Yes, beautifully managed trophy hunting by Zambezi Delta Safaris in 500,000 acre Hunting Block 11 has increased native wildlife to such high numbers that they were able to reintroduce cheetahs, a predator missing from the area for at least 100 years. Cabela's Family Foundation is a big part of this program. Four cheetah were released this day. I got this shot by running a GoPro 10 on video mode atop a small tripod while I operated a Canon R6 and 150-600mm Sigma. Lots of good video from both cameras, but this single frame pulled from the GoPro captured the essence of wildlife restoration advanced by and funded by dedicated sport/trophy hunters. Livonijas ordeņa mūra pils ir senākā celtne Dobelē un valsts nozīmes kultūras piemineklis. Šī vieta nesen piedzīvojusi pārbūvi - pārbūvēta Dobeles Livonijas ordeņa pils kapela, kā arī pils laukuma teritorija. Pārbūvētā kapelas ēka ir nodota ekspluatācijā 2020. gadā, un kļuvusi par daudzfunkcionālu, kultūras, amatniecības un tūrisma attīstības centru ar nosaukumu "Dobeles Pils". Zemgaļu koka pils vietā pils ir celta no 1335. līdz 1359. gadam. Pils bijusi apdzīvota līdz 1730. gadam. Dobeles senāko iedzīvotāju – zemgaļu – apmetne te atradusies jau 1000 gadus p.m.ē. Senās pilsētas ielokā bijusi uzcelta zemgaļu koka pils, kur bijis viens no seno zemgaļu administratīvajiem centriem. Pils vairākkārt minēta Atskaņu hronikā, stāstot par kaujām, kas 13. gadsimtā notika starp vietējiem iedzīvotājiem un vācu bruņiniekiem. No 1279. līdz 1289. gadam Dobeles pils izturēja sešus ienaidnieka aplenkumus. 1289. gadā zemgaļi neuzvarēti pili pameta, paši to nodedzinot, un devās uz Rakti Lietuvā. No 1335.

Профессор Аризонского государственного университета Клаус Лакнер, пионер в области прямого улавливания воздуха и хранения углерода, предлагает создавать «механические деревья» для захвата CO2 непосредственно из воздуха и предотвращения изменения климата. Съемку провела команда Национального управления океанических и атмосферных исследований. Длиннорукий кальмар из рода Magnapinna относится к самым неуловимым обитателям океана. Первые образцы этих животных были обнаружены на Азорских островах в 1907 году, а первые живые особи – в 1980-х годах в Атлантике и Тихом океане. В 1998 году магнапинны были выделены в отдельный род и семейство, но за всю историю наблюдений моллюск попадался на глаза лишь 20 раз. В прошлом году длинноруких кальмаров впервые увидели у берегов Австралии, а недавно морским биологам удалось снять это животное в акватории Западной Флориды. Магнапинн плыл на глубине около 2380 метров. Все эти наблюдения подтверждают гипотезу о повсеместном распространении этих кальмаров, а также позволяют больше узнать об их анатомии. С учетом того, что они обитают на уровне батипелагиали на глубине от 1000 до 4000 метров – каждая такая встреча очень ценна.
