In Kazakhstan, you can hunt ibex in different places. To combine hunting with maral and roe deer, we choose the Dzungarian Alatau region. All this at the beginning of the season. For those looking only for ibex or ibex with exceptional trophy qualities, we recommend the region on the border with 🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan - Granitogorsk - and hunting in a colder period - October-December. ⛰ The mountains simply go into the sky and only perseverance and a reliable team of guides help. We had a whole day's trek. From dawn to dusk, including an ascent of 4000 m. Almost the entire way on foot. But depending on the weather and other conditions, horses are also used. Minus 5.5 thousand calories per day, 25-28 km of travel. And the inclusion of the final 💪 moral and volitional on the descent. The ibex is bagged, happy with the trophy, but most of all ➡️ proud and pleased with himself! Such overcomings are remembered for a lifetime. For Larry, it was truly the hunt of a lifetime! ❗️ The area is bein

Skylarks, starlings and mistle thrushes: Endangered songbirds licensed to be killed for sport in UK Skylarks, starlings and mistle thrushes are among the red-listed species approved to be hunted by falconers. Should endangered wild birds be hunted for sport? It sounds like an odd question to be asking in 2023, in the midst of a biodiversity crisis. Yet, at a time when many avian species in the UK are under threat of regional extinction, government data reveals falconers are permitted to hunt rare songbirds. The data, released this week by government watchdog Natural England, has caused concern among environmentalists. What is falconry and how is it regulated in the UK? Falconry involves hunting wild animals in their natural habitat using a trained bird of prey. There are reportedly around 25,000 falconers in the UK. The sport itself dates back hundreds of years, and it has seen a resurgence in recent times. While it remains legal throughout Britain, many outside the hobby are u

Judge Issues Injunction Blocking Wisconsin Fall Wolf Hunt A judge on Friday (10/22/2021) halted Wisconsin's fall wolf season two weeks before hunters were set to take to the woods, siding with wildlife advocacy groups who argued holding the hunt would be unconstitutional. Dane County Circuit Judge Jacob Frost issued a temporary injunction halting the season, which was set to begin November 6. The order comes as part of a lawsuit that a coalition of wildlife advocacy groups filed in August seeking to stop the hunt and invalidate a state law authorizing annual seasons. Among other things, the coalition argued that the season is illegal because the (Wisconsin) Department of Natural Resources hasn't updated its regulations setting season parameters, and has been relying on an emergency rule put in place shortly after then-Gov. Scott Walker signed a law in 2012 authorizing annual seasons and a wolf-management plan that hasn't been updated since 2007. Frost said the law creating the wolf

Benelli Vinci 12x76 Barrel 71 - Black Review I recently purchased the Benelli Vinci in 12×76 with a 71 cm barrel, and after several outings, I feel ready to share my thoughts. Benelli Pros: Lightweight and Ergonomic Design: One of the standout features of the Vinci is its overall weight. The shotgun feels incredibly light, which makes it easy to handle, especially during long shooting sessions. The ergonomic design fits comfortably in hand, providing a secure grip. Recoil Management: The Vinci is equipped with an innovative recoil management system that significantly reduces felt recoil. This makes for a much more pleasant shooting experience, especially for those who might be sensitive to kickback, like novice shooters or individuals recovering from injuries. Versatile Performance: This shotgun excels in a variety of shooting scenarios, from clay shooting to hunting waterfowl. Its ability to adapt to different situations gives it significant versatility, which I appreciate as a

A new luxury trip has been added to our tour range 🥳 THE SARDINE RACE IN DURBAN is one of the most exciting natural phenomena in the world. 🗓 Every year from May to July, a real underwater show unfolds off the coast of South Africa - the Sardine Run, or Sardine Race. ℹ️ The Sardine Run is not just a fish migration. It is a real ocean spectacle, which in terms of scale and spectacle is compared to the Great Antelope Migration in the Serengeti. MILLIONS of sardines move from south to north, caught by the waters of the cold Benguela Current and the warm Mozambique Current. 📈 Sardines make their way over 1000 km long, forming a school more than 15 km long, 1.5 km wide and up to 40 m deep. Dolphins, sharks, seabirds, whales and even seals hunt for sardines. The so-called "bait balls" look especially impressive - 🟠 dense balls of sardines that form when they are surrounded by predators. This is a rare opportunity to see how wildlife works in its pristine harmony and cruel beauty. 🔭

Just stumbled upon some old photos in my archive and couldn't help but reminisce about my first hunting experience. It was a mix of excitement, nerves, and anticipation all rolled into one. The early morning start, the scent of the woods, the thrill of the chase – it was a feeling like no other. As I look back on those moments captured in those snapshots, I can't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to connect with nature in such a raw and primal way. The camaraderie with fellow hunters, the quiet moments of solitude, the satisfaction of a successful hunt – it's all part of the experience. Hunting isn't just about the kill; it's about the journey, the memories made, and the lessons learned along the way. Macrozamia bush flavour for Australian aborigine hunters. Macrozamia are palm-shaped, dioecious plants with a usually unbranched trunk with several or many leaves. The leaves of the macrozamia are pinnate, pubescent, at least when young. Young macrozamia plants can differ significantly from adults in leaf details. The seeds of the macrozamia are almost spherical to oblong or elliptical in shape, with a red or, less often, yellow, orange or brown fleshy outer sarcotesta. Most parts of the macrozamia are toxic. Various species are the cause of livestock poisoning. The seeds of the macrozamia are poisonous, but the aborigines know how to handle them to remove the poison, and thus take advantage of the large amount of food provided by a single plant. Macrozamia seed cones form after some fire. Male and female seed cones form on separate plants, and large female seeds mature when they turn red or yellow. Seeds of macrozamia are a good source of starch, but when eaten without processing

I shot this button buck Saturday night while sitting at the base of a giant oak tree. Three does came out of the cedars earlier that evening, but they were about 155 yards away and moving at a pretty good clip. Then this young deer came out, and when he finally moved out from behind a couple trees in front of me, he stopped quartering toward me and gave me a shot at about 75 yards. I don’t prefer to hunt with a muzzleloader, but the December season seems to be about the only time I get the opportunity to hunt deer. The shot rang and after a moment of blindness, the smoke cleared. I saw the deer bolt about 50 yards to my right. I thought I’d missed him, but as he approached a couple lone cedar trees in the open, he made a sharp, confused U-turn, and then crashed down into the dry creek bed to the north. I almost expected him to get up and continue running over the hill, or slip away down the dry bed. Trembling, I reloaded my gun. If he was there, I needed to give him time to die with

Pennsylvania Will Finally Allow Limited Sunday Deer Hunting. Pennsylvania deer hunters have reason to celebrate after lawmakers have done away with a “blue law,” which prohibited hunting on Sundays in the Keystone State for more than 100 years. Gov. Tom Wolf is expected to sign the law, which will allow hunters to hunt one Sunday during rifle season, one Sunday during archery season, and one Sunday to be determined by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The law also requires hunters to have written permission to hunt private land on Sunday (oral permission is fine on the other six days of the week.) Of course, it’s still up to private landowners to decide whether to allow hunting on their property. Sunday deer hunting has been illegal in Pennsylvania since the 1800s, although there are exceptions for coyotes, foxes, crows and non-commercial game preserves. Blue laws date back to a time when lawmakers thought it was appropriate to encourage people to attend church on Sunday instead of

Searching the right haystacks is the best way to find needles. Pursuers of whitetails, this continent’s favorite and most widespread big game animal, take to the woods each fall for a variety of reasons. Many deer hunters simply enjoy communing with nature. Some are more driven to collect venison for the freezer. For others, the quest is all about antlers, and the bigger the better. Size really does matter to the 10 million-plus hunters smitten with white-tailed deer, whether it’s the driving force behind their passion or simply a bonus. Success depends on luck, skill and, most important, location. For the second time since Buckmasters launched its own Full-Credit (antler) Scoring System back in 1993, the nation’s largest deer hunting organization has tapped into its massive database to show exactly where hunters are felling this country’s best white-tailed bucks. By examining hundreds of recent entries into “Buckmasters Whitetail Trophy Records,” we’ve put together a Top 10 list s

France revises hunting rules but stops short of Sunday ban France's government on Monday announced tighter rules against hunting under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and protection for walkers and local residents, but stopped short of a hoped-for Sunday ban. Although a weekend "no hunting day" is popular with the public, President Emmanuel Macron is wary of alienating rural voters and adding to anti-government resentment as he launches a major pension reform. Instead, junior environment minister Berangere Couillard said hunting under the influence would be banned, training and safety rules for hunters strengthened and digital systems developed to warn other countryside users away from active hunting zones. Punishments will also be upgraded, including hunters losing their licences if they are involved in a serious accident. "My goal is to aim for zero accidents," Couillard said on a Monday trip to the Loiret department south of Paris. "We want to see better safety, seven days

Utah launches first wildlife law enforcement drone team It’s a bird, it’s a plane – nope, it’s a drone. And it’s part of Utah’s new conservation officer drone team aimed at keeping tabs on the hard-to-reach areas of the state. To date, there are five investigators located across the state who have completed the necessary Federal Aviation Administration licensing and training requirements for Unmanned Aerial Systems, according to a press release. “Using drones will help us more effectively solve wildlife crimes, and having trained law enforcement drone pilots will also allow us to assist other law enforcement agencies with search-and-rescue efforts or any other investigations,” said Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) Captain Wade Hovinga. “Utah conservation officers are public servants, and these new tools will help us better serve the public, whether we’re solving poaching crimes or locating lost hunters.” UDWR compares the drone specialty designation to the K-9 conservation

How to Stalk a Black Bear It was a lazy October day, remarkable only in that I was outside and away from my desk with the forest an utter cornucopia of hunting possibilities. I was bowhunting tassel-eared squirrels with my good friends Dave Faiello and Pat Keith in New Mexico’s northern Gila National Forest. Essentially, it was an excuse to sit around campfires in the evenings with good company while also hunting something during daylight hours. And while western squirrel hunting doesn’t approach the allure of more glamorous big-game, it’s always an action-packed, enjoyable endeavor and nothing to get snooty about. It was nearly lunchtime, and I was just a couple bushytails away from a limit. I was slipping along a ridgeline with a recurve bow holding a quiver full of small-game heads, looking for the telltale flicker of a puffy tail in the pines or a bouncing rodent atop the acorn-laden understory. In the back of my mind, there was also the long shot of something else. That somethin
