal, thanks to the peculiarities of her body structure and powerful snowshoe paws.

Review of the Delta Optical Stryker HD 4.5-30 × 56 FFP LRD-1T Scope

Review of the Delta Optical Stryker HD 4.5-30 × 56 FFP LRD-1T Scope As an avid hunter with years of experience in the field, I recently decided to upgrade my rifle scope, opting for the Delta Optical Stryker HD 4.5-30 × 56 FFP LRD-1T. After using this scope on a couple of hunting trips, I feel compelled to share my honest thoughts, both the advantages and drawbacks I've encountered. Pros: Optical Clarity: One of the most impressive features of the Delta Optical Stryker is its optical performance. The glass is exceptionally clear and crisp, even at the highest magnifications. It provides fantastic light transmission, which is crucial for dawn and dusk hunts. I found that I could easily identify targets hiding in dense foliage or shaded areas during low-light conditions. Wide Magnification Range: The 4.5-30x magnification range allows for great versatility. Whether I was stalking deer at close range or spotting pronghorns from a distance, this scope handled both scenarios effortlessly. The ability to zoom in and out without losing focus was particularly impressive and made quick adjustments on the fly possible. First Focal Plane (FFP) Reticle: The first focal plane reticle is a game changer. As you zoom in, the reticle size adjusts accordingly, making it easier to estimate range and holdover at various distances. This feature significantly improved my accuracy during long-distance shots. Durability and Build Quality: This scope feels rugged and well-built. It’s made to withstand tough conditions, and I’ve found it to be shockproof and waterproof. On one trip, I accidentally dropped my rifle, and while I was worried about damaging the scope, it held up perfectly without losing zero. Customizable Turrets: The turrets are easy to use and provide positive clicks, making adjustments straightforward in the field. I appreciated the ability to reset them to zero after sighting in – it’s a small but meaningful feature that contributes to ease of use. Cons: Weight: One of the downsides of this scope is its weight. It’s on the heavier side, which can be a drawback during long hunts where every ounce counts. Price Point: While I believe you get what you pay for, the Delta Optical Stryker is on the pricier end of the spectrum. For some hunters, especially those on a budget, this might be a limiting factor. Complexity of Features: For newcomers to the sport, the plethora of features might be overwhelming. Understanding how to effectively utilize the FFP reticle and making precise adjustments can take some time and practice. Limited Availability: Depending on where you live, finding this scope might be a challenge. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my purchase of the Delta Optical Stryker HD 4.5-30 × 56 FFP LRD-1T. It has significantly enhanced my hunting experience, providing optical clarity and versatility that I truly value. #DeltaOptical #StrykerHD #HuntingScope #FFP

Review of the Franchi Horizont .30-06 with Dual Brake Muzzle Device As an avid hunter with years of experience in various hunting conditions, I recently had the opportunity to test the Franchi Horizont chambered in .30-06, equipped with the Dual Brake Muzzle Device (DTK). My experience using this rifle has provided me with valuable insights, and I’d like to share both the pros and the cons. Pros: Precision and Accuracy: The Franchi Horizont impresses with its accuracy. Even at longer ranges, I found it easy to achieve tight groups. This is crucial during hunting trips where a precise shot can make the difference between success and failure. Build Quality: The construction of the Franchi Horizont .30-06 is commendable. The materials used feel robust and well-crafted. The wood and metal finish give it a classic look, and the ergonomic design fits comfortably in hand, making it great for those long hours in the field. Recoil Management: The addition of the Dual Brake Muzzle Device is a game changer. It significantly reduces recoil, allowing for quicker follow-up shots. As someone who has experienced the harsh kick of a .30-06 before, I found the recoil manageable and less tiring during a long day of hunting. Versatility: The .30-06 caliber is incredibly versatile, making it suitable for a wide range of game. Whether you’re hunting deer, elk, or even larger game, this caliber has proven effective across various situations. Aesthetic Appeal: The aesthetic aspects of the Franchi Horizont cannot be overlooked. It has a sleek design that stands out in the field but is also understated enough not to draw unnecessary attention. Cons: Weight: While the sturdiness of the rifle is a plus, it does come with added weight. For hunters who often trek through rugged terrain, this could become a bit cumbersome over time. Price Point: The Franchi Horizont is on the higher end of the price spectrum. While I believe you get what you pay for, some may find it difficult to justify the investment, especially if they’re newer to hunting or don’t head out into the field often. Initial Setup: The first-time setup can be a bit complex. If you’re not well-versed in mounting scopes and the like, you may need assistance to get it just right. I’d recommend investing time in understanding the gun's features and getting help from a knowledgeable friend or a professional. Limited Aftermarket Support: Unlike some more mainstream rifle brands, aftermarket parts and accessories can be slightly harder to come by. Sensitivity to Ammunition: I noticed that the rifle tends to be picky with certain types of ammunition. Using high-quality rounds produced the best results, which might be an additional expense for hunters looking to use bulk cheaper ammo. Conclusion: Overall, the Franchi Horizont .30-06 with the Dual Brake Muzzle Device is an exceptional rifle that excels in performance and aesthetics. #FranchiHorizont #HuntingRifle #30-06 #MuzzleBrake #FieldReview

Pronghorn Antelopes in Cody, Wayoming. More than 20,000 antelopes cross the highway. The driver will have to wait a long time for the whole herd to pass through the road... Cody is a city in and the county seat of Park County, Wyoming, United States. It is named after Buffalo Bill Cody for his part in the founding of Cody in 1896. Wyoming has over 30 million acres of public land, making it a hunter's paradise. Any hunter who dreams of wide open spaces and herds of big game will find that his hunting dreams lead to Wyoming. Most popular hunting animals are pronghorn antelopes, maral, moose, mule deer, and white-tailed deer. The state also offers hunting for bighorn, bison, black bears, mountain lions, wolves, mountain goats, turkeys and mountain birds. On a video Pronghorn antelopes in Cody, Wyoming. As the seasons change, these animals migrate from the mountains to the valleys and back. Before they were in a danger of extinction due to human destruction of their migration routes. Beginning in 2014, excellent fawn production and survival began to spur population recovery, which continued through 2024. The pronghorn is the only extant representative (from antelopes) of the pronghorn family. This unique mammal got its name due to the fork-shaped branches on its horns. Wyoming is best known for its pronghorn hunting, it is more commonly referred to as the "antelope hunting."There are more pronghorn antelopes in Wyoming than anywhere else on the North American continent, and hunter success rates exceed 85 percent. Pronghorn is a very timid and cautious animal, so it is difficult to catch it off guard. Having discovered a suspicious object in the distance, the animal immediately notifies its relatives of the possible danger. The pronghorn gives a threat signal with the help of vocal signs and a white spot of the so-called "mirror", which is located in the tail area, the hair on this spot stands on end, these signs are noticed by other members of the herd. The pronghorn's eyes are positioned so that it can survey the space even when eating, which makes it very difficult to approach it from any side. He also has excellent hearing and sense of smell. The difficulty of pronghorn antelopes hunting makes it a coveted trophy for both amateur and professional hunters. Many hunters go to Wyoming for the best trophies, where a large number of graceful pronghorn antelopes have been preserved. However, hunting pronghorn is extremely regulated. You must have a special permit with you, if this document is missing, then a huge fine will be issued with the confiscation of all weapons. Most hunting in Wyoming is managed through a limited quota system, which means that there is a certain number of licenses for each hunting area, and hunters must apply for licenses well before the start of the season. This means that planning ahead is a must if you want to hunt in Wyoming. To hunt in Wyoming, you will also need proof of completion of the Hunter Safety course.

Five o’clock with polar bear. If you decide to drink tea with cookies in the North of Russia, do not forget to treat the polar bear. The number of polar bears is declining worldwide. Almost everywhere this species is under protection, any prey of the beast is prohibited. There are approximately 25-30 thousand individuals left on the entire planet. A significant part of them live in the Russian north. In the Russian Federation, it lives on the Arctic coast and islands in the waters from the Barents to the Chukchi and Bering Seas. The Chukchi polar bear population is considered to be the largest in the world. On floating ice, polar bears can reach more southern latitudes, for example, they can reach the center of the eastern coast of Kamchatka. In Russia, polar bears are listed in the Red Book, and their hunting has been prohibited since 1956. Despite this, experts estimate that 100-200 bears fall victim to poachers every year. Poaching of polar bears in Russia is strictly punishable by law. But the main reason why polar bears are at risk of extinction is not at all dishonest hunters. The area of glacial surfaces is gradually decreasing, and along with them, the size of the habitat favorable for the polar bear is decreasing. In 2008, with the support of the Russian Government, work began on several programs related to the study of rare and especially important animals in Russia, including the Polar Bear program. Since 2010, this project has been supported by the Russian Geographical Society. In Russia, hunting for it has been completely prohibited, but in other countries (USA, Canada and Greenland) it is limited. For example, the quotas for the production of polar bears in the entire Canadian territory of Nunavut were as follows: 2000-2001 — 395, 2001-2002 — 408, 2002-2003 — 392, 2003-2004 — 398, 2004-2005 — 507 individuals. Hunters consider the skin or skull of a polar bear to be the main trophy. But the meat of the polar bear is edible, moreover, it has a good taste. However, the liver and kidneys are toxic and their consumption by humans due to the increased vitamin A content in these organs causes hypervitaminosis. Polar bear hunting has recently become a popular destination for wealthy Chinese hunters and tourists. The Chinese rich are willing to pay 50,000 dollars to hunt polar bears in Canada. Polar bear hunting is considered something like a show of wealth. The individual parts are used in traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese consider it an incredible luxury to have a polar bear skin at home or in the office. Prices for the smallest skins start from 40,000 dollars. Club owners and outfitters claim that white bear hunting helps endangered species and develops the economy of remote regions. Animal rights activists have criticized polar bear hunting, arguing that it leads to the extinction of species.

Wild boar family. South of Russia. Wild boars are found in mixed or deciduous forests, sometimes found in steppes. Within Russia, they are distributed almost throughout its entire European part. Beyond the Urals, the wild boar's habitat stretches in a relatively narrow strip across the Asian part of the country to the Far East, where one of its most significant populations is found. Wild boar hunting is one of the most ancient, interesting and predatory hunts. The wild boar has always been considered a worthy trophy by hunters from Russia. The main purpose of wild boar hunting is the extraction of wild meat. Wild boar is less often hunted as a trophy animal. Wild boar meat is very popular with Russian hunters, with the exception of traditionally Muslim regions such as Chechnya or Dagestan. Wild boars are hunted there, but meat is not eaten, because according to the laws of Islam it is considered unclean. The taste of wild boar is in no way inferior to pork, but at the same time it has a richer flavor. Due to its low calorie content and low cholesterol, boar meat is considered dietary. It contains antioxidants responsible for blood sugar levels and phosphorus, which strengthens bones and joints. Wild boar meat has a beneficial effect on the skin and mucous membranes, improves the condition of the nervous and digestive systems. There are three main types of wild boar hunting in Russia: From the tower One of the types of wild boar hunting is hunting from a tower. The main advantage is that the view is significantly increased and the risk of hitting the female is eliminated. Therefore, the use of a tower when hunting wild boar makes it possible to selectively shoot the animal. In addition, this method of hunting is safer compared to approaching the herd on the ground. From the approach. The highlight of this method is that the boar, preoccupied with finding food, loses its vigilance, and the noise it makes makes it difficult to hear the sounds of the hunter approaching. It is necessary to approach the field very quietly – wild boars are very noisy, but at the same time they have sharp hearing, and they can easily notice a carelessly approaching person. Round-up (paddock) For those who like to hunt in the company of friends, round-up (paddock) boar hunting is more suitable. Here, careful organization and an experienced process manager are required from the participants. The principle of hunting wild boars with a pen is as follows: beaters chase wild boars at shooters arranged by numbers. The task of the latter is to react in time and hit the target that has appeared. Wild boar hunting is an exciting and extreme action. Sometimes wild boar hunting takes place accompanied by specially trained hunting dogs. Boar hunting with LAIKA, is always an exciting and emotional hunt. The traditions of such hunting have been honed for many decades. Working with dogs and their various breeds has also had its own changes and various adjustments.

Theodore Roosevelt. From hunter to United States president. Theodore Roosevelt was born in 1858. Teddy, as his friends called him, was a frail child, prone to illness, asthma attacks, and physical weakness. Yet, despite his poor health, he was a passionate lover of wildlife. Inspired by the works of James Audubon, William Bartram, and Alexander Wilson, as well as the adventure novels of Mayne Reid about boy hunters and the writings of Frank Forester, as a teenager Theodore became deeply interested in naturalism and decided to dedicate himself to taxidermy. This, of course, did little to help his asthma, so his father insisted he take up outdoor sports. The choice was obvious: Teddy chose hunting. His passion for hunting was remarkable. He took pride in shooting large numbers of birds and other wildlife, collecting impressive trophies—some of which he, as a naturalist, referred to as "specimens." But for Roosevelt, hunting wild animals and collecting their hides and horns was always about much more than sport—it was a primitive reconnection with the natural, pre-civilized world and "a free, self-reliant, adventurous life with its rugged and sturdy democracy." Hunting was not merely recreation, but a transformative journey involving apprenticeship, youthful trials, and ultimately, self-mastery. It was hunting that strengthened both his body and spirit, paving the way through a series of adventures and challenges to make him the most extraordinary American president. After graduating from Harvard University in 1880, Roosevelt felt drawn to politics. Joining the Republican Party, he won election easily. But just two years later, after serving in the New York State Legislature, Teddy abandoned his political career in favor of the freedom—then still available—of the American West. While hunting bison in Dakota in 1883, he became intrigued by the idea of establishing a cattle ranch in the region. He invested about $80,000—roughly half of his inheritance—into the venture. In the first few years, due to inexperience and harsh weather conditions, he nearly lost everything. As a ranch owner, he had to develop his skills as a rider and hunter, as such abilities were essential for conducting business in these wild territories. These were difficult and dangerous times in every respect. On one occasion, Roosevelt led a posse to capture three armed criminals who had escaped in his boat during the spring flood. The stories from Teddy’s ranch life in Dakota formed the basis of his 1885 book, Ranch Life and the Hunting Trail, which, in many ways, defined his future path. To promote the book, Theodore Roosevelt commissioned a fine buckskin suit made in the style of his childhood heroes, Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett. Wearing this outfit—complete with moccasins, a rifle, and a knife with a deer-antler handle—he posed for a publicity campaign. This was how he envisioned the hunter-heroes and trappers from the books of his youth. His boundless love of hunting was an inseparable part of his identity, and he emphasized it through his hunting wardrobe. Roosevelt’s journey toward prominence in wildlife conservation began, strangely enough, with the same 1885 publication of Ranch Life and the Hunting Trail. The book was largely well received by general readers. However, it drew mixed reactions from experts. One particularly uncomplimentary and even ironic review came from George Bird Grinnell. Grinnell wrote that Roosevelt, as a newcomer to the region, had missed many subtleties and failed to truly understand it. He criticized Roosevelt for his limited experience, claiming Teddy couldn’t separate fact from fiction or truth from exaggeration. Grinnell believed Roosevelt was too credulous toward local hunting myths and tall tales. At the same time, he acknowledged that the book’s naivety gave it a certain charm. Soon after, the two men met. Recognizing Grinnell’s expertise, Roosevelt took his critiques seriously. They became close friends. From their conversations and correspondence emerged the idea of founding the Boone and Crockett Club in 1887. The club’s goals were to “promote manly sport with the rifle,” share information about big game and its habitats, spread the ideals of ethical hunting and interest in natural science, and advocate for wildlife protection and related legislation. Membership was restricted exclusively to hunter-naturalists, emphasizing the club’s commitment to conservation. “All hunters should be nature lovers,” declared Roosevelt when elected as the club’s first president. This was his first taste of the presidency. As President of the United States, Roosevelt made the protection of America’s natural resources a top priority. He established five national parks, four game preserves, and 150 national forests to protect wildlife. During his time in the White House, he set aside 800,000 square kilometers of land as national conservation areas. In protecting the environment and regulating legal hunting, he accomplished more than any of his predecessors or successors. Even as president, Theodore Roosevelt remained true to his passion for hunting. In 1902, he was invited to Mississippi to hunt bear. The trip was difficult, and the president was feeling unwell. To please Roosevelt, one of the hunting party used dogs to corner a bear and tied it to a tree. Roosevelt could have easily shot the animal, but he refused, considering it unworthy of a true sportsman. The incident was widely reported in the American press, transforming a hunting anecdote into a national sensation. Inspired by the story, cartoonist Clifford Berryman created a cartoon with the caption: “Drawing the line in Mississippi.” A New York confectioner, Morris Michtom, and his wife sewed a plush bear toy and named it “Teddy’s Bear.” The Teddy bear was instantly beloved by children and adults alike. As often happens in the United States, a good story quickly turned into a successful business.

Lynx gracefull hunter Lynx swims well and is not afraid of water like domestic cats. There is documentary evidence that one lynx swam 3.2 km across the Yukon River. Also, the lynx is good at climbing and hiding in trees, escaping from opponents high in the trees. It is considered that lynxes hunt exclusively on the ground. But as you can see from this video, a mountain river is also a suitable place. Lynx (bobcat ) eats 0.6—1.2 kg per day. Mainly hunts the American white hair, which takes up tu 97% of it the total diet. The percentage depends on the season and the number of hares. When there are not enough hares, lynxes begin to hunt ducks, grouse, partridges, squirrels, voles thereby causing serious damage to some of these bird species. Young ungulates (for example, Dall sheep, black-tailed deer, northern forest caribou) can also be a prey. In summer and autumn, the lynx often adds small mammals to its diet, in addition to the hare. Before giving birth to offspring, the lynx prepares a den in dense thickets. As a rule, lynxes have 1-5 kittens. At 5 weeks, kittens leave the den, and by 3 months they are weaned from milk, and switch to eating regular food, which is hunted by mother lynx. Lynx kittens begin to hunt thoroughly at 7-9 months of age.

After my weekend training in Moscow shooting club, I remembered an outstanding meeting. It took place last September at the ADIHEX 2024, Abu Dhabi hunting exhibition. On a photo one of the fastest shooters on the planet, Raniero Testa. He had already set several world records and continues to surprise with new ones. Only after trying yourself in some kind of sport or art, you can really understand how difficult it is. What kind of effort and dedication does it take to become the best in what you do. I have great respect for all real professionals regardless of the type of activity. Raniero Testa (Italy) holds the record by throwing 17 sports clay targets with his hands and smashing them with 17 shots. And that's not all: the clay targets were hit in a record time of 2.08 seconds. If you count it, it turns out that the combined Raniero/Winchester SX4 produced a rate of fire of 490 rounds per minute – higher than the rate of fire of the M3 “Grease Gun" submachine gun!! Raniero Testa is a genius in shooting. Apparently, the biggest difficulty that he had to overcome was not setting the record itself, but the ability to hold 17 clay targets with one hand))) For me, what Reniero Testa does is something like magic. I think he's a true magician. Bravo Raniero Testa!
