You can read a ton about this impressive expedition camper in my reveal story: TruckHouse BCR: Carbon Camper on AEV RAM, Rolling on 40s. But, the following is the most recent updated info and the new details on the interior. Right up front, I want to give you the answers to the most asked questions about this overland camper build. This is the very latest info on the TruckHouse Carbon BCR. Price range: $475,000-600,000 (includes cost of truck) Deposit: $50,000 and a signed purchasing agreement Current wait time: 12 months Curb weight: 11,700 lbs. single cab; 12,500 lbs. double cab (GVWR is 14,000 lbs.) TruckHouse BCR Interior As you enter the TruckHouse Carbon BCR through its central side door, you’re greeted with a bright space full of clean white and ash wood surfaces. With an oversized skylight, cabover windows, and three massive windows at the rear of the camper, there is plentiful natural light. A full host of LED lighting keeps things lit when the sun goes down. The interior is made of vacuum-infused composite materials, which keep the weight way down, maximizes volume, and is super durable. There is plenty of storage with large overhead cabinets, hanging closet space, and even a pull-out pantry. Just across the camper from the entry door is a wet bath. It has a shower, vent/fan, and toilet. It can be equipped with a cassette, dry-flush, or composting toilet options. Just to the left of the entry door as you walk in is a full galley kitchen. It has a dual-burner induction cooktop, stainless steel sink, convection oven/microwave, and a stainless steel 5.1-cubic-foot refrigerator/freezer. In the back of the camper is a U-shaped dinette, which also converts to a full-size dinette bed. It is surrounded by three massive dual-pane glass windows with integrated shades and bug screens. This allows you to take in the views of the spectacular places you can access with this expedition camper. To the right of the entry door is a passthrough to the cab and a cabover king-size bed. This area has more windows, again letting you take in the world around you from the comfort of the camper. BCR Systems There is a massive 48V lithium battery system in the TruckHouse Carbon BCT. It can run the onboard air conditioner for 50 hours, which is pretty impressive. Equally impressive is that with just 1 hour of drive time in the truck, the battery bank can be fully recharged. An onboard 1,400W solar array keeps the batteries topped off when you’re stationary. The electronics and battery systems are controlled through a 10-inch Garmin display or through an associated smartphone app. Of course, there are switches throughout the camper to manually control all the systems and lights as well. Not only is there onboard A/C, but there is also central heating, heated floors, and an insta-hot water system. No matter the weather outside, the inside of the TruckHouse Carbon BCR is going to be a comfortable place to be. (source: https://gearjunkie.com/camper-rv/truckhouse-carbon-bcr-interior-revealed)

Hunting in the North of Burkina Faso: Sahelian game pursuit, discreet Fulani and Mossi tracking techniques, spiritual codes of restraint, and low-impact desert hunting Scorched plains, windblown trails, and sparse savannah The Nord Region of Burkina Faso lies deep within the Sahel — a band of semi-arid land stretching from the Atlantic to the Red Sea. Here, the climate is harsh: long dry seasons, short erratic rains, and a landscape marked by thorn scrub, fading grass, and scattered acacia trees. Once roamed by large herds and migratory flocks, the region is now shaped by fragility — ecological and social alike. Despite this, hunting endures, not as a sport or luxury, but as a way of surviving and remembering. In the northern provinces of Yatenga, Zondoma, Loroum, and Passoré, hunting is austere, precise, and guided by ancestral instinct. Mossi and Fulani hunting knowledge: austere, adaptive, enduring Among the Mossi farmers and Fulani herders who populate the Nord, hunting has lon

Gold caviar for Russian Tsar. Pike caviar, once a rare and exclusive delicacy reserved for Russian Tsars, is steeped in history and intrigue. In the past, catching pike under the ice was an arduous and challenging task without modern equipment, making its caviar all the more precious. The skill and effort required to harvest this elusive fish during winter meant that only the most experienced fishermen could procure it, and even then, yields were limited. As a result, pike caviar became a symbol of luxury and privilege, gracing the tables of royalty and high society. Its unique flavor—mild yet distinct, with a hint of sweetness and crunch—made it a favorite among Russian nobility. Served on crisp bread or paired with rich creams, it was considered a true gourmet experience. Today, while easier to obtain, pike caviar still carries echoes of its regal past, offering a taste of history with every bite. It remains a testament to the resourcefulness of traditional fishing practices and con

Trinidad and Tobago There is a very active tradition of hunting small to medium-sized wild game in Trinidad and Tobago. Hunting is carried out with firearms, slingshots and cage traps, and sometimes aided by the use of hounds. The illegal use of trap guns and snare nets also occurs. With approximately 12,000 to 13,000 hunters applying for and being granted hunting permits in recent years, there is some concern that the practice might not be sustainable. In addition there are at present no bag limits and the open season is comparatively very long (5 months – October to February inclusive). As such hunting pressure from legal hunters is very high. Added to that, there is a thriving and very lucrative black market for poached wild game (sold and enthusiastically purchased as expensive luxury delicacies) and the numbers of commercial poachers in operation is unknown but presumed to be fairly high. As a result, the populations of the five major mammalian game species (red-rumped agouti, low

A new luxury trip has been added to our tour range 🥳 THE SARDINE RACE IN DURBAN is one of the most exciting natural phenomena in the world. 🗓 Every year from May to July, a real underwater show unfolds off the coast of South Africa - the Sardine Run, or Sardine Race. ℹ️ The Sardine Run is not just a fish migration. It is a real ocean spectacle, which in terms of scale and spectacle is compared to the Great Antelope Migration in the Serengeti. MILLIONS of sardines move from south to north, caught by the waters of the cold Benguela Current and the warm Mozambique Current. 📈 Sardines make their way over 1000 km long, forming a school more than 15 km long, 1.5 km wide and up to 40 m deep. Dolphins, sharks, seabirds, whales and even seals hunt for sardines. The so-called "bait balls" look especially impressive - 🟠 dense balls of sardines that form when they are surrounded by predators. This is a rare opportunity to see how wildlife works in its pristine harmony and cruel beauty. 🔭

When is the right time to restrict your aging hunting dog from the field? With shaking hands and nervous anticipation, I slipped the GPS collar around Winchester’s neck and felt the subtle trembling always present prior to launch. For a moment, I considered leaving the collar in the truck, knowing my big running partner wouldn’t be running strong enough for me to fear him going over the edge of nowhere, one of the defining characteristics of our 12-year relationship. He sat quietly, except for the gentle thumping of his tail on the seat, while I assembled the Winchester 101, 12-gauge, I had also considered leaving in the truck. But, Winchester knew that the gun and the collar meant a hunt, and their absence meant the outing was only a walk. The March morning had dawned clear and cold, suggesting the snow cover in the mountains would present a crust that would support Winchester’s weight. Opportunities for the perfect conditions that once were a luxury had become a necessity for Winc
