Do cloned pets actually look and act like the original? Cloning may sound like something out of a science fiction movie, but it’s already happening here in the United States. One company has the patented technology to clone cats, dogs and horses, and will do it for you right now – for a price. Viagen charges $35,000 to clone a cat. Cloning a dog will set you back $50,000, and a horse is $85,000. That’s clearly a huge investment. What exactly do you get for your money? First, Viagen needs a skin sample from a pet that’s either still alive, or just recently died. A lot of people turn to the company right after their pet dies, said spokesperson Melain Rodriguez, and it’s possible to do successfully if the death was within a few days ago and the body has been kept refrigerated. Then starts the real science. The sample is shipped to the company’s lab in Texas, where cells from the skin are cultured. It takes a few weeks for those cells to grow and multiply until there are about 1 milli

Each year, dozens of people get lost in the Mountains and become the subjects of search-and-rescue missions. In most cases, people simply wandered off of marked trails and lost their bearings. Losing one's way in the woods can be an unsettling, frightful experience. If you follow the blazes or cairns, you should have no trouble. But, if you should find you've wandered off the path, stop immediately. In many cases, you will find that retracing your footsteps will bring you back to the trail. If not, follow these steps: 1) Pay close attention to your surroundings and landmarks and relate this to your location on a map. 2) Stay calm if you get lost. Panic is your greatest enemy. If you run wildly around, even for a little while you could lose your sense of direction complete. Try to remember how you got to your present location. 3) Trust your map and compass (if you have them) and do not walk aimlessly. Use the compass to give you a sense of direction. Think of which way you came, an

Beretta AL391 Urika 2 (12 Gauge) - A Hunter's review I've owned and hunted with a Beretta AL391 Urika 2 for a good number of years now. It was my go-to semi-auto for everything from waterfowl to upland birds, and even the occasional sporting clays outing. I've put it through its paces in all sorts of conditions – rain, snow, heat, dust – and have a pretty solid understanding of its strengths and weaknesses. The Good Stuff Beretta AL391 Urika 2 12-gauge: Shooting Comfort: This is where the Urika 2 truly shines. The gas-operated system does a fantastic job of soaking up recoil. Even with heavier magnum loads, it's surprisingly manageable, which translates to less fatigue during long days in the field and faster follow-up shots. Compared to inertia-driven guns, it's noticeably softer on the shoulder. Reliability (Mostly): When clean and properly maintained, the Urika 2 is generally reliable. It'll cycle a wide range of loads, from light target rounds to heavier hunting loads, without

Review of the Rößler-Austria TITAN-6 Rifle, Caliber .30-06, Barrel Length 560 mm I recently had the opportunity to test the Rößler-Austria TITAN-6 rifle, chambered in .30-06 with a barrel length of 560 mm. Here are my thoughts on this firearm. Build Quality: The build quality of the TITAN-6 is impressive. The materials used feel durable and well-engineered, and the rifle has a solid heft that instills confidence. The stock is crafted from high-quality wood, providing an aesthetic appeal while also feeling good in hand. Overall, it has a premium feel that is expected from a manufacturer like Rößler. Ergonomics: The ergonomics of the TITAN-6 are quite good. The rifle fits comfortably against the shoulder, and the controls are intuitive and easy to access. The pistol grip is well-shaped, allowing for a secure hold even in challenging shooting conditions. The adjustable comb is a great feature, enabling shooters to customize the fit to their preference, enhancing overall comfort durin
