After World War I, they built their first complete motorcycle in 1921. Gun hunting. Moose, hunted on September 17, 1900 by Major General A.A. Brusilov. Major General Aleksei Alekseevich Brusilov was a distinguished Russian military leader whose career spanned the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in 1853, Brusilov rose through the ranks of the Imperial Russian Army, distinguishing himself as a tactical innovator and a compassionate commander. His most notable achievement came during World War I with the Brusilov Offensive in 1916, a meticulously planned campaign that achieved significant territorial gains against the Central Powers. Brusilov's approach to warfare emphasized mobility and surprise, breaking from the traditional trench warfare tactics that had led to stalemates on many fronts. His offensive demonstrated the effectiveness of coordinated artillery barrages and rapid infantry advances, inflicting heavy losses on Austro-Hungarian forces and providing a much-needed morale boost for the Russian army.

Louisiana sets first hunting season for iconic 'Teddy' bear in 2024 as population swells Louisiana approved the first hunting season for the black bear next year after the state's large carnivore expert assured wildlife regulators the once threatened population has grown enough to sustain a limited harvest. The Louisiana Wildlife Commission voted unanimously Thursday to establish the season for the iconic "Teddy" bear in December 2024 in which 10 adult bears can be killed. Commissioners voted to issue the 10 permits through a lottery. Hunting next year will be limited to the northeastern Louisiana Mississippi Delta parishes East Carroll, Madison, Tensas and West Carroll and portions of Catahoula, Franklin and Richland. "We can certainly have a conservative harvest in limited areas," John Hanks, manager of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries large carnivore program, told commissioners during the October meeting.

Trophy hunting: why a UK import ban threatens wildlife conservation Trophy hunting, where animals with characteristics such as large antlers are legally hunted, and their meat usually eaten - is highly contested. While some argue it is unethical and delivers few benefits, others say it provides an important incentive for conserving threatened species and habitats by helping generate revenue for governments and local communities. Restrictions on trophy hunting imports have been imposed in the US, Europe and Australia, while the UK recently announced that it would “ban imports from thousands of species … as part of a wider UK drive on international conservation”. As a professor of wildlife conservation with over 25 years’ field experience, I strongly believe that trophy hunting import bans are driven more by misinformation than the weight of scientific evidence, and risk increasing threats to wildlife and undermining local rights and livelihoods. My colleague Hans Bauer recently argue

The drivers of such widespread non-compliance are poorly understood and evidence to support future policy decisions is generally lacking. In this paper, we seek to stimulate a critical debate on how to deal with hunting in Brazil by analysing the main factors driving non-compliance with current legislation. 🦌 Game Fair France 2025 - A Hunter’s Perspective 🇫🇷 Just got back from the Game Fair 2025 in Lamotte-Beuvron, France - and let me tell you, it was an absolute paradise for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts alike. The atmosphere? Electric. The gear? Next-level. The people? Some of the most passionate and knowledgeable folks I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. From handcrafted rifles to beautifully tuned duck calls, every booth had something worth stopping for. I was especially impressed by the innovations in sustainable hunting gear - lighter packs, high-performance camouflage, and some top-notch optics. The live demos and shooting ranges were a great chance to put the latest equipment to the test right on the spot. One of the highlights was connecting with other hunters from across Europe and beyond. We swapped stories, shared techniques, and built friendships around a fire and a good old-fashioned wild game grill-up. Can’t beat that. For anyone in the hunting world, Game Fair Franc

Baboons VS Leopard Kruger National Park visitors witnessed an incredible incident that occurred near a popular picnic spot in the park. In South Africa, a large family of baboons attacked a leopard that decided to grab one of them as prey. The video shows the predator (leopard) walking along the road and then abruptly running up to the unsuspecting baboons. However, one of them, the largest, rushes in response to help his relatives. Due to their numerical advantage and lightning-fast response, the baboons managed to drive away the predatory leopard. Among the "audience" were newlyweds Merv Mersinligil and Victor Shontag, who told the press about what they saw. Merv remembers: "I jokingly told my husband: "Maybe we should warn the baboons about the leopard we just saw. And he laughed." But a moment later, the leopard was ready to spring! The baboon is widespread in Central and Eastern Africa. It lives in steppe and mountainous areas. It feeds on plant (fruits, bulbs, etc.) and anima
