Спасаясь от опасности и быстро удирая по воде, они усиленно хлопают неоперенными крыльями, за что и получили у охотников название хлопунов или хлопунцов. К двухмесячному возрасту кряковые утята совместно со старкой начинают совершать перелеты. У кряквы много врагов. Ее гнезда разоряют лисицы и енотовидные собаки, вороны и болотные луни, а в первые дни по выходе из гнезда утята страдают и от щук. Было проведено зарыбление трех водоемов в Гродненской и Могилевской областях. В целях повышения рекреационной значимости и продуктивности рыболовных угодий учреждением «Гродненская ООС» РГОО «БООР» в Августовский канал выпущены разновозрастные особи щуки общим весом 680 кг в количестве 0,57 тыс. экземпляров и двухлетние особи толстолобика – общий вес - 288 кг, количество - 0,36 тыс. экземпляров. Водоем также пополнился личинкой щуки в количестве 50 тыс. экземпляров. Одновременно карьер Михневичи (Сморгонский р-н., Гродненская обл.) зарыблен двухлетними особями толстолобика общим весом 600 кг в количестве 0,6 тыс. экземпляров. New Mexico bans scopes on muzzleloaders Earlier this month, the New Mexico State Game Commission voted to ban the use of scopes on all muzzleloaders beginning the 2023 hunting season. The new ruling specified that muzzleloader hunters are not allowed to use scopes on their muzzleloaders during a hunt, but that scopes are still legal for muzzleloaders during Any Legal Weapon hunts only. Stewart Liley, head biologist for the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, stated in the meeting with the commission that technology improvements have made muzzleloaders nearly as effective as centerfire rifles. Liley went on to note, “what we’re seeing biologically is that the harvest is going to be unsustainable,”.
