Děčínský zámek a myslivost Zámek patří mezi nejstarší památkové objekty v ČR. První nepřímá zmínka pochází již z konce 10. století. Jeho historie se tedy odvíjí více než 1000 let. Současná podoba zámku vypínajícího se nad středem moderního města je dílem hraběcího rodu Thun-Hohenstein, který držel děčínské panství v letech 1628 až 1932. Thunové pocházeli z jižních Tyrol a postupně se vypracovali mezi přední šlechtické rody habsburské monarchie. Příslušníci rodu pravidelně zastávali důležité politické i církevní úřady.
