Remington Model Seven When I worked behind a gun counter, probably I sold more Model Sevens than all of my colleagues combined. The Model Seven is essentially a shortened 700 action that maintains virtually all of its virtues. These little rifles prove that you don’t need a magnum-length barrel to have an effective hunting rifle. Compact, relatively light and portable, these rifles are just the ticket for hunting from tree stands, in timber or in thick brush. Though Model Sevens were chambered in everything from the 17 Remington to the 300 SAUM over the years, examples in .260, 6.5 Creedmoor and 7mm-08 are my personal favorites, particularly for whitetails..Post: 1 October 10:42
Trophy pike in Braslav lakes Pike are usually caught casting. Pike fishing is similar to bass fishing in that you can catch them on lures and by usually casting shorelines, structure and weed beds. It’s an active style of fishing that is anything but boring. Another benefit is that their strikes are ferocious. Pike are not a timid fish. They attack and are fearless. They are aggressive and will follow a lure all the way to the boat and strike right at the boat. Pike fight hard and will take drag from a reel, twist, spin, turn, and battle all the way to the boat.Post: 19 May 12:57

The Guardiani andmetel leidis intsident aset 2022. aasta augustis Overlanderi rajal Jasperi rahvuspargis. Serge Painchaud tõi populaarsele matkarajale kaasa laetud 20-gabariidilise jahipüssi ja laskemoona, viidates oma hirmule võimalike kiskjate ees. See on Kanada seaduste järgi ebaseaduslik.

Can you believe Christmas is just a week away? We all get stuck in a rut sometimes. Last night listening to our insanely talented friend Traci Sepkovic/@tlsepkovic, a guest on the @wildlifeconversationspodcast, she talked about just that. Sometimes we feel unlimited creativity and other times we just hit a wall and no matter how bad we want to be out with camera sometimes it's good just to set it down for a while, recenter and get back at it. Todays frames are some that lend to being way more creative than just always using the "good light". Yes we all love a perfectly subject from the the front or coming at us straight into the lens but the older I get and the more I shoot I would rather shoot into the light looking for the truly special moments. My wife and I love anytime we get with wildlife, even without camera in the harsh light parts of the day just being out together is what it's all about, but when the light hits just right it is truly incredible what this planet can create. 🏆2022 Guide of the Year: TYNE MCCAUGHEY!🤠 All of the award buckles every year are pretty cut and dry and require no thoughts, just a tape measure. However, the Guide of the Year buckle is a whole other story and it gets harder every year. We are so lucky and blessed to have such a solid core of amazing guides that it’s become torturous to pick just one stand out. After many hours of pillow talks, road trip talks, and head scratching, we feel very good choosing our great friend, Tyne McCaughey, for Guide of the Year. Tyne has proven his loyalty from the get-go. His tenacity as a hunter is unquestionable. His hunters all comment that he is like hunting with a buddy. “Tyne ain’t faking shit!”💪 His willingness to do whatever is needed in camp or the field to make the dream work does not go unnoticed. As tough and as old-school as Tyne is, I’ve been told by our younger assistants and trainee guides that Tyne has great patience in helping teach them all aspects of our profession. Horses are like people; there are good, bad, and indifferent among them. Some are kind and generous; others are bad-tempered and better left alone. The best have kind hearts and intelligent minds, along with a full measure of common sense. Add good treatment and training, and you have an admirable ally that can make otherwise impossible adventures doable. Better yet, you’ll have a friend.Post: 26 May 19:42

D I N O S A U R I am still in shock. This hunt was exceptionally meaningful to me and Dinosaur truly is a bull of a lifetime!! We were nearly 26 miles into the backcountry with the pack string. We had spent a lot of time behind the glass learning all of the bulls in the area. The old bull we had nicknamed Dinosaur, was one that stood out for his age, distinct bugle and incredible mass. He was an old warrior. The thought that I would be placing my hands on Dinosaur as my personal bull never crossed my mind. I would have been happy with any legal bull I was given the opportunity on. I was surrounded by some of my favorite people in the entire world and this hunt/bull/opportunity would have never been possible without them. Huge thank you to Josh and Laci Martolgio. As with any hunt, there were a lot of highs and lows. The story is one for the books and too long to share on here. I’ll try to get it written to share with you all at some point. But at the end of it all, this true Post: 9 October 17:26

Arizona Coues Deer Hunting: Laws and Demographics, Legislarion. Secrets to Bagging the Gray Ghost Arizona's Hunting Landscape and Climate Arizona presents a diverse and challenging hunting landscape that spans across 113,998 square miles of varied terrain. The state's hunting grounds are divided into three distinct geographical regions, each offering unique opportunities and challenges. The northern high country, characterized by ponderosa pine forests and elevations reaching up to 12,633 feet at Humphreys Peak, provides excellent habitat for elk and mule deer. The central region, dominated by the Sonoran Desert and its iconic saguaro cacti, offers prime hunting for desert bighorn sheep and javelina. The eastern mountain ranges, including the White Mountains and Mogollon Rim, create ideal conditions for both forest and plains game. In Brest, near the old building of the Pushkin State University, there is an educational and methodological complex called "Winter Garden". The first floor of the Winter Garden is divided into three conditional climatic zones. Crossing the threshold, we find ourselves in the tropics, where beautiful ferns and orchids grow. The calming and enchanting atmosphere has a beneficial effect on the state of mind. In the land of subtropics, ripening lemons and pomegranates surprise. In the desert zone, we paid attention to haworthia, gasteria, agave, milkweed and various cacti. It is immediately obvious that caring for a living particle of nature requires knowledge, responsibility and effort. Only a creative and diligent team that works within the walls of this institution can do this. And most importantly, these people have the desire to convey to us knowledge about nature in the most understandable, simple and beautiful way.Post: 28 October 17:29
