Ballerina Maya Plisetskaya fishing on the banks of the Moskva River, 1956. Maya Plisetskaya, one of the greatest ballerinas of the 20th century, danced her part in Swan Lake more than 800 times, appearing on stage in this role for 30 years — from 1947 to 1977. In the late 1970s, she headed the Ballet of the Roman Opera and the Spanish ballet company Teatro Lirico Nacional. She has worked with the most prominent choreographers in the world, dancing on all the best ballet stages without exception. For many famous artists, Plisetskaya was a muse. Her grace and beauty inspired Chagall, Petit, Bejar, Cardin. Journalists often pestered her with the question of how she manages to keep her figure for many years. She answered: "No dieting, you need to eat less." Or she'd tell a favorite joke for a change. Future ballerinas and girly girls flock to her, chirping, asking for an autograph. One, bolder, asks the question: "Tell me, how do you manage to stay in this shape?" Plisetskaya teaches:

New initiative targets Colorado mountain lion hunting What will the future of Colorado mountain lion hunting look like? A new petition filed with the Colorado Supreme Court is asking for a proposed ballot to be blocked that would request voters to approve a “statewide ban on hunting mountain lions, bobcats and Canada lynx.” Opponents say that the measure is “misleading” and multiple mistakes were made by the Colorado Secretary of State’s Title Board prior to getting the measure approved for the November 2024 ballot, according to The Colorado Sun. However, last week, a second initiative, Initiative 101, was filed that requests a limit (not ban) to hunting mountain lions, bobcats and lynx in an effort to curb trophy hunting. If approved, this limit would require “every carcass – excluding usable meat – to be turned over” to prevent “mounting, displaying or preserving wildcats as ‘souvenirs of their hunts.’” Initiative 101 does allow a two-week mountain lion and bobcat season at the en

A new luxury trip has been added to our tour range 🥳 THE SARDINE RACE IN DURBAN is one of the most exciting natural phenomena in the world. 🗓 Every year from May to July, a real underwater show unfolds off the coast of South Africa - the Sardine Run, or Sardine Race. ℹ️ The Sardine Run is not just a fish migration. It is a real ocean spectacle, which in terms of scale and spectacle is compared to the Great Antelope Migration in the Serengeti. MILLIONS of sardines move from south to north, caught by the waters of the cold Benguela Current and the warm Mozambique Current. 📈 Sardines make their way over 1000 km long, forming a school more than 15 km long, 1.5 km wide and up to 40 m deep. Dolphins, sharks, seabirds, whales and even seals hunt for sardines. The so-called "bait balls" look especially impressive - 🟠 dense balls of sardines that form when they are surrounded by predators. This is a rare opportunity to see how wildlife works in its pristine harmony and cruel beauty. 🔭

EUROPEAN HUNT The European Hunt is the perfect fit for those looking for a unique and challenging pheasant hunting experience. It also provides an alternative for those not able to field hunt. The course is set near the top of small hill in the midst of a pasture. The hunt is comprised of 16 shooters positioned at eight blinds. The blinds are ~60 yards apart and encircle a concealed tower from which pheasants are released. There are two shooters at each blind, safely separated by hay bales. Cub Creek Hunting guides and guide dogs are positioned behind the blinds, ready to retrieve each harvested bird. Large evergreens dominate the landscape, making each shot unpredictable and unique. Hunters rotate through each station twice, ensuring an abundance of shooting from all directions. A beverage break during the middle of the hunt allows hunters to trade stories and prepare for the final round. A hearty meal is served at noon prior to the hunt. Enjoy desserts and beverages afterwards whi

Hunting Ammo: What to Look for in a Big-Game Bullet Hunting bullets have come a long way since the first round lead ball was launched game-ward from a long-barreled muzzleloader. Bullets now are long and streamlined, tipped with space-age material, and constructed of copper married to lead through special bonding processes. They are incredibly accurate, highly aerodynamic, and boast superb terminal performance. They are the finest killing projectiles the world has ever known; that’s a great thing for us as hunters. How to Can Deer Meat Tools and Ingredients: Pressure canner Quart jars, rings, and lids Venison Garlic Non-iodized salt Black pepper Directions: Trim up meat so that the majority of fat and tendons are removed. Cube the meat into pieces that are about the size of a golf ball. “Cold pack” the raw meat into the quart jar, leaving about 1 inch of headspace. Use a spoon to tightly pack in the meat. Don’t add any liquid, as the meat will create natural juices during the canning process. Put 1 teaspoon of non-iodized salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, and two cloves of garlic on top of the meat. Adding a few slices of green pepper or onion is optional, and note that a little bit of flavor while canning will go a long way. Place on lid and screw on ring. Put your jars in the canner. Follow the directions that are specific to your pressure canner, which will suggest something like adding three quarts of water, and canning for 90 minutes at 15 pounds of pressure. It’s important that you know you
