My beloved pony of 10 years is 25 this year and has been having some physical changes recently: new dx of Cushing's, EMS, IR and laminitis. (We have a specialist vet and farrier on our team.) I have been spending lots of time on the ground with her and going on walks together, and I want to learn something new with her to keep her mind engaged and strengthen our bond. I'm not sure if/when I will be able to ride her again but I want to keep her life enriched as long as she can move around and is not in pain. I'd love some liberty lessons and connections to any resources (clinics, books, online programs, facebook groups, etc) to learn about this type of horsemanship. I am located in Santa Rosa, CA if you know of any trainers in that area. Please message me or comment here incase this post can help any other beginners! Thank you, have a beautiful day 🙂

Hunting Seasons in Canada's PEACE RIVER Region: Opening & Closing Dates, License Requirements and Must-Know Regulations The Peace River district in northern Alberta offers some of Canada's most rewarding hunting experiences, where vast wilderness areas teem with moose, deer, bears and waterfowl. For hunters planning an expedition to this region, understanding the local seasons, regulations and hunting conditions is crucial for both success and compliance with conservation laws. Seasonal Hunting Calendar and Regional Specifics in Peace River region Peace River's hunting seasons follow Alberta's provincial framework but account for northern ecological patterns. The area's long winters and short summers create compressed hunting windows, particularly for big game. Yuri Gagarin hunting, 1966. Yuri Gagarin, the first human to journey into outer space, found solace and excitement in hunting during his time on Earth. Despite his groundbreaking achievements in space exploration, Gagarin cherished the simplicity and challenge of tracking game through Russia's vast wilderness. Hunting offered Gagarin a chance to reconnect with nature and escape the pressures of his high-profile career. He particularly enjoyed bird hunting, often venturing out with friends and fellow cosmonauts to the serene landscapes surrounding his home. With his trusty shotgun in hand, Gagarin approached each hunt with the same focus and precision that defined his historic space missions. Colleagues noted his enthusiasm for the sport, describing how he would meticulously prepare for each outing, studying animal behavior and planning his strategy. Naivis Gen 2+ Night Vision Scope: Honest Hunter's Review Look, I've been hunting for over 20 years. I've seen gear come and go, and I'm not easily impressed by fancy gadgets. I decided to give the Naivis Gen 2+ night vision scope a try, hoping it would give me an edge during those low-light hunts. I paired it with the Naivis 850nm IR illuminator, which I'll touch on later. Here's my honest take: Naivis Gen 2+ The Good: Decent Image Quality (For Gen 2+): Let's be clear, it's not Gen 3 clarity, but for the price point and being a Gen 2+, the image is surprisingly good. It provides a usable image in fairly dark conditions, allowing target identification out to a reasonable distance (about 150-200 yards in my experience). It definitely beats trying to hunt with binos and a prayer. Sturdy Build: The scope feels solid. It's been bumped around in my pack, endured some light rain, and still holds zero. That's crucial when you're out in the bush. Adjustable Brightness: The ability to adjus

Beretta AL391 Urika 2 (12 Gauge) - A Hunter's review I've owned and hunted with a Beretta AL391 Urika 2 for a good number of years now. It was my go-to semi-auto for everything from waterfowl to upland birds, and even the occasional sporting clays outing. I've put it through its paces in all sorts of conditions – rain, snow, heat, dust – and have a pretty solid understanding of its strengths and weaknesses. The Good Stuff Beretta AL391 Urika 2 12-gauge: Shooting Comfort: This is where the Urika 2 truly shines. The gas-operated system does a fantastic job of soaking up recoil. Even with heavier magnum loads, it's surprisingly manageable, which translates to less fatigue during long days in the field and faster follow-up shots. Compared to inertia-driven guns, it's noticeably softer on the shoulder. Reliability (Mostly): When clean and properly maintained, the Urika 2 is generally reliable. It'll cycle a wide range of loads, from light target rounds to heavier hunting loads, without

You’ll also need to bring along the proper hunting gear necessary to keep your dog safe and satisfied in the field. 🇺🇸 Early wake-ups and late evenings is what roebuck hunting is all about. In between, long hours of planning the “best” strategy for that one buck which keeps your hunter and you awake during the short sleeping hours of the night. What will the wind do? Will the females around him spot us and run away scuppering our chances of success? When hunting for such special bucks, usually nothing ever comes as planned over so many times in your mind. Coastal Hunting Grounds of MAHDIA: Hunting Seasons, Laws and Demographics, Geographical Aspects of Tunisia Geographic Context and Natural Terrain in Mahdia Mahdia, located along Tunisia’s eastern Mediterranean coast, offers a flat yet fertile hunting landscape shaped by olive groves, coastal brushlands, and inland agricultural zones. The region's terrain lacks forests or mountains but compensates with wide plains, low scrub, and intermittent wetlands that support migratory bird activity. With a mild Mediterranean climate and moderate rainfall in winter, Mahdia’s rural stretches become seasonally active with game, particularly in the cooler months. The flat topography allows for long-range visibility, influencing hunting styles that favor patience and precision over dense-cover tracking. Hunter Demographics and Local Participation in Tunisia The hunting community in Mahdia is moderately sized but well organized, with most licensed hunters residing in towns such as El Jem, Ksour Esse

Benelli Beccaccia 12 Gauge Shotgun Review I recently had the opportunity to test the Benelli Beccaccia 12 gauge shotgun during a few hunting trips, and I’d like to share my thoughts on this firearm. As a seasoned hunter, I've used a variety of shotguns, and the Beccaccia has some standout features and a few drawbacks. Here’s my detailed review. Pros: Lightweight and Maneuverable: One of the first things I noticed is how lightweight the Beccaccia is. Weighing in at about 6.5 pounds, it is easy to carry around during long hunts. This is especially beneficial during those all-day excursions, where every ounce matters. Exceptional Balance: The shotgun is well-balanced, making it easy to swing on target. This feature significantly increases accuracy, particularly for fast-flying game. I found it particularly effective for hunting in dense brush, where quick shots are necessary. Reliable In Various Conditions: I tested the Beccaccia in both wet and dry conditions, and I was impressed wi

Czech beavers built a dam in 2 days, which the authorities had been coordinating for 7 years. Beavers lead an active lifestyle in the water not only in summer, but also in winter. For this, beavers need reservoirs deep enough so that in winter the water in them does not freeze to the very bottom. But, unfortunately, beavers do not always come across such deep rivers. So beavers have to build dams to raise the water level in order to increase or maintain the depth of the reservoir. The construction and repair of dams requires the efforts of many beavers. In addition, beavers work in shifts, and each “shift” consists of a small group of individuals. CT24 TV channel informs that in Czech city of Brdy beavers built in two days a dam, which took the local administration seven years to coordinate. With their hard work, the animals saved the authorities $ 1.2 million. The project to waterlog part of the territories of the Brdy Landscape Park has been under development since 2018. During
