Власти Латвии вводят запрет охоты на рысей В охотничьем сезоне 2021/22 года Государственная лесная служба Латвии впервые за долгие годы отказалась выдавать разрешения на отстрел рысей. Об этом сообщила пресс-служба организации. Связано это с подготовкой документов о смене статуса рысей — евразийскую рысь (Lynx lynx) планируется признать особо охраняемым видом животных. Правила охоты сейчас относят рысь к видам фауны, чей промысловый отстрел лимитируется, и Лесная служба ежегодно устанавливает число особей, которых охотники могут добыть. Подчеркивается, что решение принято по итогам консультаций с Министерством по охране окружающей среды, Минземледелия и Управлением природоохраны Латвии. В Европе охота на рысь запрещена, этот вид считается охраняемым. В Латвии, по разным оценкам, обитает от 700 до 1 300 рысей, сезон охоты на них в последние годы длился с 1 января по 31 марта, отстреливалось порядка 80 особей в сезон.
