Blaser R93 This is an unconventional design that could only come from Germany. The Blaser’s straight-pull bolt action is a marvel of Teutonic engineering, designed for extremely rapid shooting on driven game. The beauty of this rifle, though, is its versatility. Simply by swapping a few components, the R93 can be chambered for any cartridge ranging from .22 LR to .500 Jeffrey. A small take-down case can house the rifle along with an extra barrel or two, creating an incredibly versatile and convenient package for the international hunter. The R93 was replaced with the newer R8 a few years back, but remains a favorite for many.Post: 27 September 09:16
🏔️ Anybody interested in a free helicopter drop service for a Montana elk adventure this weekend?! We did this last year and I’m excited to offer it again this year!! I’ve had my eye on some landlocked public land that is inaccessible, except by helicopter. I watched Randy Newberg, Hunter do this once, so it got the wheels turning. Regardless, We will leave Bozeman airport at 6:00 AM Saturday and be touched down by 6:30. It’s a quick flight! We’ll then hike to the tallest peak, and be set up to glass at daybreak. Should result in an awesome view if nothing else. Post: 25 October 09:14
Wolf hunting is the practice of hunting wolves. Wolves are mainly hunted for sport, for their skins, to protect livestock and, in some rare cases, to protect humans. Wolves have been actively hunted since 8,000 to 10,000 years ago, when they first began to pose a threat to livestock of Neolithic human communities. Historically, the hunting of wolves was a huge capital- and manpower-intensive operation. The threat wolves posed to both livestock and people was considered significant enough to warrant the conscription of whole villages under threat of punishment, despite the disruption of economic activities and reduced taxes. The hunting of gray wolves, while originally actively endorsed in many countries, has become a controversial issue across the globe. Most people see it as cruel, unnecessary and based on misconceptions, while proponents argue that it is apparently vital for the conservation of game herds and as pest control.Post: 28 June 11:30

Blaser R8 Ultimate Huntec Rifle in .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor Review I recently had the opportunity to put the Blaser R8 Ultimate Huntec rifle to the test, and I’d like to share my thoughts based on my experience with it. Admittedly, I had high expectations given the reputation of the Blaser brand, and I am excited to discuss both the positives and negatives that I encountered. Pros: Modular Design: One of the standout features of the R8 is its modular system. I love that I can easily switch between calibers, specifically .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor, without needing specialized tools. This flexibility is perfect for someone like me who enjoys various types of hunting and shooting scenarios. Precision and Accuracy: Both calibers deliver exceptional precision. The .308 Win is a proven performer, making it ideal for larger game. Meanwhile, the 6.5 Creedmoor is renowned for its flat trajectory and minimal recoil, which made shooting at longer distances a less intimidating task for me. Post: 12 December 10:10

Should endangered wild birds be hunted for sport? It sounds like an odd question to be asking in 2023, in the midst of a biodiversity crisis. Yet, at a time when many avian species in the UK are under threat of regional extinction, government data reveals falconers are permitted to hunt rare songbirds. The data, released this week by government watchdog Natural England, has caused concern among environmentalists. What is falconry and how is it regulated in the UK? Tiger hunting is the capture and killing of tigers. Humans are the tigers' most significant predator, and illegal poaching is a major threat to the tigers. The Bengal tiger is the most common subspecies of tiger, constituting approximately 80% of the entire tiger population in Indian Sub-Continent, and is endemic to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, and India. Tigers have mythological, cultural and religious significance in these countries. Foreign invaders saw hunting of Tigers as a symbol of masculinity and an adventurous sporting event. It has been hunted in these countries for centuries. In 1924, the Tiger population in Asia was estimated to be more than 100,000. However, within less than a hundred years, it had declined to fewer than 3,200. Tiger has historically been a popular big game animal and has been hunted for prestige as well as for taking trophies. Extensive poaching has continued even after such hunting became illegal and legal protection was provided to the tiger. NowPost: 5 July 17:32

Shooting practice Answering the question of where to start hunting for a beginner, it is worth mentioning such an important aspect as shooting training. In this direction, there are many recommendations, various formulas and schemes: how to determine the distance of a shot by the size of an object, how many bodies of a moving bird to measure forward, how to make a takeaway for preemptive and other theory. However, all this knowledge can be safely thrown into the basket if the hunter uses a lot of time for aiming. Remember that no one can instantly calculate the anticipation, taking into account the distance to the object, as well as its size, density and humidity, along with wind gusts.Post: 27 June 19:48

The poacher trespassed onto clearly marked private property and shot in the direction of an occupied residence to take the buck deer. The youth witnessed the incident and appropriately made a report. The 10-year-old was the only witness to the incident. The poacher was located and criminally cited for: ➡️ Hunting on cultivated or enclosed land ➡️ Illegal take/possession of buck deer ➡️ Recklessly endangering another person The youth was nominated for a $1,000 Turn-in-Poachers (TIP) reward through the Oregon Hunter’s Association since the tip led to a citation. #YourOregonStatePolice #FishandWildlifePost: 22 November 09:06

The Australian Deer Association (ADA) is a not-for-profit member-based organisation established in 1969 to advocate for an evidence-based approach to wild deer management and campaign for public land access for recreational deer hunting. Since its beginnings, the ADA has grown to feature an extensive branch network that covers every state and territory in Australia. This network enables the ADA to deliver local hunter education, deer management, and community and member engagement. The ADA partners with government and land managers to advocate and ensure public land access for recreational hunting is not restricted and that an evidence-based approach to wild deer management that is more considered than viewing wild deer as introduced is a reality. "Norway - 'King of the Forest' is Causing a Stir" The moose is called the "king of the forest". There are good reasons for that, it is Norway's largest mammal on land. "I have never seen anything like it, and I have seen many animals throughout my photography career, says photographer Thomas Mørch." He is talking about the spotted elk that walks around Hallingdal. A few years ago Albin the albino moose became such a big celebrity that the hunting teams protected him. A white national treasure, which was felled by a Danish hunter in 2011 who had not caught the "protection". Now the forest has a new moose that stands out. How to extend the life of your weapon Weapons care products include: various ramrods, brushes, flexible snakes, tools for covering wooden parts of guns, gun oils, plugs for barrels, etc. Remember that weapons must be handled very carefully. You always have to suspect that it can fire on its own. Before you start cleaning it, and before you perform any actions with a weapon, make sure that there are no cartridges in the magazine and in the barrel! This rule sounds paradoxical, but nevertheless, only with strict observance of it, the hunter can be calm that he will not cause a catastrophe. It should not be forgotten that careless handling of a gun is dangerous not so much for the owner of the gun himself, but for others.Post: 5 July 09:06
