J.P. How to keep your pet summer fit. A veterinarian who sits at Pet Mall and Murphy Veterinary Hospital in GD Block and Pooches N More in Lake Town, shares tips on pet care. 1. Walks- Keep the temperature in mind when walking your pets. Given how hot it has been getting, it is advised to walk them early in the morning or late in the evening. This will help prevent heat strokes and footpad burning. If they undergo excessive panting it is better to keep them indoors. Keep them in air-conditioned rooms as per the requirement of the day. 2. Drinking water- Ample clean drinking water should be provided to your pet to avoid dehydration. 3. Ticks and fleas- Ectoparasites, especially ticks and fleas, are a big threat in summer months. Ticks belonging to the genus Rhipicephalusare are most commonly encountered here. Ehrlichiacanis, Hepatozooncanis, Mycoplasma hemocanis, Anaplasmaplatys, Babesiavogeli and Babesiagibsoniare the most common tick-borne pathogens present in our country. Concurrent iPost: 13 May 20:17

One of my favorite (and there are many) parts of our trips to South Africa is going to different places, hunting incredible animals, meeting and spending time with new friends, and seeing really cool things. Last year was no exception when we went for a very memorable hunt for a Blue Springbok, culling some Blesbok, getting to hold the oldest gun I’ve ever seen in this toradar from the 17th or 18th century, drinking some fantastic brandy with our host, and doing it all with my beautiful wife Ale’ on our honeymoon. Another great memory from last year with Shaun Keeny Safari's. — in Gauteng.Post: 8 May 09:09

Another shot of the fox I photographed yesterday while driving on Farmer's Loop here in Fairbanks. If you look closely, you can see it's frosty breath around it's muzzle. It's in the exact same spot as the other shot with the exception of the head position. I thought it was a crossfox, but I've had one person say may be a silverfox, and another friend say a melanistic red fox, which is a broad term to mean a red fox with a non standard coloration. I've seen a few non-standard foxes in the East Fairbanks area that I suspect are related, this one included. All within about a six mile radius of each other. This is an area large enough that they are not the same individual, but may be family members.Post: 17 October 17:47
Hunting Frontiers of KASSERINE: Demographics and Hunting Culture in the Region, Laws and Legislation of Tunisia Ecological Layout and Landscape Character in Kasserine Region Kasserine, located in western Tunisia along the Algerian border, is marked by rugged mountain ranges, expansive high plateaus, and dense pine forests that contrast sharply with the flatlands of central Tunisia. The region is anchored by the Chaambi Mountain—Tunisia’s highest peak—and surrounded by woodland habitats, steep slopes, and semi-arid plains. The temperate continental climate, with cold winters and dry, hot summers, also affects animal behavior, driving game to lower elevations and shaded ravines during key hunting months. Hunting in Brazil: What are the options? Abstract In Brazil most forms of hunting and keeping of wild animals are illegal, although they remain widely practiced and are deeply culturally embedded in many regions. The drivers of such widespread non-compliance are poorly understood and evidence to support future policy decisions is generally lacking. In this paper, we seek to stimulate a critical debate on how to deal with hunting in Brazil by analysing the main factors driving non-compliance with current legislation. This is particularly timely given that several amendments to existing legislation are currently under consideration. Our analysis suggests that, while there are no simple solutions to non-compliance, a targeted suite of the following policy options could improve the monitoring, sustainability and conservation consequences of hunting in Brazil: (i) simplifying the process to become a registered subsistence hunter; (ii) expanding participation in licensing schemes; (iii) invPost: 15 May 22:13
How Does Benelli’s Inertia-Driven System Work? A Hunter’s Deep Dive into Legendary Reliability If you’ve ever shouldered a Benelli shotgun in the field, you’ve likely felt the difference. It’s not just the balance or the Italian craftsmanship - it’s the Inertia-Driven® system, the heart of Benelli’s semi-automatic legacy. As a lifelong hunter and firearms enthusiast, I’ve trusted this system in rain, snow, dust, and heat. Let me break down how it works, why it matters, and what makes it stand apart from gas-operated shotguns. ⚙️ The Core Principle: Recoil, Not Gas Unlike gas-operated shotguns that siphon off combustion gases to cycle the action, Benelli’s Inertia-Driven system uses pure recoil energy. When you fire a shell, the entire shotgun moves backward—except for the bolt body, which momentarily resists due to inertia. This delay compresses a spring between the bolt head and bolt body. Once the spring reaches full compression, it expands, driving the bolt rearward to eject the Post: 29 June 18:41

Searching the right haystacks is the best way to find needles. Pursuers of whitetails, this continent’s favorite and most widespread big game animal, take to the woods each fall for a variety of reasons. Many deer hunters simply enjoy communing with nature. Some are more driven to collect venison for the freezer. For others, the quest is all about antlers, and the bigger the better. Size really does matter to the 10 million-plus hunters smitten with white-tailed deer, whether it’s the driving force behind their passion or simply a bonus. Success depends on luck, skill and, most important, location. For the second time since Buckmasters launched its own Full-Credit (antler) Scoring System back in 1993, the nation’s largest deer hunting organization has tapped into its massive database to show exactly where hunters are felling this country’s best white-tailed bucks. Spanish style Sometimes trophy hunters want to unwind on a hunt - without overcoming, overexertion and overload. We recommend you the most exciting hunt for 🐔partridge in Spain. 👏 Everyone will be able to shoot a lot and qualitatively, have fun with friends, relax - thereby getting an emotional charge for a long time! Traditionally in 🇪🇸 Spain, a hunt is carried out by driving. The beaters flush the partridges at some distance from the hunters and direct them to the line of shooters. Every day, 4-5 drives are organized with a break for lunch. On average, it is possible to get 500-800 birds per day. ℹ️ During the day, the hunters change places in the order determined by the drawing. Thus, everyone has the opportunity to try their hand both in the center of the line and on its edges. The hunter is joined at the position by assistants: a "cargador" who reloads the weapon, and a "secretario" who adjusts the direction of the shot and keeps count of the birds killed. Oklahoma. Corty & I hit the lake last Friday. We tried a couple of drifts and a few anchors with the boat to no avail. We setup camp on a sandy island right off the main channel ledge. We knew something would come through there overnight. We were able to put baits as deep as 50 feet deep from the bank. The night was slow, until I caught 2 PB Stripers on cut shad! The first is not pictured about 8lbs then 2 hours later a bigger one at 13lbs around midnight. I was excited! I arose around 7 a.m. to see Cortys rod had been pulled forward in the sand. I said, "hey buddy I think you have a fish on!" He got up and landed his NEW PB 57LB Blue Catfish!! She was released healthy. It was a joy to see the hours of fruitless fishing pay off. We caught 3 other dink blues. Post: 6 February 17:49
By Frank Gentile, Hopewell, N.Y. It was October 2011, and I was back in my Chevy Tahoe on my way to another hunt. This time, instead of my son, I was traveling with my hunting buddies. My buddies and I had been on plenty of trips together before but never to Texas! Between the four of us and gear for six (two of our team opted to fly from New York to San Antonio), every single spare inch of space in the truck had been utilized. With each of us taking turns driving, we made it to Texas in about 20 hours. We got dinner and hotel rooms in Texarkana, and were back on the road early the next morning. With a day to spare before we were due at our hunting camp in Hondo, Texas, we headed south with plans to enjoy the city of San Antonio along the way. In San Antonio, we explored the Alamo, the River Walk and the Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum. What a great city! Our first order of business after arriving at the camp the next morning was to make sure that our rifles were on target. Post: 22 November 14:38
