Hunting in TATAOUINE: know more about Hunter Demographics and Participation, Geography and Ecological Features (PART II) Hunting Seasons and Optimal Times in the Area The hunting season in Tataouine is generally aligned with the national hunting calendar, with small game hunting taking place from October to February. Hunting in Tataouine during the summer months is difficult due to the extreme heat, which can make both hunting and tracking challenging. The dry conditions also make it harder to find w

Cambodia Wildlife Travelers to Cambodia may find that although Cambodia is not primarily a wildlife viewing destination, some isolated pockets of forest may offer some of the best opportunities for wildlife spotting in all of SE Asia. Cambodia’s wildlife diversity is at critically low levels due to deforestation and habitat destruction. It is home to about 16 globally endangered species and 2 critically endangered species. Some larger mammal species found here are dholes, elephants, deer, panthers, bears, tigers, cormorants, cranes, crocodile, and wild water buffalo. Many organizations are working together to try and protect Cambodia’s remaining wildlife diversity. Wildlife is mostly isolated to pockets where intact habitat still remains, including the dry forest along the Lower Mekong, the Elephant Mountains, and the Cardamom Mountains. For wildlife enthusiasts traveling to Cambodia for a short time, one of the most iconic places to spot wildlife in Cambodia is in the

MFWP used existing bear plans and conservation strategies, the federal recovery plan and work conducted by the Grizzly Bear Advisory Council to draft it. SUMMER PREP EQUALS A BETTER FALL DEER SEASON Don't wait until the season starts. It’s hard to think about frosty mornings at hunting camp this time of the year. The outside temperature for many of us is still hovering around the triple-digit mark, and the air is so thick you could probably squeeze water out of it if you made a fist. But now is exactly when you need to be putting in the work for the upcoming season. UPGRADE YOUR GEAR Think back to last season. Did a fogged scope cost you a big buck? Did your treestand squeak when you tried to get into position for a shot? Did you leave a hunt early or skip going out altogether because of inclement weather? Now is the time to remedy all those problems. Available stock on sporting goods always seems to be in short supply just before season. Don’t wait until the gear you need is sold out before you start shopping. Purchasing early also allows you to get familiar with your new equipment, particularly firearms and optics. Not having to

Why We Hunt - An Ancient Activity Hunting is an ancient human activity. As such it means experiencing an original way of life in unspoiled nature. Hunting can be the purest form of eco-tourism. And yes, of course we enjoy hunting. Of course we enjoy the thrill of a stalk. Yes, of course we enjoy the adrenalin rush when facing a wild un-collared lion. There is nothing wrong with that, these are inherent components of our own nature. City people seem to have forgotten that man can and should be part of nature. And above all, the laws of hunter and hunted are the very foundation on which nature rests. If we still want nature – and that is the principle decision mankind has to take – we have to understand and accept it as it is; and true, honest hunting is the very school of life.... But we don’t enjoy killing. We have to kill to have hunted. And when at times we have to kill, we try to do so clean and quick and painless. At the same time death is part of life – it is not always easy

D I N O S A U R I am still in shock. This hunt was exceptionally meaningful to me and Dinosaur truly is a bull of a lifetime!! We were nearly 26 miles into the backcountry with the pack string. We had spent a lot of time behind the glass learning all of the bulls in the area. The old bull we had nicknamed Dinosaur, was one that stood out for his age, distinct bugle and incredible mass. He was an old warrior. The thought that I would be placing my hands on Dinosaur as my personal bull never crossed my mind. I would have been happy with any legal bull I was given the opportunity on. I was surrounded by some of my favorite people in the entire world and this hunt/bull/opportunity would have never been possible without them. Huge thank you to Josh and Laci Martolgio. As with any hunt, there were a lot of highs and lows. The story is one for the books and too long to share on here. I’ll try to get it written to share with you all at some point. But at the end of it all, this true

We are waiting for the opening of ot
