After my weekend training in Moscow shooting club, I remembered an outstanding meeting. It took place last September at the ADIHEX 2024, Abu Dhabi hunting exhibition. On a photo one of the fastest shooters on the planet, Raniero Testa. He had already set several world records and continues to surprise with new ones. Only after trying yourself in some kind of sport or art, you can really understand how difficult it is. What kind of effort and dedication does it take to become the best in what you do. I have great respect for all real professionals regardless of the type of activity. Raniero Testa (Italy) holds the record by throwing 17 sports clay targets with his hands and smashing them with 17 shots. And that's not all: the clay targets were hit in a record time of 2.08 seconds. If you count it, it turns out that the combined Raniero/Winchester SX4 produced a rate of fire of 490 rounds per minute – higher than the rate of fire of the M3 “Grease Gun" submachine gun!! A New Jersey bow hunter established a new state record on Tuesday morning by harvesting a 770-pound black bear in Morris County. Brian Melvin shared with NJ Advance Media that he first spotted the enormous bear approximately three years ago and had been tracking it during the last two hunting seasons. He successfully shot the bear from around 45 yards away at approximately 7 a.m. in Kinnelon. “It never lingered in one location for over six months,” noted Melvin, 39, who began bow hunting in his early twenties. “I spent weeks obtaining permission for land where I believed the bear might be or pass through. Last year, I captured it on camera, but it disappeared until May of this year.” State wildlife officials have confirmed that the bear’s dressed weight of 770 pounds is the largest ever recorded during New Jersey's black bear hunt. Melvin remarked that his dedication paid off when he located the bear a month prior to the hunting season. “I tracked him down in a new swamp about a

Hunting Up Above the Clouds It is the view of many hunters that mountain hunts are the ultimate expression of hunting. Here you will be challenged at all levels. Physically, mentally, technically. with many long distance shots, and in your understanding of game behavior. At the same time it is difficult not to be smitten by the magic of the mountains and their wild beauty. Mountaineers often say that they become physically addicted to the mountains, something most mountain hunters wholeheartedly agree with. It is also up in the mountains that you can find many of the most sought after trophies win the world; Marco Polo-Sheep, Dall Sheep/Stone Sheep, Snow Sheep, Blue Sheep, Mountain Goats perhaps the mighty Markhor or one of the many sub species of Ibex; Asiatic, European and Spanish. One thing that most of these species have in common is that they live in some of the most isolated parts of the planet, such as Kyrgyzstan, Alaska, Canada, Tajikistan or even the Himalaya. Trophy Universal: Urial Ovis aries (lat.) is a species of mammal from the genus 🐏 rams, subfamily Capidae, family Bovidae. ℹ️ An interesting combination of genetic traits could classify urials as both OVIS and Caprinae. However, if we look at the species of trophy animals that make up the rating tables of various hunting clubs, such as KGO, SCI, GSCO, it follows that a urial trophy can only close a position in the OVIS category - rams. ❗️Urials are in the "vulnerable species" category, so many countries have begun to strengthen the populations of these animals, which are becoming rare. Hunting tourism has become one of the supports for countries in which the urial is an official hunting species. A limited number of licenses are issued for shooting, and good deductions from officially conducted hunts are returned to the economy of the regions where they live and sponsor environmental activities. We can safely say that all hunters who go hunting for urial in Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekist

The most ferocious of the big five Hunting for African 🐂 buffalo according to the classics: find tracks and the right buffalo places, honestly walk many kilometers in the tracks of the herd or fight for dagga. Teen hunter shoots record Virginia bull elk Congratulations to Austin Prieskorn! The 15-year-old hunter is now the proud record holder of the only Boone & Crockett (B&C) bull elk for Virginia with a score of 413-7/8” after his dad, Bo, won a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) raffle. As GOHUNT previously reported, Virginia announced its first historic elk season last year following a successful reintroduction effort spearheaded by RMEF. Out of the five tags available, four went to Virginia residents lucky to draw and the fifth was raffled off by RMEF. Almost 32,000 applicants vied for their chance at a once-in-a-lifetime tag, generating $513,000 for the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources general fund, according to B&C. The RMEF tag raised $93,000 and the monies will be used for elk habitat management. Bo was excited to hear that he won. “I haven’t hunted myself in seven years. It’s been all about my boys.” The Prieskorns live in New Mexico and Bo was an outfitter for 30 ye

HUNTER HARVESTS POTENTIAL NEW RECORD ELK Duane Kramer is a lucky guy. Not only did he win the 2020 Keystone Elk Country Alliance Raffle, which meant he got a chance to hunt a Pennsylvania monster bull, but he actually harvested a potential new state record. Kramer, who lives in Bellingham, Washington, hired Elk County Outfitters to help him locate a big bull during this memorable hunt last October. And, boy, did he make a good decision. While he was out in the field, he said he had plenty of opportunities at bulls over the 420” range. “There were enough 400-class bulls running around there that it wasn’t a question of getting a 400-inch bull, but a matter of how far over 400 we could get,” Kramer told Boone & Crockett. While he was only 18 yards away from the bull he would eventually harvest, he wasn’t close enough for an ethical shot because of the harem of cows milling around him. “I thought he was going to come right for us because we were standing right in the game trail,” sai

The nilgai antelope “Blue Bull” • Native to India and Pakistan. The second largest antelope species in the world! • I took the Marlin Model 1895 Guide Gun to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas to hunt the very special and and majestic ecosystem along the coastline known as the El Sauz, managed by the East Foundation. This nearly 30,000 acre free range property managed for their cattle operation is teaming with wildlife, and its range though excellent for the cattle also provides perfect habitat for the Nilgai. • As part of the properties management plan for its cattle, Wildlife Systems manages the nilgai which happen to be direct competition for the cattle, and due to their size they equally require the same range and food source that the cattle require • Using the lever gun in 45-70 topped with a Trijicon Credo 1-6x24 scope and using Hornady Leverevolution Ammo in 325gr FTX was perfect for this hunt. These bulls are big! And it takes a heavy grained bullet to bust the heavy should

The Cape Buffalo is considered by some to be the most dangerous of all of the Big Five. While he seems docile enough when viewed undisturbed in the herd, when agitated or wounded this bovine can be extremely aggressive, vindictive, and cunning. Found all over southern Africa in herds of various sizes, the buffalo can weigh up to 1800 pounds. He is primarily a grazer but an occasional browser who must drink every day. They favor the thick bushveld during the day, leisurely moving and grazing as they go. At night they tend to herd up to protect the young from their archenemy, the lion. Both sexes carry horns, however, the horns of a bull can be quite spectacular in spread, with a deep curl and a solid boss covering the forehead. Cows lack the boss, but can have a very wide spread; in fact, the world record buffalo on file in the Roland Ward record book is a cow with a spread of some 62 inches. With a well-placed shot, a rifle of .375 caliber is adequate for the Cape buffalo. However, a

Lamb Karahi Lamb Karahi is one of our favourite lamb curry dishes, and we're telling you now, it is well worth the time and effort to make. Why is it our favourite? The combinations of ingredients make a flavour that's hard to resist. It has a good amount of heat, while the sweet tomatoes, combined with the thick, rich, gravy-like sauce, is pretty moreish. We also love it because you can use cheaper cuts of lamb, which lends itself perfectly to the longer cooking time, meaning you're left with tender pieces of meat at the end. Where is Lamb Karahi from? Mughlai Karahi Gosht gets its name from the deep, circular pots it's traditionally cooked in (like a wok with two handles). It's particularly popular in North Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani cuisine (although ingredients will always differ). It's essentially a fragrant, slow-cooked lamb stew made with a rich tomato, garlic, green chilli and garam masala curry base. What other meat can be used in a Karahi dish? Chicken kara

Browning Auto-5 (A-5) Shotgun Review: System, Modifications, Calibers, Price, Facts. The Browning Auto-5, often referred to as the A-5, is more than just a shotgun — it’s a piece of firearms history. Designed by the legendary John Moses Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900, the Auto-5 was the first successful semi-automatic shotgun ever produced. With over 2.7 million units manufactured across Belgium, the United States, and Japan, this firearm has earned its place as a favorite among hunters, trap shooters, and collectors alike. 🔧 Design & Operating System A5 The Browning Auto-5 uses a long-recoil operated system, a mechanism where the barrel and bolt recoil together after firing, then separate to eject the spent shell and chamber the next round. This system was revolutionary at the time and remains one of the most reliable semi-auto shotgun actions ever developed. • Action Type: Semi-automatic, long-recoil • Feed System: Tubular magazine (4+1 capacity) • Safety: Crossbolt or tr

Beretta A400 shotgun review The Beretta A400 is an impressive shotgun that has garnered a solid reputation among both hunters and sport shooters.
