Double trouble? No: a prize double! Pamir and Bukhara goats in one trip to Tajikistan. 🎯 A good and very realistic goal! 🗓 You need to allocate 12-14 days for hunting in two areas, since travel between areas takes 1.5 days. Hunting for each subspecies in a good season can be short, but it will depend on both 🍀 luck and the 💪physical fitness of the hunter. ‼️ Double ibex can also be offered in 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan - hunting for Dzungarian and Central Asian goats. Horses are used here and not as high as it might be in Tajikistan, but the areas are also 1 day's travel away from each other. Spanish style Sometimes trophy hunters want to unwind on a hunt - without overcoming, overexertion and overload. We recommend you the most exciting hunt for 🐔partridge in Spain. 👏 Everyone will be able to shoot a lot and qualitatively, have fun with friends, relax - thereby getting an emotional charge for a long time! Traditionally in 🇪🇸 Spain, a hunt is carried out by driving. The beaters flush the partridges at some distance from the hunters and direct them to the line of shooters. Every day, 4-5 drives are organized with a break for lunch. On average, it is possible to get 500-800 birds per day. ℹ️ During the day, the hunters change places in the order determined by the drawing. Thus, everyone has the opportunity to try their hand both in the center of the line and on its edges. The hunter is joined at the position by assistants: a "cargador" who reloads the weapon, and a "secretario" who adjusts the direction of the shot and keeps count of the birds killed. There are still

Review of the Pard NV 008 S Day-Night Digital Rifle Scope I recently had the opportunity to try out the Pard NV 008 S digital rifle scope, and I must say, it has left quite an impression on me. In this review, I’ll cover both the positives and the few drawbacks I've encountered while using this versatile scope. Pros: Day and Night Functionality: One of the standout features of the Pard NV 008 S is its ability to function effectively both during the day and at night. The colored image during daylight hours is sharp and clear, while the black-and-white night vision allows for excellent visibility in low-light conditions. Lightweight and Compact Design: Weighing in at just under 1 kilogram, this scope is remarkably lightweight, making it easy to carry around for extended periods without fatigue. Its compact size means it doesn't add excessive bulk to my rifle, which is a significant advantage during long hunting sessions. Video Recording Capabilities: The built-in video recording fea

Hunting in Northern China Today, you can’t legally go hunting in China. A century ago, however, things were different, and you can find testimony on pages of old books. Here we reproduce a few extracts from one such book, “Fur and Feather in Northern China” by Arthur de Carle Sowerby, F.R.G.S., published in 1914. Bats, admittedly, are mentioned only in passing, but we hope you’ll enjoy the stories about wild sheep, wapiti, and antelope. Wild Sheep No one who has not experienced it can form more than the faintest idea of what “the long day’s patience, belly-down on frozen drift” while waiting to get a shot at the “head of heads feeding out of range” means. Day after day the hunter goes out, and climbs the steep and rocky ascents to the sheep range : he crosses wind-swept uplands, white with the driven snow: he scales treacherous precipices, jagged with needles and spurs of crumbling granite : ever with his trusty glasses to his eyes he keeps spying, spying, spying, till one day he se

History of Christmas In ancient pagan times, the last day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere was celebrated as the night that the Great Mother Goddess gives birth to the baby Sun God. It is also called Yule, the day a huge log is added to a bonfire, around which everyone would dance and sing to awaken the sun from its long winter sleep. In Roman times, it became the celebrations honoring Saturnus (the harvest god) and Mithras (the ancient god of light), a form of sun worship that had come to Rome from Syria a century before with the cult of Sol Invictus. It announced that winter is not forever, that life continues, and an invitation to stay in good spirit. The first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere occurs between the 20th and 22nd of December. The Roman celebrated Saturnalia between 17 and 24 December. The early Christians To avoid persecution during the Roman pagan festival, early Christians decked their homes with Saturnalia holly. As Christian numbers increased and t

Set #2 of the FLYING pika! (Please view each image large for details) One of my absolute favorite and most challenging subjects to photograph........the mighty American Pika. These tiny critters the size of a guinea pig, are the speediest and hardest working animals in the alpine zone of the mountains. They are Lagomorphs and closely related to rabbits. They spend most of their days gathering tundra grasses and wildflowers to store in their winter food stashes to be able to survive the cold harsh mountain winters. I spend numerous days and hours each summer up high in the Rocky mountains of Colorado, observing and trying to photograph these little speedsters. Here is the second set of photos. All images captured with a Nikon Z8 and Nikkor 800mm F6.3 lens, some with a 1.4x teleconverter for focal length of 1120mm. Most are captured with a shutter speed of 1/4000 sec, F7.1 or F8, various ISO's up to 20,0000, handheld and cropped.

How often do hunting accidents happen in France? Two people were injured by stray bullets from hunters last week, as head of hunting federation says ‘zero risk’ hunting is not possible. Since 2000, there have been 3,325 hunting accidents in France, of which 421 were fatal, figures from l'Office français de la biodiversité and la Fédération nationale de la chasse show. This is equivalent to 158 accidents per year, with 20 deaths. Since 2000, the number of accidents has gone down 40% and the number of deaths 70%, figures from L’Office français de la biodiversité show. In nine out of 10 of cases, it is hunters themselves who were the victims of accidents, and in 30% of cases, accidents were self-inflicted. Most accidents occurred during big game hunts, such as for wild boar. These figures do not include incidents that have caused injury or death to domestic animals, or instances where bullets have entered homes or cars. There are currently strict rules for hunters, which aim to re

Deer hunting in Russia With a rich and at times tumultuous history stretching back centuries, the land of the tsars is a fascinating land to explore. Russia is a biggest country in the world and covers up to 1/8 of the Earth’s land surface.
