Puškohled Bushnell NITRO 1-6x24 i+ Řadu NITRO nabízí Bushnell v kategorii střední třídy.

Vzhledem k vysokému obsahu kvalitativně hodnotných bílkovin a nízkému

Huge Zimbabwe Elephant Killed Legally, Says Wildlife Authority Harare: The hunt that killed one of the biggest elephants seen for years in Zimbabwe was legal, the wildlife authority said today. The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority (ZimParks) said the elephant which was killed last week in the southeastern part of the country had tusks weighing 54 and 55 kilogrammes respectively adding that proceeds from the hunt would go towards wildlife conservation. "On the 7th of October 2015, an adult male elephant was hunted as a trophy by a foreign client through a locally registered safari company in Malipati Safari area," the ZimParks statement said. It said the area was "allocated sustainable quotas and hunting permits for all wildlife species including elephants on annual basis." Malipati is adjacent to Gonarezhou national park and the two game parks hold 11,452 elephants, ZimParks said, dismissing reports that the elephant hunt took place inside the national park. The early season is a great time to hunt whitetails. Food sources are plentiful, deer are unpressured and they’re on consistent patterns. The latter point is the most important because that’s what makes them the most huntable. Whitetails are repeating very similar patterns on a consistent basis. That makes them killable. What makes them unkillable? Hunting them incorrectly and in the wrong places. Here are five spots to avoid. 1. Untimely Food Sources Deer are always focused on the food. They shift as food sources change. But generally, they remain in each pattern for several days or weeks. It’s all about finding the best, freshest food source. Deer are concentrate selectors, meaning they are constantly seeking out the best food source on the landscape. Generally, these patterns vary based on geographic location and change from property to property. In one location, deer might be targeting green soybeans. On a neighboring tract, they could be hitting the first of the white oak acorns.

V boji proti pytlákům bude v africkém Kongu od podzimu pomáhat další speciálně vycvičený pes z Česka. Sloužit bude u celníků na letišti v hlavním městě Brazzaville, čichem bude prohledávat zavazadla a odhalovat pašeráky slonoviny a trofejí zvířat. V roce 2015 Böhme do Konga poslala prvního

Nemají rudé oči a nejde tedy o albinismus.

Muži mají pro myslivecký spolek žen pochopení, myslivkyně často i skvěle střílí Diana, první český myslivecký spolek žen, eviduje mírný nárůst počtu členek. Řekla to 7.

How the Grunt Call Came to Be Realtree pro staffer Brad Harris was grunting up whitetails long before deer calling was cool Brad Harris was high in a tree in Mingo Swamp in southeast Missouri when a 6-point buck walked by at about 80 yards. Harris doesn’t remember the exact year, but it was in the ’70s. He was working in the mines back in those days, and he was among several in a group who loved to bowhunt and spent about every free minute of a break talking about bows, arrows, broadheads, and whitetails. This was back in the day, Harris says, when top-of-the-line hunting equipment was a 45-pound Shakespeare recurve with cedar arrows, and just getting a deer — anything with legal antlers — was a huge accomplishment. One of those buddies at the mine had told Harris that his brother had been hunting and listened as a little buck, standing right under his tree, had made a curious grunting sound. The guy pinched his nose and re-created the grunt himself. Harris had never heard a whitetail

Review of the Franchi Horizont .30-06 with Dual Brake Muzzle Device As an avid hunter with years of experience in various hunting conditions, I recently had the opportunity to test the Franchi Horizont chambered in .30-06, equipped with the Dual Brake Muzzle Device (DTK). My experience using this rifle has provided me with valuable insights, and I’d like to share both the pros and the cons. Pros: Precision and Accuracy: The Franchi Horizont impresses with its accuracy. Even at longer ranges, I found it easy to achieve tight groups. This is crucial during hunting trips where a precise shot can make the difference between success and failure. Build Quality: The construction of the Franchi Horizont .30-06 is commendable. The materials used feel robust and well-crafted. The wood and metal finish give it a classic look, and the ergonomic design fits comfortably in hand, making it great for those long hours in the field. Recoil Management: The addition of the Dual Brake Muzzle Device is

Best Dog Breeds for Shed Hunters A pro trainer weighs in on the traits you should look for in an antler-finding dog At the beginning of every shed hunting season, I always imagine the treasure trove of deer antlers I will find. Then, reality sets in. I end up with a few good antlers, a bunch of dinks, and some weird stuff. This year, I found a ram’s horn. Last year, it was a toilet seat. At the end of it all, I always think about what a good year it would’ve been if I’d just gotten a dang antler dog. That sparked a conversation with Dog Bone’s Jeremy Moore about the best dog breeds for shed hunters. “I don’t know if there is such a thing,” Moore says. “I think it depends completely on matching you with the right dog. It’s a stylistic and preference thing more than anything.” So, if you were hoping for a definitive list of the top 10 shed hunting breeds, this isn’t it. The good news is, you have a real chance of getting the dog you already have – or the one you want – to start finding a

Tying Up Creating a drop-shot rig is easy. A small finesse worm is usually used for finicky bass, but always choose long, slender plastics that are free of legs and pinchers that can twist your line. Drop-shotting favorites are traditionally modest, straight plastic worms and minnows; the softer, the better. Some companies are now using “super plastics,” which are incredibly buoyant and allow the lure to float up, rather than settle, on a drop-shot rig, and can help trigger more bites. Z-Man Fishing Products’ ElaZtech lures are a good example. You need to match those small baits with an equally small hook. In snag-free areas, simply nose-hooking the worm is most effective, so a light 1/0 hook is a good starting point. Most die-hard drop-shotters rely on the Gamakatsu split-shot / drop-shot hook. You can Texas-rig your plastics when fishing around brush or heavy cover but, again, stay with a fairly light hook. The VMC WM worm hook is a good one. In any case, always tie your hook w

3 EASY WAYS TO MAKE ANY WILD HOG DELICIOUS A lot of folks get nervous when you start throwing wild pig into the dinner table conversation. Log onto any hunting forum and the majority of people will say they don’t bother eating hogs for any number of reasons—smell, taste, unfounded rumors, you name it. It’s simply the majority mindset, or at least it was. Where I live in Texas, we’re inundated with these feral critters, but there’s a love/hate relationship at play. I hate that they destroy our hay fields, but I love cooking these beasts and do so on a regular basis. Like me, Jesse Griffiths thinks the pig detractors are ill-informed if not crazy, so much so that he wrote a book dedicated to cooking wild hogs. As the owner of the renowned Dai Due in Austin, as well as the mind behind The New School of Traditional Cookery, he’s been waving the banner for wild hogs since before it was fashionable. And people are beginning to catch on. Regardless, there still are some mental and actual ob

Review of Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 I recently purchased the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 scope for my AR platform and, overall, I have mixed feelings about it. Here’s a detailed breakdown of its pros and cons based on my experience. Pros: Optical Clarity: One of the standout features of the Vortex Viper PST is its exceptional optical clarity. The lenses are multi-coated, which helps to enhance light transmission and reduce glare. Whether I'm shooting at dawn or dusk, the sight picture remains bright and clear, which is crucial for hunting or tactical scenarios. Reticle Options: The scope offers a variety of reticle options, and I chose the VMR-2 (MRAD) reticle version. It’s well-designed for quick acquisition and accuracy, particularly at varying distances. The etched reticle is also illuminated, which provides added visibility in low-light conditions. Durability: The construction of the Viper PST is robust. It’s built to withstand harsh conditions, being both waterproof and shockproof.

The glass provides remarkable clarity with minimal distortion, even at higher magnifications. The light transmission is impressive, making it ideal for low-light conditions, whether at dawn or dusk. Wide Magnification Range: The 5-40x magnification range is versatile enough for various shooting scenarios, from close-range target shooting to long-range hunting.
