for meget længe siden, i den historiske fortid, var steppebobak murmeldyr en almindelig art for skovsteppe- og steppedelene af hele den russiske slette og Kasakhstan. En af hovedårsagerne til reduktionen i dets antal og rækkevidde i historisk tid var, sammen med fiskeriet, landbruget. Fra anden halvdel af det 19. århundrede steg andelen af agerjord i Volga-regionen, ved Don og andre steder hurtigt. Murmeldyr blev tvunget til at flytte til såkaldt ubelejlige lande - ind i kløfter, kløfter, i udkanten af skove og skråningerne af flodterrasser. De blev bevaret på sådanne stationer. Antropogen faktor Under påvirkning af forskellige menneskeskabte faktorer, i begyndelsen af det 20. århundrede, var de vigtigste bestande af steppe murmeldyr stærkt undermineret. Denne situation forværredes i årene med historiske katastrofer: hungersnød i Volga-regionen og andre steder, hvor murmeldyr levede i 1921-1922; i perioden med kollektivisering og afgrødesvigt i 30'erne af det sidste århundrede;

Jagd & Hund Exhibition in Dortmund, Germany As an avid hunter, I recently had the pleasure of attending the Jagd & Hund exhibition held in Dortmund from January 28, 2025. This event was a remarkable experience for anyone who shares a passion for hunting, and I wanted to share my thoughts. First and foremost, the selection of modern hunting weapons was truly impressive. From state-of-the-art rifles to innovative shotguns, the variety on display catered to all hunting styles and preferences. I had the opportunity to handle several models, and the manufacturers were more than willing to discuss specifications, features, and the latest advancements in technology. Beyond firearms, the exhibition also showcased a stunning range of all-terrain vehicles specifically designed for hunting. These rugged machines are equipped to tackle any terrain, making them perfect companions for those long trips into the wilderness. 2100 kilometers in three days, a couple late nights and busy talking to people and giving presentations at the Parkland Outdoor Show & Expo could wear a person out but the energy at this show kept us so energized. It was really humbling talking to people there that said they'd driven all the way from Manitoba or distant locations in Saskatchewan just to meet us. The only downside to to the show was that virtually everyone that we chatted with had a picture of a bigger deer on their phone than TJ has ever taken ;) It was pretty cool spending time with several of the top TV show hosts and outdoor personalities in Canada. We work in a pretty amazing industry with a bunch of amazing people. Sharing the stage with them at the Royal Rumble was pretty entertaining. Thanks to LIVE 2 HUNT with Cody and Kelsy for emceeing this question and answer session, even though he was afraid to have a push up competition. ;) And thanks to all the people that we shared a stage with. Top 5 Hunting Towns in America Have You Ever Hunted in These Towns? Man, you hate to rank stuff sometimes. Case in point, college football. What makes one team better than another, anyway — TV time, a difficult schedule, wins and losses? Rankings and choices concerning numero uno lend themselves to loopholes, weak arguments and plenty of opinions. So what exactly qualifies a town as one of the BEST hunting towns in America? To find out, I polled hunters who find themselves in the woods for work and play … biologists, editors and industry folks, and here’s what they said: Every great hunting town needs a variety of game. It has to have cafés, hole-in-the wall restaurants, inexpensive hotels, meat processors, and a game and fish office nearby doesn’t hurt, either. Tons of public hunting land within an hour’s drive. Interesting stuff to see if you tag out early or just get tired of hunting. Albuquerque, New Mexico New Mexico’s scattered peaks are notorious for growing monster bulls. A r

Fishing in Costa Rica: Dancing the Jig with Costa Rican Monsters The volcanic reefs off the coast of Costa Rica remind me of a haunted house. They are dark with all kinds of nooks, crannies, and pinnacles to hide in, or seek a quick escape. There could be a monster around every corner sitting at an ambush point. Grouper hang close to the bottom. A variety of snapper and big Almaco jacks cruise just above them patrolling the water column. African Pompano and Bluefin trevally are mixed with them. Above all that large schools of jack crevalle and barracuda circle like a wagon train waiting for a school of bonito or other baitfish to arrive. Mark Davis has a knack for fooling these monsters. He needs to. As host of one of the most popular fishing shows on television, Big Water Adventures, he is expected to produce. He rarely lets his audience down. Starting his 15th season, Davis is a survivor in a tough industry. And unlike some who carry an entourage of many people to produce their s

To korthårede pointere tåler nemt frostnætter ned til -7 °C i bilen.
