BOONE AND CROCKETT CLUB The BooneandCrockettClub is an organization of hunters and conservationists. It was founded in 1887 by Theodore Roosevelt. The Club's merit lies not only in the invention of the basic formula of “fairchase” for hunting ethics, but also in the foundation of the system of nature protection in the United States, which is now known as the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. Today, the club is best known for creating a data collection system that evaluates and tracks North America's major endemic species as a measure of conservation success.
