Animal crossroads. The place where all the trails intersect… Look how lucky can be one well-installed camera trap f. Amazing video! I wonder if the person who installed it was just lucky or if he is an experienced hunter and ranger. Animal trails are the clearest and most trampled near rivers, lakes and other watering places. And the most unpleasant thing is that the further away they are from the watering hole, the more they diverge, branch out, and almost get lost in the thicket of the forest. They are difficult to track even for very experienced hunters. They become invisible to humans. Animals find their paths unmistakably thanks to their sense of smell, but humans have a bad sense of smell. So it turns out that the path found in a person's misunderstanding "suddenly suddenly ended." Berries and mushrooms grow well along animal trails, because animals carry their seeds and spores on their paws, hooves and in their stomachs, and bears, for example, often make trails to berry fields or along berry fields, such as raspberries. Finding such an animal crossroads is a special piece of luck. Let's see how this can be done. How to understand that the trail is bestial It winds and splits into smaller paths that converge and then diverge: 🐾 The certified trail is the most trampled at the watering hole. If the trail is decreasing, it means you are moving away from the watering place. 🐾 If the path runs through clay in places, then you can distinguish animal tracks. In general, sometimes animals go out on human trails, but usually their tracks just cross our roads. 🐾 Animals leave their excrement right on the trail along the way. People leave behind a variety of human garbage. Unfortunately, in this case, the garbage will definitely tell you that this is not an animal trail. 🐾 If branches converge low over the path and you have to bend down so that they don't slap your face, then the path clearly belongs to one of the quadrupeds – wolves, wild boars, bears. 🐾 If the path is clearly uncomfortable, it means an animal path. The human path does not make sharp illogical loops, there are no large branches lying on it. A person removes all this from the road and generally lays out a more or less clear, direct route. The animals do not remove the branches from their path, but simply step over them. Separately about the bears Along his trails, he breaks young trees and makes marks on large trees with his claws. These are deep, well-visible scratches. He also scratches his back against the trunks of large trees, leaving hairs on the bark. But a bear, for example, can go out on a human trail to leave its marks and thereby show that it is not happy with the presence of a human.

Review of the Pulsar Helion XQ38F Thermal Imager I recently purchased the Pulsar Helion XQ38F thermal imager, and after extensive use, I feel it's time to share my experience. Overall, this device has exceeded my expectations in various areas, but it does come with a few drawbacks that need addressing. Pros: Real-Time Video Transmission: One of the standout features of the Helion XQ38F is its ability to stream video in real time to iOS and Android devices via the Stream Vision app. This is incredibly useful for sharing observations with friends or colleagues and enhances the overall user experience. The app is intuitive and straightforward to navigate, making it easy to pair with mobile devices. Image Quality: The thermal imaging provided by the XQ38F is exceptional. With a high-resolution sensor, the clarity and details captured in the thermal spectrum are impressive. This proves invaluable for wildlife observation, search and rescue operations, or even home inspections. Durability: The build quality of the Helion XQ38F gives me confidence that it can withstand various environmental conditions. It's designed to be rugged and water-resistant, which is a significant plus for outdoor enthusiasts or professionals who use it in challenging settings. Battery Life: The battery life is commendable, easily lasting through long observation sessions without requiring a recharge. This reliability means I don't need to carry extra batteries for a day in the field. User-Friendly Interface: The controls are intuitive, allowing for quick adjustments to settings such as brightness and contrast. This user-friendly approach makes it accessible for beginners while still catering to those with more advanced thermal imaging needs. Cons: Price Point: The Helion XQ38F is definitely a premium product, and its price reflects that. While I believe the quality justifies the cost for serious users, it may be out of reach for casual hobbyists or those on a budget. Weight: The device is somewhat on the heavier side compared to some of its competitors. While the added weight contributes to the robustness of the device, it can become tedious during extended use without a tripod. Limited Streaming Features: Although the real-time streaming feature is undoubtedly beneficial, the functionality could be expanded. For instance, having the ability to record video directly on the mobile device would enhance its usability further. Learning Curve for Advanced Features: While the basic functions are easy to navigate, some of the advanced features may require a bit of a learning curve. Although the manual is comprehensive, I found some features needed clearer instructions or tutorials. Connectivity Issues: Occasionally, I experienced connectivity issues between the thermal imager and the mobile app, requiring me to restart either the app or the device. This can be frustrating when trying to capture or share a moment quickly. Pulsar Helion XQ38F 👍🏻 #Pulsar #HelionXQ38F

WINCHESTER 1300 Turkey Pump Shotgun Review As an avid hunter and shooting enthusiast, I've had the opportunity to use the Winchester 1300 Turkey pump shotgun in various field conditions. This shotgun, chambered in 12x70 with a barrel length of 570 mm, has become a staple in my hunting gear. Here’s my honest assessment, highlighting both the pros and cons. Pros: Accuracy and Precision: One of the standout features of the Winchester 1300 Turkey is its remarkably tight and sharp shot patterns. Whether you are aiming at turkeys or other upland game, this shotgun consistently delivers a concentrated stream of shot, significantly improving your chances of a successful hit. Interchangeable Chokes Winchester 1300: The inclusion of interchangeable chokes is a game-changer for versatility. Depending on the hunting scenario, I can easily switch between different chokes to adjust the spread of shot. This adaptability allows me to tackle various distances and types of game effectively. Ergonomic Design: The overall design of the shotgun is user-friendly. The camouflaged plastic stock not only provides a comfortable grip but also blends seamlessly into the hunting environment. This aesthetic quality is a bonus for those who prioritize concealment while hunting. Lightweight and Balanced: Weighing in at a manageable weight, the Winchester 1300 Turkey is easy to carry around during long hunting days. The well-balanced construction enhances maneuverability, making quick shots feasible when needed. Cons: Plastic Components: While the camouflaged plastic is lightweight, I do have some concerns about its durability over time. Although it holds up relatively well under normal conditions, I occasionally worry about long-term wear and tear, especially in rough environments. Action Noise: The pump action can be somewhat noisy, which might alert game if you're not careful. When you need to make quick follow-up shots, the sound of racking the pump could potentially give away your position. Recoil Management: The recoil from this shotgun can be significant, especially with heavier loads. First-time users might feel a bit overwhelmed by the kick, which could affect accuracy if they’re not accustomed to handling such powerful firearms. Limited Customization Options: While the factory setup works well for many, those looking for a high level of customization may find the options somewhat limited compared to other models in its category. Overall, the Winchester 1300 Turkey pump shotgun is a solid choice for turkey hunters and anyone in need of a reliable shotgun for upland game. Its excellent accuracy, user-friendly design, and adaptability with interchangeable chokes make it a worthwhile investment. However, potential users should weigh the drawbacks, particularly regarding the noise of the action and the recoil. With proper handling and care, this shotgun can be a fantastic companion on your hunting adventures. #Winchester1300 #TurkeyShotgun #12Gauge #PumpA

Review of the SAN SWISS ARMS SHR 970 Hunting Rifle in .300 Winchester Magnum As an avid hunter and shooting enthusiast, I recently had the opportunity to test the SAN SWISS ARMS SHR 970 rifle chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum. Over the course of several outings, I gathered my thoughts on this firearm, both positive and negative, which I believe will be helpful to potential buyers. Pros: Build Quality: The SAN SWISS ARMS SHR 970 boasts an impressive build quality. The materials feel robust, and the rifle has a solid, well-engineered look and feel. The machined components contribute to its durability, making it suitable for various hunting environments. Match Barrel: One of the standout features of SHR 970 is its match-grade barrel. The accuracy it provides is remarkable, especially at long distances. I’ve managed to achieve tight groupings, making it an excellent choice for precision shooting. Integrated Muzzle Brake: The integrated muzzle brake significantly reduces recoil, which is particularly beneficial given the .300 Winchester Magnum's reputation for strong kick. This feature not only makes shooting more comfortable but also helps maintain better follow-up shot capability. Adjustable Trigger: Another highlight is the adjustable trigger system. The smooth, crisp pull improves accuracy, allowing for better shot placement. Personalizing the trigger weight was straightforward and added to my overall comfort with the rifle. Ergonomics: The SHR 970 design is ergonomic. The stock fits well in the shoulder, and the overall weight distribution makes it manageable during extended hunting trips. Cons: Weight: While the sturdiness of the SHR 970 is a pro, the weight can be a downside for some users. It’s on the heavier side compared to other hunting rifles, which may lead to fatigue during long hikes in the field. Price: The price point is higher than many comparable models on the market. While I believe the quality justifies the expense, it may not be accessible to every budget. Finish: I found the rifle’s finish to be somewhat prone to wear and scratches. While it's not a deal-breaker, it’s worth mentioning for those who prioritize aesthetics and long-term preservation of their firearms. Limited Customization: Though there are some aftermarket accessories available, I noticed that options for customization were somewhat limited. This might restrict users looking to personalize their rifles further. Reloading Considerations: For hunters interested in reloading, the .300 Winchester Magnum can be a bit demanding on components and has a steeper learning curve compared to other calibers Overall, the SAN SWISS ARMS SHR 970 is a well-made rifle that delivers impressive accuracy and performance, particularly appealing to precision shooters and serious hunters. While there are some considerations regarding weight and price, the benefits of its match-grade barrel, integrated muzzle brake, and adjustable trigger generally outweigh the drawbacks

How can a young lady protect you in case of a polar bear attack? The photos shows KLM flight attendant Joanna Van Duffelen, with a Fairchild Armalite AR–10 combat rifle, dressed in Arctic clothing. Photo 1959. The work of flight attendants and stewards begins long before the departure of the aircraft and does not end immediately after landing. The main thing in this job is not food and drinks, but the safety of passengers in any critical situation. In 1958, KLM launched transarctic flights from Amsterdam to Tokyo with refueling in Anchorage. It was the era of motor aircraft at the dawn of mass passenger aviation. The company paid special attention to the risk of an emergency landing in the Arctic. Each plane carried a set of survival equipment. As you can see, KLM Dutch Airlines flight attendant Joanna is ready for the rigors of life in the Arctic. Ms. Van Duffelen is wearing Arctic survival gear aboard every KLM plane flying the polar route from Amsterdam to Tokyo. The set consists of hundreds of items, including sleeping bags, snow goggles, axes, snow saws, knives, traps, fishing nets, and special rations. The rifle, designed and developed by the Armalite division of Fairchild Engine Corporation and Airplane Corporation, is part of KLM's standard survival equipment. So how can a frail flight attendant survive in the Arctic and protect herself and passengers in the event of a polar bear attack? The Arctic survival kit included: warm down jackets, shared sleeping bags for 4 people, snowshoes, glasses, a 2-burner burner with dishes, a shovel, an axe, a raft, cords, candles, knives, flares, flasks and much more. But the most important thing is the AR-10 carbines in case of a collision with a polar bear :) In total, 4-engine DC-7 aircraft took 400 kg of equipment on each flight.

Review of the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binocular with Rangefinder The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 is a top-tier thermal binocular aimed at both amateur and professional users who require high-quality thermal imaging for activities such as wildlife observation, hunting, and security. After spending substantial time testing its features in various environments, I’ve compiled a detailed review showcasing both the positives and negatives of this impressive device. Pros: Exceptional Image Quality: The thermal resolution of 640x480 pixels combined with a refresh rate of 50 Hz offers outstanding clarity. Even in challenging conditions, such as low-light scenarios, the thermal imaging is sharp, making it easy to identify objects and animals over long distances. Integrated Rangefinder: The built-in laser rangefinder is an impressive addition, providing accurate distance measurements up to 1000 meters. This feature is incredibly useful for hunters who need to assess their shot distances quickly. User-Friendly Interface Pulsar Accolade: The interface is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through settings, options, and display modes without feeling overwhelmed. This accessibility is particularly beneficial for new users. Ergonomics and Build Quality: The device Pulsar Accolade is well-constructed with a comfortable grip. It's lightweight enough for prolonged use, which is crucial during long observation sessions or hunts. Wi-Fi Connectivity: The option to connect to a smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi for streaming or controlling the binoculars enhances the user experience, allowing for easy sharing and real-time observations. Versatile Use: Whether it’s for wildlife observation, search and rescue, or military applications, the versatility of the Pulsar Accolade 2 makes it suitable for various environments and situations. Cons: Price Point: The Accolade 2 LRF XP50 is on the expensive side, which may not be feasible for casual users or those just starting in thermal imaging. It’s an investment, and while the quality justifies the price to an extent, it can be a barrier for some. Battery Life Pulsar : While the device generally performs well, the battery life could be improved. In heavy usage, users may find themselves needing to recharge or replace batteries sooner than expected, which can be inconvenient during extended outings. Weight Considerations: Although it’s designed to be lightweight, some users may still find it a bit heavy for prolonged handheld use. A tripod or stabilizing equipment may be necessary for extended observations. Learning Curve: Despite its user-friendly interface, some advanced features may require a bit of time to master fully. New users may feel overwhelmed initially but will get accustomed to the functionality with practice. Limited Zoom Capability: The maximum magnification is around 4.5x, which might be limiting for users needing more powerful zoom for distant objects. #PulsarAccolade2 #ThermalBinocular

Snowy mountain goats are fearless rock conquerors. Snow mountain goats (Latin Oreamnos americanus) belong to the heavy type, the largest individuals reach 95-105 cm at the withers, and weigh more than 120 kg. But the horns of these goats are small – only 21-30 cm. The snowy mountain goat was found in western North America. The main range in the USA is the mountain ranges of the states of Idaho, Montana and southeastern Alaska, in Canada — the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and the southern Yukon territory. The species has also been settled on the Olympic Peninsula, as far as the center of Alaska, as well as in Nevada, Colorado and Wyoming. The snowy mountain goat is a mountain animal that lives in hard—to-reach places, above the forest border, and is often found in summer at altitudes even above 3,000 meters above sea level. It feeds on grasses and lichens, and tolerates frosts up to -40 ° C. It keeps small herds. Although mountain goats were never domesticated or used for wool production, the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast in pre-Columbian times used their wool in weaving, collecting the spring shedding wool left by wild goats. Surprisingly, the snow goat can change the color of its horns. The appendages cannot be called large — they differ little from the horns of an ordinary domestic goat: smooth, small, slightly curved. But they have one special feature. If it's warm outside, then the horns of the snow goat are gray. And as soon as winter comes, they change color to black. Biologists estimate that the total number of snowy mountain goats currently ranges from 80,000 to 119,000 mature individuals. The view is protected. Despite its relative small population, the threat of extinction due to the inaccessibility of habitat areas is low.

Prishvin Russian writer and hunter. Mikhail Mikhailovich Prishvin (1873-1954) was an outstanding Russian and Soviet writer, novelist and publicist, correspondent, traveler, photographer, local historian, teacher. But perhaps the most famous aspect of Mikhail Prishvin's life and work is his passion for hunting. Hunting is not simple, but filled with the deepest love and respect for nature. Prishvin considered hunting not only a simple means of subsistence, but also a way of communicating with nature and understanding its ways. He used his experience as a hunter in his works, enriching them, enlivening the world of nature for readers. During the hunt, Prishvin often took photographs and notes. These drafts then endowed the landscapes of his stories with living force and almost physically tangible properties, as if the reader himself found himself in these places, they were so authentic. Prishvin was a hunter, but he did not hunt just for the excitement, all his hunting was in moderation and did not harm the wild. Wandering with a hunting rifle, Mikhail Prishvin, for the most part, simply observed nature, noticed features and the unknown, which often escapes our gaze. Prishvin was a pioneer of photography in Russia. And despite the huge size of the cameras in those days, the writer took a photo accessory on his long hunting trips. Prishvin illustrated his first book, "In the Land of Undeterred Birds," with his photographs taken in 1906 during a hike in the North with the help of a bulky camera belonging to a fellow traveler. Particular value has Prishvin diaries, which he kept throughout his life, for more than half a century – from 1905 to his death, trying not to miss a single day. It contains the entire epoch of the first half of the twentieth century, lived by an attentive and sensitive person. They are constantly arguing with oneself, searching for one's place in the world, and reflecting on society, country, and time. And of course they describe the great hunts of the great writer.

Labrodors – great hunters, even if they hunt mushrooms. Labrador is hunting dog, so … If a Labrador is picking mushrooms, it's called hunting anyway, just mushroom hunting. "Truffle hunters" are looking for an underground mushroom by smell. Everyone knows that pigs have traditionally been used in this field. But these, undoubtedly, the smartest animals have a big drawback: greed. They know about truffles in about the same way as they do about oranges. Having found a precious mushroom, the pig devours it without a twinge of conscience – if the owner does not have time to take it away. Any dog with a little sense of smell can easily sniff out the strong smell of a ripe truffle and indicate its location, without having to dig it up and devour it, as trained pigs do. In addition, it is somehow more convenient for an intelligent urban truffle collector to keep a dog in an apartment than a pig. Labradors once again hold the title of the main good boys, this time in the hunt for truffles, beating even the hounds from Italy and France.  Dogs undergo serious training. This course of study can be called "Truffle Dog University." If before it was necessary to hire a special truffle trainer, now you can try to teach your Labrador yourself. Nina Roe, Labrador Oscar's owner, noticed his talent for hunting truffles when he was a puppy. At 14 weeks old, she began to train him on YouTube lessons, and even then the dog found all the pieces of mushrooms that Nina hid around the house. The treats motivated him greatly, and soon Labrador Oscar went on his first informal hunting trip to the nearest forest. The result was excellent — every 10-20 seconds he returned with a mushroom, and in total the "harvest" reached half a kilogram. By the way, Nina Roe herself is a chef from Sufflock, she produces truffle salt and oil, and also provides truffle search services. Needless to say, Labrador Oscar turned out to be the best business partner?

Beretta 686 Onyx 12/76 Double-Barrel Shotgun Review I recently had the opportunity to try out the Beretta 686 Onyx 12/76, a double-barrel shotgun renowned for its quality and craftsmanship. Below are my thoughts on its performance, design, and my overall experience with the firearm. Pros: Exceptional Craftsmanship: The construction of the Beretta 686 Onyx is nothing short of impressive. The barrels are made from a special grade of chrome-molybdenum steel, providing durability and resistance to wear. The shotgun feels solid in hand, and every component seems meticulously crafted. Elegant Design: The vertical alignment of the barrels gives the 686 Onyx a classic and elegant look. The finish is sleek, and the wood is finely polished, which adds to its aesthetic appeal. It's a shotgun that stands out, whether on the range or in the field. Nice Balance and Weight: Weighing in at 2.9 kg, the shotgun is perfectly balanced for my frame. The overall length of 1100 mm and barrel length of 710 mm make it comfortable to carry during long hunting trips, yet it remains manageable for quick shots. Reliable Performance: I've found the performance to be exceptional, with a smooth trigger pull and reliable ejection of spent shells. It handles various loads well, which is a significant advantage when hunting different game types. Adjustable for Comfort: The classic top lever for locking the action is easy to operate, and the adjustable features ensure that I can tailor it to my shooting style, greatly improving my accuracy. Cons: Price Point: The Beretta 686 Onyx is certainly an investment. While the craftsmanship justifies the cost for many enthusiasts, it may not be the best option for casual shooters or those on a budget. Weight Distribution Beretta : Although it's generally well-balanced, some might find the weight slightly on the heavier side when compared to some modern shotguns. This could potentially lead to fatigue over extended periods of use, especially for younger or less experienced shooters. Limited Customization Options: While the shotgun performs admirably out of the box, I wish there were more options for accessories or modifications. Some shooters prefer more customization, which might be limited with this model. Learning Curve: For those new to double-barrel shotguns, the Beretta 686 Onyx may have a steep learning curve. The mechanics and operation differ from semi-automatic shotguns, which could require extra practice for those unfamiliar with break-action models. In summary, the Beretta 686 Onyx 12/76 is a beautifully made shotgun that delivers both in performance and aesthetics. It’s suitable for both hunting and sport shooting, providing a touch of class to any shooter's collection. However, it's essential to consider your budget and shooting needs before making this significant investment. Overall, for enthusiasts who value quality and tradition, the Beretta 686 Onyx is definitely worth considering. #Beretta #onyx #12/76

Marocchi I First 12/76 Inertia Shotgun Review I recently purchased the Marocchi I First 12/76 shotgun, and I’d like to share my thoughts on this firearm. Having used it on various hunting trips and at the shooting range, I've gathered a good amount of experience with this weapon. Pros: Build Quality: The Marocchi I First features high-quality construction. The soft rubberized plastic is not only comfortable to hold but also provides a good grip, which is essential in maintaining control while shooting. Lightweight Design: Weighing less than many of its counterparts, the Marocchi I First is easy to carry, especially during long hunts. This feature makes it a great option for those who value mobility. Smooth Operation Marocchi I First : The inertia mechanism functions exceptionally well. I found that the shotgun cycles smoothly and reliably after each shot, which is critical during fast-paced shooting situations. Aesthetic Appeal Marocchi I First: The design is sleek and modern, giving it an appealing look. The finish is quite nice, and I’ve noticed no scratches or dents after several outings. Capacity Marocchi I First: With a 5-round capacity, it strikes a good balance between firepower and weight. This is particularly useful in hunting scenarios where quick follow-up shots might be needed. Cons: Limited Customization: One downside I encountered was the lack of customization options. While the shotgun performs well out of the box, shooters looking to personalize their firearm with attachments or different chokes might find options limited. Recoil Management Marocchi I First : While the shotgun is lightweight, it does produce a fair amount of recoil, especially with heavier loads. This may be uncomfortable for inexperienced shooters or those who prefer less kick. Availability of Spare Parts: Given that Marocchi is not as widely known as some other brands, finding spare parts or accessories can be somewhat challenging. This could pose an issue for users who want to maintain their shotgun or need repairs in the future. Training Requirement Marocchi I First: The inertia system requires a certain technique to operate effectively. New shooters may need time to adapt, which can be a drawback for those just starting their shooting journey. Overall, the Marocchi I First 12/76 is a solid option for both hunters and sport shooters. Its comfort, design, and performance make it a worthwhile investment. However, potential buyers should consider the recoil and limited customization options. If you’re looking for a reliable shotgun with excellent build quality, this model is certainly worth considering. #MarocchiIFirst #InertiaShotgun #ShootingReview #Shotgun #HuntingGear #GunReview #Firearm #Italy #ShootingSports #12Gauge

Review of the ELECTRO-DOT SIGHT Red Dot Sight As an avid shooter and outdoor enthusiast, I recently had the chance to test the ELECTRO-DOT SIGHT, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it. Below are my experiences, both positive and negative. Pros: Ease of Use: One of the biggest advantages of the ELECTRO-DOT SIGHT is its user-friendly design. The dot is easy to see in various lighting conditions, making it straightforward to acquire targets quickly. The adjustment controls for elevation and windage are intuitive, allowing for quick sighting adjustments without complicating the process. Durability: This sight is built like a tank. The rugged construction feels solid and can withstand the rigors of outdoor use. I’ve taken it out in harsh conditions, including rain and mud, and it has not faltered. It’s also shockproof, which gives me confidence when using it on high-caliber firearms. Battery Life: The battery life of the ELECTRO-DOT SIGHT is impressive. I’ve noticed that I can use it for extended periods without worrying about losing power. The auto shut-off feature is a nice touch that helps conserve battery life. Lightweight: Weighing in at just a few ounces, this sight doesn’t add significant weight to my rifle, making it easier to carry during long days in the field. Versatile Mounting Options: The sight comes with various mounting options, allowing it to be compatible with a wide range of firearms. Whether you're using it on a rifle, shotgun, or even a pistol, you'll likely find a way to mount it efficiently. Cons: Limited Brightness Settings: While the brightness adjustment feature is handy, I feel it could use a wider range of settings. In extremely bright sunlight, I sometimes find the dot to be less visible than I would like, which can impact my accuracy. Adjustment Dials: Although the adjustment dials are easy to use, I’ve found them to be a bit sensitive. A minor touch can sometimes lead to significant changes, which means I need to be extra careful when making adjustments. Price Point: While the ELECTRO-DOT SIGHT offers solid performance, it might be on the pricier side for some casual shooters. There are more affordable options available that offer decent features, but the quality here makes it worth considering if you’re serious about your shooting. Lack of Night Vision Capability: For night shooting enthusiasts, the absence of night vision compatibility is a significant downside. While it performs admirably during the day, it falls short for those looking to use it in low-light conditions. Field of View: Some users, including myself, have noted a slightly restricted field of view when using the sight. Although it's not a deal-breaker, it’s something to be aware of if you are accustomed to using wider optics. Overall, the ELECTRO-DOT SIGHT is a commendable red dot sight that offers excellent durability and user-friendliness. It’s ideal for both beginners and seasoned shooters, provided you're aware of its limitations. #

A little more about unusual art… Irina Prokofieva Tyumen (Russia) artist creates paintings and accessories from cigar bands. Irina got acquainted with cigar culture in 2020, when friends gave her a bag with cigar bands. The first painting created was first hung in a Chelyabinsk (Russia) cigar club. It shows a girl smoking a cigar. Irina spend about two weeks to make one artwork from cigar bonds. "Cigars are an art form. And painting is an art. One goes well with the other," says the artist. Today artworks from cigar bands by Irina become more and more popular. This is how was born the idea to produce silk scarves for men and women with the prints of these unique works. Firstly a plot is being developed, and a composition is being built from cigar bands on the canvas. Then the work is digitized, finalized in a graphic editor and transferred to high-quality Italian silk. The subjects are very diverse: from animalism to portraits. That's how silk shawl collection was born by cigar band artworks…

Soldiers of the elite guard unit of the Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in a leopard skin uniform, 1960, Tehran. Persian leopards are one of the largest subspecies of leopards in the world. Their body length ranges from 126 to 183 cm, and their tail is 94-116 cm long. The skull is 20-25 cm long in males and 20-22 cm in females. The upper teeth of males reach a length of 68-75 mm, in females they are 64-67 mm. The height of the animal is approximately 76 cm, the average weight reaches 70 kg. In general, it is a very cautious and secretive animal. A leopard usually tries to hide, but when defending itself, it can even attack humans. He chooses gorges with streams or dense thickets as shelters. In deciduous forests, it can climb high into trees. It is not afraid of frosts and heat, but the predator usually stays far from reservoirs. The distribution range of this subspecies is quite wide, starting from the Main Caucasian Ridge and continuing to the Red Sea, and from the Bosphorus Channel to Pakistan. The predator can be found in countries such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey, where it has adapted to a wide variety of habitat conditions. In the Caucasus, the Central Asian leopard adheres to mountain deciduous forests, sometimes descending lower, to thickets of shrubs in the foothills. In Central Asia, the Persian leopard is found exclusively in the mountains, in summer – on subalpine meadows, in winter – in the foothills. Places to live are chosen next to rocks, scattered stones and cliffs. The catastrophic decrease in the population of the Persian leopard is the result of constant hunting of animals, the economic development of their natural habitats, as well as a reduction in the number of wild ungulates, which form the basis of the diet of this predator. To restore this subspecies, leopards are protected in all countries where they live. The population of the Persian leopard is estimated at 870-1300 individuals. There are from 550 to 850 animals in Iran, from 200 to 300 in Afghanistan, from 90 to 100 in Turkmenistan, only 10-13 in Azerbaijan, and 3-4 in Nagorno-Karabakh, 10-13 in Armenia, and about 5 in Georgia and Turkey. There is even a special program in Russia to increase their numbers of Persian leopard. In addition, the subspecies is listed in the Red Book of Russia as an endangered species and in the International Red Book. Persian leopards prey on livestock, and therefore rural farmers often lure leopards into traps and kill them. Locals also illegally hunt Persian leopards for their use in the Chinese traditional medicine market. Leopard paws are often sold in Iran and burned during ceremonies to get rid of bad omens or black magic.

Beretta S687EL GOLD FIGEON II Review As an avid shotgun enthusiast, I recently had the opportunity to try out the Beretta S687EL GOLD FIGEON II, and I must say, it’s a mixed bag that comes with both impressive features and some aspects that I feel could be improved. Below, I've detailed my experience and observations with this particular model. Pros: Build Quality: The S687EL is undeniably a work of art. The craftsmanship that Beretta is known for shines through in the meticulous detailing, particularly in the engraving on the receiver. It’s made from high-quality materials, which gives it a solid feel in hand. Aesthetics: The Gold Figeon's design is beautiful. The gold inlays and exquisite finish make it stand out in any collection. If you’re looking for a shotgun that is not just functional but also visually captivating, this one hits the mark. Handling: The balance of the shotgun is excellent. It feels natural and well-weighted when shouldered. This makes it an absolute joy to shoot, especially during long days in the field. The stock is comfortable, providing a secure grip and minimizing fatigue. Performance: When it comes to shooting, the S687EL delivers an outstanding performance. The shot patterns are consistent, and I’ve found it to be reliable across various types of ammunition, especially great for clay shooting. Custom Options: The Beretta S687EL offers various customization options for both stock and barrel lengths, allowing shooters to tailor the shotgun to their personal preferences, which is a massive advantage for a gun owner. Cons: Price Point: Without a doubt, the S687EL is on the expensive side. While you’re getting a high-quality product, for entry-level shooters or those on a tight budget, the price could be a significant barrier to purchasing. Weight: Although the shotgun feels balanced, some users might find it a bit heavy after extended use. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's worth considering if you plan to carry it for long distances during hunting. Recoil: While the shotgun is generally comfortable to shoot, the recoil can be pretty pronounced, especially when using heavier loads. Shooters who are sensitive to recoil may want to consider this before making a purchase. Limited Availability: Depending on your location, finding the S687EL GOLD FIGEON II can be a challenge. It’s not always stocked in shops, which may require you to order it online or visit multiple gun stores, potentially delaying your acquisition. Complexity: For beginners, the intricacies of cleaning and maintaining this shotgun can be daunting. The precision engineering that makes it so great also means that proper care is crucial to avoid potential issues down the line. Overall, the Beretta S687EL GOLD FIGEON II is a stunning shotgun that offers exceptional performance and aesthetics for serious shooters. However, the weight, price point, and recoil might be concerns for some. #Beretta #S687EL #GoldFigeonII #ShotgunReview
