After my weekend training in Moscow shooting club, I remembered an outstanding meeting. It took place last September at the ADIHEX 2024, Abu Dhabi hunting exhibition. On a photo one of the fastest shooters on the planet, Raniero Testa. He had already set several world records and continues to surprise with new ones. V prvním červencovém týdnu se jeden dospělý samec vyskytoval na polích u obce Ludslavice, nedaleko od Holešova na Kroměřížsku. Drop velký je největším polním ptákem Evropy, který v České republice hnízdil na jihu Moravy až do roku 1996. Od té doby se u nás objevuje velmi vzácně a výjimečně. V prvním červencovém týdnu se jeden dospělý samec vyskytoval na polích u obce Ludslavice, nedaleko od Holešova na Kroměřížsku. Několik dní se zdržoval v polích, kde jej objevil místní zemědělec, který o něm informoval ornitology. Drop velký váží 5 kg (samice) až 16 kg (samec) a rozpětí křídel má 170 až 240 cm. Jeho nejbližší hnízdiště jsou v Rakousku a v Maďarsku. Ojediněle hnízdí i na Slovensku. Mladí samci se občas vydávají na potulky mimo hnízdiště a někteří se velmi výjimečně zatoulají i do střední Evropy. Utah cites hunters for killing wrong animals Every year, multiple hunters are cited for killing the wrong animal in Utah during cow elk season. While many of the incidents end up being more of a case of misidentification than poaching, it is still happening on an annual basis. In fact, several recent investigations conducted by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) found that hunters shot either the wrong sex or wrong species and some are “so excited to see an animal that they make poor shooting decisions,” according to the agency. Here are some recent examples during the 2022-23 antlerless elk hunts, which began in August and runs through Jan. 31: Weber County: A man shot a moose instead of an elk during his hunt. Emery County: A hunter shot a branch-antlered bull elk, thinking it was a spike elk. Then he also shot a spike elk, thinking it was the same elk. He was charged with a misdemeanor. Sevier County: Officers investigated two cases where a hunter shot too many elk.

More than 63 million sockeye had returned to the bay’s different watersheds and fish were still running. Wyoming reduces number of mule deer and antelope tags There will be fewer tags for Wyoming mule deer and antelope this year. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) decided to reduce the number of tags due to disease and drought, according to Wyoming Public Radio. EHD, or blue tongue, has impacted herds and continuing drought means more competition for available forage. Ian Tator, WGFD’s terrestrial habitat manager, says that “elk will out compete mule deer and [antelope] for vegetation.” “We had an outbreak of blue tongue this last summer, which just means there are that many less animals available,” says Tator. “If those animals aren't there to begin with, we're not going to issue licenses for them.” This means that WGFD will cut the number of antelope licenses by 8,000 and mule deer licenses by 3,300 for the 2022 hunting season. Idaho reports "slightly above average" survival rates in mule deer and elk In Idaho, mule deer fawn and elk calf survival rates were up, following the latest data collected from animals outfitted with tracking collars. To date, 84% of fawns and 92% of calves have survived through the end of winter, putting their statewide winter survival rate “slightly above average,” according to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG). “From a statewide perspective, winter survival is tracking very close to what we saw in past two years,” said Toby Boudreau, IDFG deer and elk program coordinator. “If we continue on that trajectory, that's good news because we ended up with above-average winter survival in both 2019-20 and 2020-21. Неизвестный застрелил белого журавля из Окского заповедника О гибели стерха узнали сотрудники благодаря GPS-GSM передатчику. На территории Окского биосферного заповедника давно применяют датчики, которые позволяют определять местоположение птицы в любой момент. Орнитологам важно знать, куда и каким маршрутом птицы следуют и датчики в этом помогают. Накануне один из белых журавлей, отпущенных из заповедника в дикую среду обитания, был застрелен неизвестным.

Изредка встречаются старые быки массой до 1200 кг[5]. Высота в холке у взрослых самцов — до 1,8 м[6], чаще 1,5—1,6 м, при длине тела 3—3,4 м. При этом некоторые подвиды африканского буйвола значительно меньше по размерам. Кроме того, лесные буйволы значительно меньше обитающих в саванне. Популяция буйволов в Африке сохранилась, по сравнению с поголовьем других крупных животных континента, достаточно хорошо, хотя испытывает сильное давление со стороны человека.

🏆2022 Guide of the Year: TYNE MCCAUGHEY!🤠 All of the award buckles every year are pretty cut and dry and require no thoughts, just a tape measure. However, the Guide of the Year buckle is a whole other story and it gets harder every year. We are so lucky and blessed to have such a solid core of amazing guides that it’s become torturous to pick just one stand out. After many hours of pillow talks, road trip talks, and head scratching, we feel very good choosing our great friend, Tyne McCaughey, for Guide of the Year. Tyne has proven his loyalty from the get-go. His tenacity as a hunter is unquestionable. His hunters all comment that he is like hunting with a buddy. “Tyne ain’t faking shit!”💪 His willingness to do whatever is needed in camp or the field to make the dream work does not go unnoticed.
