Myotts COUNTRY LIFE Hand Engraved Dinnerware Set (1982) I recently came across an exquisite dinnerware set from Myotts® that caught my attention - particularly for its nostalgic charm and attention to detail. This set, dating back to 1982, is part of the COUNTRY LIFE collection, and it's evident that a lot of care went into its design and craftsmanship. First and foremost, the hand-engraved English scenes on each piece add a unique character that sets it apart from mass-produced dinnerware. The illustrations depict the culture and traditions of English hunting, hunting in England on horseback, the love of English hounds, the strength of passionate hunters, perfectly capturing the essence of real English country life and the traditions of hunters. Each piece feels like a little work of art, making every meal feel special. The colors are declared as "permanent," and I must say that after using this set for several occasions, they have held up remarkably well. There’s no fading or wea

Review of the J.&W. Tolley 12 Gauge Side-by-Side Hammergun (75 cm Barrels) As an avid hunter with years of experience, I recently had the opportunity to take my vintage J.&W. Tolley 12-gauge side-by-side hammergun on a hunting trip for wild boar and geese. This gun, which is over 100 years old, is a true piece of history, and using it in the field was both a privilege and a challenge. Here’s my detailed review, including the pros and cons of this classic firearm. Pros: Craftsmanship and Aesthetics: The J.&W. Tolley hammergun is a masterpiece of English gunmaking. The walnut stock is beautifully figured, and the engraving on the action and hammers is exquisite. Carrying this gun feels like holding a piece of art. The 75 cm barrels are perfectly balanced, giving the gun a classic, elegant look. Reliability: Despite its age, this gun performed admirably in the field. The side-by-side configuration and external hammers (true "курковка") are simple and reliable. I used modern 12

Prehistoric women hunted as often as men and were better suited for it, scientists say Researchers say there was no indication that ‘strict sexual division of labour existed Prehistoric women frequently engaged in hunting as much as men and their anatomy also made them better suited for it, suggests a new review of studies. For decades, historians and anthropologists have held the popular view that prehistoric men were hunters while women from these times played their roles in groups as gatherers. Training hunting dog puppies is an essential step in cultivating their natural instincts and preparing them for a successful future in the field. The key to effective training lies in starting early, as puppies are most receptive to learning during their first few months of life. Begin with basic obedience commands such as "sit," "stay," and "come," which lay the foundation for more advanced skills. Incorporating play into training is crucial, as puppies learn best when they are engaged and having fun. Use interactive games that mimic hunting scenarios, such as fetch or hide and seek, to encourage their instinctual behaviors. Gradually introduce them to scents and tracking exercises, allowing them to explore their extraordinary olfactory capabilities. Socialization is another fundamental aspect of training hunting puppies. Expose them to various environments, people, and other animals to build their confidence and adaptability. UNIJOS employs local hunters, vigilantes, to secure campus, hostels Worried by the security situation in its campus and hostels, the management of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), has revealed that it has engaged the services of local hunters and vigilantes to help secure the students on campus and their hostels. This was made known on Tuesday by the outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Sebastian Maimako, during the valedictory session to mark the end of his five-year tenure. “It is no longer news that the security situation in the country is quite tenuous,” Prof. Maimako said. Continuing, he said: “This is why under my administration, we made frantic efforts to ensure that all lives and property within the university are adequately protected. “When we got a security report that we were the soft target, we closed our hostels for almost two weeks and suspended lectures eventually. My beloved pony of 10 years is 25 this year and has been having some physical changes recently: new dx of Cushing's, EMS, IR and laminitis. (We have a specialist vet and farrier on our team.) I have been spending lots of time on the ground with her and going on walks together, and I want to learn something new with her to keep her mind engaged and strengthen our bond. I'm not sure if/when I will be able to ride her again but I want to keep her life enriched as long as she can move around and is not in pain. I'd love some liberty lessons and connections to any resources (clinics, books, online programs, facebook groups, etc) to learn about this type of horsemanship. I am located in Santa Rosa, CA if you know of any trainers in that area. Please message me or comment here incase this post can help any other beginners! Thank you, have a beautiful day 🙂

Hunting Grounds in BEN AROUS: Communities and Demographics, Laws and Legislation of Ben Arous Topography and Ecological Setting in Tunisia, Ben Arous Region Ben Arous, a small but densely populated governorate just south of Tunis, is primarily known for its industrial zones and suburban sprawl. However, the region also features transitional ecological areas that include cultivated lands, olive groves, and fragmented forest patches near Hammam Lif and Borj Cédria. The landscape is flat to mildly undulating, and while not a primary hunting destination in Tunisia, it supports certain types of seasonal hunting thanks to its residual green zones and agricultural buffers. The Mediterranean climate in Ben Arous allows for moderate biodiversity, particularly among birds and small mammals, whose presence is amplified in the outskirts away from urban pressure. Local Hunting Community and Participation in the Region The hunter population in Ben Arous is smaller than in more rural governorates

Henry X Models: The Wait is Finally Over The Henry X Models Have Arrived The concept for the Henry X Model series began at the 2018 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Dallas, Texas where a blacked-out .45-70 rifle and .410 bore shotgun were put on display to gauge everyone’s reaction to this departure from Henry’s usual blued-steel or brass receivers and American walnut furniture. Suffice it to say that the response among showgoers was positive, but little did they know that Henry Repeating Arms had more up their sleeves. With the release of Henry’s first rifle to feature a side loading gate looming in production behind closed doors, the vision for the production version of the Henry X Model became clearer. In January of 2020, Henry Repeating Arms announced the X Model Series to the world in Las Vegas at the SHOT Show. With no booth on the show floor, Henry dropped the news with a Lever Action X Model .45-70 at Federal Premium’s booth alongside a new line of ammunition called HammerDo

Field Tracking in GABÈS: Hunting Legislation, Laws, Demographics and Hunting Seasons in Tunisia Terrain Profile and Ecological Scope of Gabès Region Gabès lies in southeastern Tunisia where arid steppes, low mountain ridges, and desert fringes converge, creating a challenging and distinct hunting environment. The region transitions from coastal Mediterranean zones near the Gulf of Gabès into drier, rocky terrain as one moves inland toward Matmata and El Hamma. Vegetation is sparse and largely limited to drought-resistant shrubs, scattered acacias, and semi-arid scrubland, making the landscape highly open with minimal cover for wildlife. However, this very openness favors specific types of game and offers clear sightlines, particularly for those hunting small terrestrial species and birds adapted to desert conditions. Hunter Base and Regional Involvement of Tunisia The hunting community in Gabès is modest but active, especially in the interior delegations where traditional practices
