Český název „lovec“ se objevuje již v 11. století. Panovníka obklopovala početná lovecká družina, pro jejich pobyt na loveckých výpravách se v rozsáhlých lesích stavěly lovecké hrádky např. Křivoklát (zmiňovaný již v roce 1109), Jivno, Zbečno, Jenčov, Týřov, Počáply-Králův dvůr, Nový Hrad u Kunratic (1411-1412). Lovecký personál je usídlován v tzv. účelových obcích (Loveč, Lovčice, Psáry, Ohaře, Sokolníky aj.), kde žije družinným životem. Lovecké roboty poddaných jsou známy již ve 12. století. V usnesení Českého sněmu z roku 1573 se uvádí, že právo lovu souvisí s vlastnictvím pozemků (panovník, šlechta, kláštery, královská města). Usnesení však obsahuje i nařízení o ochraně zvěře, což znamená počátek myslivosti u nás. I řada dalších usnesení Českého sněmu se zabývá chovatelskými hledisky. Po Bílé hoře (1620) je česká šlechta potlačována, přicházejí cizí rody. Lov se stává záležitostí společenské reprezentace. Od 16. století se rozvíjejí palné zbraně, koncem 17. století se objevují lovecké ručnice. Císař Ferdinand III. (1637-1657) vydává roku 1641 ustanovení o lovu pro Čechy, ve kterém se uvádí, že myslivost je kratochvílí šlechtickou“, poddaní jsou při lovech povinni robotami. Znamená to utužení robotných povinností poddaných, znamená to však také rozmach pytláctví (ze msty, pro obživu, z lovecké vášně). Vydávají se různé patenty proti pytláctví, např. císaře Karla VI. (1711-1740) z roku 1732. Vzdělávání potřebného personálu (myslivců) se děje zpravidla tříletou výuční dobou u zkušeného myslivce (učebního pána), zakončené slavnostním „přijetím v počet myslivců“ a předáním výučního listu, tesáku a lovecké trubky. Císař Josef II. (1780-1790) vydává v roce 1781 patent o zrušení nevolnictví a v roce 1786 řád o myslivosti neboli všeobecný honební patent, který uvolňuje poddaným v robotách, upravuje ochranu polních plodin, ukládá hradit škody působené lovem a zvěří, nařizuje černou zvěř uzavřít do obor, atd. Vzhledem k nedostatku bezplatné pracovní síly nastává odklon od chovů velké zvěře a zintenzivnění chovů drobné zvěře; s tím souvisí i rozvoj brokové střelby. Snižují se stavy jelení zvěře a přibývá zvěře srnčí. Začátkem 19. století nastává největší rozvoj bažantnictví, importují se nové druhy ba-žantů, muflon a jelenec viržinský, koncem století jeleni sika, rozšiřuje se chov kamzíků. S rozvojem brokové střelby se proslavuje české puškařství. Myslivost se podřizuje lesnímu hospodářství. V roce 1905 je vysazena na Dobříšsku ondatra. V revolučním roce 1848 bylo zrušeno poddanství. Císař František Josef I. (1848-1916) vydává v Olomouci dne 7. března 1849 říšský zákon o myslivosti č. 154; bylo zrušeno dominikální výsadní lovecké právo a právo myslivosti bylo spojeno s vlastnictvím půdy. Odborným spolkem, který sdružoval jak lesníky či myslivce z povolání tak i myslivce ze záliby byla v roce 1869 založená „Pražská lesnická jednota Hubertus“. V roce 1883 vznikl „Spolek honební a ochrany zvěře. Po vzniku Československa v roce 1918 byl v roce 1919 ustaven „Československý lo-vecký a kynologický říšský svaz“. V roce 1923 je založena jednotná myslivecká organizace – Československá myslivecká jednota. Po osvobození v roce 1945 vychází zákon o myslivosti č. 225/1947 Sb. (s platností od 1.1.1948). Pro celé území republiky je právo myslivosti sjednoceno. Zákon prosazuje ne-jen aspekt hospodářský, ale i kulturní. Právo myslivosti je nadále vázáno na vlastnictví ho-nebního pozemku. V důsledku politických událostí z roku 1948 byly od roku 1951 vyloučeni z pronájmu honiteb jednotlivci, uzavírat nájemní smlouvy mohly jenom tzv. lidové myslivecké společnosti. V roce 1962 byl vydán – pro celé území tehdejší republiky – nový zákon o myslivosti č. 23/1962 Sb., který odloučil výkon práva myslivosti od vlastnictví honebních pozemků. Právo myslivosti příslušelo organizacím – státním lesům, státním statkům, jednotným zemědělským družstvům -, které ho mohly či musely za úplatu postoupit uživatelům, a sice pouze mysliveckým sdružením. Nejmenší výměna honitby byla stanovena na 500 ha. Odborným spolkem, který sdružoval jak lesníky či myslivce z povolání tak i myslivce ze záliby byla v roce 1869 založená „Pražská lesnická jednota Hubertus“. V roce 1883 vznikl „Spolek honební a ochrany zvěře. Po vzniku Československa v roce 1918 byl v roce 1919 ustaven „Československý lovecký a kynologický říšský svaz“. Mezinárodní spolupráce v myslivosti byla již za první republiky. ČSR patřila k zakládajícím členům Mezinárodní lovecké rady – C.I.C., která byla založena v roce 1928 a oficiálně zahájila svou činnost v roce 1930. V roce 1961 se ČSMJ sloučila se slovenským Sväzom poĺovných ochranných združení, název centrální organizace byl změněn na Československý myslivecký svaz (ČSMS). V důsledku federalizace státu v roce 1969 byla ukončena činnost ČSMS a ustaven Český myslivecký svaz (ČMS). V roce 1970 byl ustaven Federální výbor mysliveckých svazů v ČSSR (FV MS), jako společný koordinační a poradní orgán Českého mysliveckého svazu a slovenského poĺovnického zväzu. Podle nového zákona o myslivosti č. 270/92 Sb. se ČMS stal organizací s členstvím myslivců zcela dobrovolným a byl zbaven spoluúčasti na řízení myslivosti. Myslivecká sdružení se podle zákona o sdružování občanů č. 83/1990 Sb. stala samostatnými právnímu subjekty. V roce 1992 byl název Český myslivecký svaz změněn na Českomoravská myslivecká jednota (ČMMJ). Předsedou byl zvolen Prof.ing. Josef Hromas,Csc. Česká republika je členem Mezinárodní rady pro myslivost a ochranu zvěře CIC. Zastoupením ČR je pověřena ČMMJ. Od roku 1995 je ČMMJ také členem Federace mysliveckých organizací Evropské unie – F.A.C.E. V roce 2012 byla myslivost zapsána jako nehmotná kulturní památka na Seznam nemateriálních statků tradiční a lidové kultury České republiky. Od roku 2016 je české sokolnictví zapsáno organizací UNESCO na seznamu Mistrovských děl ústního a nehmotného dědictví lidstva.

František Ferdinand d´Este jako vášnivý lovec Zámek Konopiště založil nedaleko svého rodového sídla Benešova kolem r. 1294 pravděpodobně pražský biskup Tobiáš z Benešova a to podle vzoru francouzských pevností, s válcovými věžemi, s parkánem, 4 bránami a padacím mostem Současnou podobu však zámek dostal až na přelomu 19. a 20. století, kdy zámek i s celým panstvím od Lobkoviců koupil František Ferdinand d´Este, od r. 1896 následník císařského trůnu, který byl vášnivý lovec. V rámci prohlídky, proto můžete vidět, mimo jiné sbírku jeho zbraní, loveckých trofejí i jeho soukromé pokoje. František Ferdinand d´Este ulovil za svůj život téměř 300 000 (uvádí se 274 889) kusů zvěře. Na zámku je asi 1,5 % těchto trofejí, tj. 4055 trofejí - z toho v lovecké chodbě na 1. prohlídkové trase je umístěno 860 trofejí a ve vitrině 3500 jeleních zubů – kelců; v parůžkovém salonu na 3. okruhu je 1122 srnčích parůžků a v přilehlé věžičce je umístěno 154 kamzičích růžků, dále na jedné z chodeb ve 3. patře jsou trofeje s různými anomáliemi (např. srnci parukáři). Většina trofejí je opatřena štítkem s datem a místem lovu, František Ferdinand je sám vlastnoručně instaloval. K druhové skladbě loveckých trofejí: jsou zde vycpaniny medvědů, 4 tygři indičtí, 4 levharti, zubři, dále buvolí rohy, nosorožčí kly, sloní oháňky a kuriózní předměty ze sloních tlap (popelník, odpadkový koš) parohy jelení, srnčí, daňčí, 2 hlavy losa, mufloní toulce, hlavy antilop a gazel z Indie, hlavy kance a velké množství kančích zbraní dále jsou zde vycpaniny a hlavy lišek, hlavičky vydry, jezevce, kuny lesní, tchoře, zajíce a velké množství tetřevích a tetřívčích tatrčí různé druhy vycpaných ptáků: z dravců – orli, supi, káně, poštolky, luňák, krahujec; drop, husa velká, kachny, kormoráni, ibis, kolpík, krocan, koroptev, bažant, datel, ledňáček, sovy a další druhy dnes už chráněných druhů ptactva

To ni isto kot ubijanje merjasca z vijačnim rezalnikom - tu ni posebnega razloga za ponos. In to se ne naredi samo zaradi prehranjevanja - meso lahko kupite v katerem koli supermarketu. To je pravi pogum, ekstrem in vznemirjenje. Tako zasledovalec kot igra sta enakovredna. Coues Deer The big deal for hunting Coues deer is to pursue them in the rough region where they thrive. These slight gray whitetail bucks rarely grow more than 130 in of antler, however, they are adept at disappearing into the cover. They use cactus vegetation and a scant thorn in the desert to stay hidden. Another challenging part about hunting this deer is they don’t offer large targets and also don’t give much time to the hunter for a shot. But a good Coues deer is an amazing trophy simply because of the fact that there is no easy way in getting one. Plus, its meat is excellent. Wilderness Elk Almost every hunter wants to hunt elk in that wilderness. However, most of them very soon realize that getting that trophy is not at all simple. Going for hunting this animal means long hours of glassing in the harsh weather, long rides in-and-out of camp, and coming back to spartan accommodations each night. Hunting these hardest deer requires doing deep treks into rugged and remote regions. But if you are one of those who are okay with leg-burning hikes in the remote and rugged regions, then these hardest deer are just what you are after.

I love log cabins and it’s surrounding peaceful nature. Six yrs ago when we’re house hunting, there was this house with an indoor layout designed like a log cabin. It was amazingly homey and comfy, but couldn’t afford of course. I’ve never been in a log cabin in the woods or up in the mountains. They look so cool, relaxing, peaceful and a perfect place to relax and retire, but my fear of wild animals weigh more than my log cabin love. Don’t want to open the door greeted by a grizzly bear or a wolf!

8 Great New Hunting Rifles for 2022 Though I absolutely love those rifles which have been with me for decades, and have shared so many indelible memories, I still get excited to see the new crop of rifles introduced each year, and always ponder the possibilities of creating new memories with a new model. A hunting rifle can become a life-long friend, but like any friend, there’s the first time you meet, and like so many friendships, sometimes things don’t work out. Whether it’s a long-range bolt gun for sheep, elk and antelope, or a thumper of a lever gun destined to pursue bear in the spring vegetation, or an all-around deer gun, the possibilities are endless. Let’s take a gander at what’s new for 2022 for the American hunter.1. Marlin 1895 SBL and Trapper Rescued from the dustbin by Ruger, Marlin was purchased in the breakup of the Freedom Group, and they are coming back with a vengeance. The first of the new Marlin rifles to come off the line was the Model 1895 SBL, with its large lever loop, 19-inch barrel, stainless steel metal and Marlin Horse and Rider logo engraved on the bottom of the grip, and chambered in .45-70 Government. Reviews were shining, from both reviewers and customers alike. Marlin has now followed up with a Trapper version of that rifle (pictured), with a 16.10-inch barrel and the excellent Skinner Sights front blade and rear peep installed at the factory. If you like a .45-70 lever gun, look long and hard at the new pair from Marlin. MSRP: $1,349-$1,399; marlinfirearms.com.2. Nosler Model 21 Nosler’s team of rifle designers has whipped up a winner with the Model 21. Designed first and foremost as a hunting rifle, this synthetic-stocked little gem can deliver the goods in the deer woods, the antelope prairie or the sheep mountains. Using a dual-lug spiral bolt, TriggerTech trigger and Shilen match barrel, the Model 21 is a wonderfully accurate rifle.3. Winchester Model 1895 High Grade Teddy Roosevelt’s “Big Medicine” is back, and it’s even available in his pet .405 Winchester. When it comes to a lever-gun, most associate the design with a tubular magazine; this is not the case with the ’95. John Browning designed a lever gun which felt familiar, yet could easily handle the rimless, higher-pressure cartridges like the .30-40 Krag and .30-06 Springfield (both available in the current ’95).4. Savage 110 Magpul Hunter Here we have a classic hunting rifle action, housed in a modern stock which might be best described as feeling better than it looks. The Savage 110 barreled action is wonderfully accurate—the floating bolt head, barrel nut and hand-straightened barrel make a great combination—and the Magpul stock lends itself to both hunting scenarios as well as at the target range.5. Remington Model 700 I can’t comment too awful much on this one, other than to assure you that the rebirth of the world-famous Model 700 is imminent, and the folks producing it describe the rifle as having “all the features you’d ever want in a Model 700.” Seeing as how the new company kept the operation in Ilion, New York, and retained the majority of former employees, I am excited to experience the latest rifle in the series from America’s Oldest Gunmaker, which dates back to 1816. MSRP: $519-$839; remarms.com.6. Browning X-Bolt Western Hunter LR There is no denying that the Browning X-Bolt has cemented its place in American rifle history. With its 60-degree bolt throw, two-position tang safety (you can safely unlock the bolt in the safe position by depressing a small button atop the bolt handle) and adjustable comb, the X-Bolt Western Hunter LR is set up for those longer shots on elk, mule deer, sheep, caribou and similar game. With barrel lengths of 24 and 26 inches—depending on the chambering—the X-Bolt Western Hunter LR is jam-packed with all sorts of features from a muzzle brake to textured grip panels to a well-designed detachable magazine, replete with a synthetic stock in a modern camo finish. I own an early model in 6.8 Western, and the entire package is absolutely lights-out accurate, and wonderful to use in the field. MSRP: $1,199.99-$1,299.99; browning.com.7. CZ 600 When it was announced that CZ would be discontinuing their famous Model 550 rifle—a controlled-round-feed design that many hunters have come to love—shooters were eager to see what would replace it. The company introduced its CZ 600 series late last year, being a push feed design with plunger ejector, which would be more economical to produce. With innovative features like a magazine lock—which converts the detachable magazine to fixed – a tang safety, and the choice of walnut or synthetic stock, and aluminum or steel receiver, the CZ 600 has, thus far, seemed to please. It has shown to be an accurate rifle, and the hunting models surely aren’t hard on the eyes. However, just as a word of warning, CZ has recently issued a recall on all models, due to a mechanical issue, so if you’ve already purchased one, check back with CZ to get the issue resolved. Henry Big Boy Deluxe Engraved 4th Edition A lever gun chambered for a beefy pistol cartridge has a certain allure, and for those of us who do out hunting at closer ranges—such as those situations presented by the Northeast woods—they check almost all the boxes. Henry Rifles, with the motto “Made in America, or Not Made at All” is offering a limited edition of 1,000 rifles in their engraved Big Boy Rifle.

You can fish on crystal clear lakes, in the middle of the wilderness, or in the middle of the night when the sun never falls. The fish are huge and the rivers are wonderful. Stay in the middle of nowhere, or you can stay in the city and drive out to the lakes every day. There are so many choices to choose from and you will have an experience you will never forget. Let’s look at some of the most magical places in the country you should think about visiting. Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau This area is a fantastic place to fish and it’s actually one of the best places to catch trout in Europe. It also happens to have Europe’s largest stock of reindeer, so no doubt you will bump into some on your adventures. There are some cabins you can stay in if you decide not to brave the cold, but you can literally throw your tent down anywhere and start fishing straight away. Hemsedal If you want to learn from some of the best fly fishers in the country you can come here to be taught. When you pick up a common fishing license you will have access to a massive 4 rivers and 18 lakes. There is no way you will have time to dig into them on the same trip. The rivers and lakes are crystal clear, plus one of the rivers is another of the best places in Europe for brown trout. The Glomma River This is the longest river in the country and it measures a whopping 600 kilometers. Norway obviously has a lot of great freshwater rivers full of fish, but this one is definitely the best. If you’re looking for a place to book a trip or stop to go fishing you should definitely drop in at Ostfold, Hedmark, or Villmarksriket. 3 places that you can be guaranteed to catch something special. Gjovic, Land and Toten Here you will find two of the largest lakes in Norway, plus a huge selection of other lakes and ponds. Each one will be full of lovely perch, pike, and trout. The best thing about this location is the fact it’s only an hour’s drive away from Oslo, so you can stay in the capital and drive out to the lakes every day. It’s prefect for people who don’t enjoy living rough on their summer vacation. Finnmark and Trondelag These two locations are not close to each other on the map, but they each hold one of the best salmon rivers in Norway. The Tana River and the Guana River will definitely not leave you disappointed and if you’re lucky you will spend your holiday fishing salmon out of the river weighing a massive 20kg. You probably don’t even lift that much when you go to the gym. Finnmarkvidda Mountain Plateau Every Norwegian fisherman dreams of the day they will come back to fish here in summer because it’s so good. Because it’s so far north the day lasts for 24hrs, so darkness ceases to exist. You’ll be having so much fun there is a chance you will forget to go to sleep. The area is known for having lots of fish including grayling, pike, trout, and common whitefish. No ordinary experience I don’t know how experienced you are, but I’m sure you will love Norway no matter how great a fisherman you happen to be. It’s also an amazing country with lovely summers, so don’t think you’re going to come on holiday to freeze to death. It’s definitely one of those places you want to tick of your list of places to fish.

Velké finále soutěže Rarita roku 2023 Letošní ročník soutěž Rarita roku o nejzajímavější srnčí trofej pomalu spěje k závěru. V říjnu proběhlo poslední ze šesti základních kol, díky němuž se uzavřel celkový počet trofejí, které svedou boj o prvenství ve Velkém finále. Stejně jako v minulých letech vybere vítěznou trofej celé soutěže porota. Svou raritní trofej roku však budou volit i čtenáři. Porota bude stejně jako v základních kolech ve finále přidělovat trofejím body (0–10), přičemž absolutní vítězkou se stane trofej s nejvyšším bodovým součtem. V případě bodové shody rozhoduje o pořadí počet bodů získaných v základním kole. Lovec vítězné trofeje získá pozorovací dalekohled Kahles Helia S 10×42, který do soutěže věnovala firma Swarovski Optik. Pro lovce trofeje na 2. místě je připravena povolenka k lovu daňka II. věkové třídy v některé z režijních honiteb Vojenských lesů a statků ČR, s. p. In zahvaljujoč temu vonju pes zavoha divjad - zavoha vse vrste rac, pobrežnikov, kljunačev, prepelic, divjih prašičev, srn, losov in celo volkov, lisic in medvedov. V první polovině loňského listopadu proběhlo Velké finále soutěže Rarita roku 2023. Porota a čtenáři vybírali z deseti finalistek postoupivších do závěrečného klání o absolutní vítězku XVII. ročníku populární soutěže, do něhož bylo přihlášeno celkem 99 trofejí (78 z Česka a 21 ze Slovenska). Vítězná trofej XVII. ročníku Porotci hodnotili trofeje, které postoupily do finále, stejným způsobem jako v základních kolech, tedy jedním až deseti body. Celkem 67 bodů zajistilo celkové vítězství trofeji srnce, jehož ulovil Jakub Brůna v honitbě Mysliveckého spolku Hubert Kotovice (okres Plzeň-jih). Lovec obdrží hlavní cenu v podobě pozorovacího dalekohledu Kahles Helia S 10×42 od firmy Kahles GmbH. Výhra mu bude slavnostně předána v prosinci v Kostelci nad Černými lesy. Druhé místo obsadila se 63 body trofej srnce uloveného Františkem Kubačkou v honitbě MS Maginhrad Velké Teriakovce (okres Rimavská Sobota, Slovensko). Cenou za toto umístění je lov daňka II. věkové třídy v honitbě Ralsko, která je režijní honitbou Vojenských lesů a statků České republiky, s. p. Na třetím místě skončila trofej srnce z honitby MS Kluky (okres Kutná Hora), jehož ulovil Martin Louda. Získala 61 bodů a její lovec převezme na slavnostním předání cen fotopast Watcher 01, kterou do soutěže věnovala firma REJ SERVIS, s. r. o., z Věžek u Kroměříže. O bod menší skóre měla trofej srnce uloveného Janem Jarolímkem v honitbě Honebního společenstva Tismice (okres Kolín). Lovci bude dodáno samonásypné krmítko Srnec PROFI od firmy ProLov, výroba mysliveckých zařízení, Žirovnice. Páté místo patří trofeji srnce, kterého ulovil Václav Prokop v honitbě Chýně (okres Praha-západ). Porota udělila této trofeji 52 bodů. Stejný zisk zaznamenala trofej Jakuba Berana, takže ke slovu musel přijít „rozstřel“. V takové situaci rozhoduje počet bodů získaných v základním kole a ten měla vyšší trofej Václava Prokopa. Lovci bude zaslán lovecký nůž od tradičního českého výrobce – firmy Mikov z Mikulášovic.
