An Early Start for a Day Immersed in Nature’s Beauty at the Royal Park 🌅 Yesterday, I set off at 4 AM from the outskirts of Guildford, determined to secure a parking spot early, and it was so worth it! As we arrived, the gates opened, and there were plenty of spaces available. Over the years, my wife Katie Tanner Photography and I have visited many times, especially during rutting season, but this year was much quieter compared to the past. Despite that, the experience was just as magical. Spending the day wandering through this beautiful royal park was mesmerizing. The sound of red deer calls echoing all around made for an unforgettable experience. Witnessing these magnificent creatures up close during their rut was awe-inspiring. 🦌🍂 Being out in nature like this really makes you feel connected to the natural world. I can’t wait to return with my camera as autumn continues to transform the landscape, making it even more stunning. 📸✨ #RuttingSeason #RedDeer #GuildfordNature #R

Today, 14 February, in Orthodox calendar is the day of the Holy Tryphon, especially revered in Russia. The holy martyr is highly revered by Russian hunters, being their patron saint. He was depicted on icons with a falcon on his arm, and originally he was on the coat of arms of Moscow. There is a legend that under Tsar John the Terrible, during the royal hunt, the king's beloved gyrfalcon flew away. The tsar ordered the falconer Trifon Patrikeev to find the bird that had flown away. Falconer Trifon toured the surrounding forests, but without success. On the third day, tired of a long search, he stopped near Moscow, in a place now called Maryina Grove, and in exhaustion lay down to rest, having fervently prayed to his patron saint, the martyr Tryphon, asking him for help. In a dream, he saw a young man on a white horse holding a royal gyrfalcon, and this young man said: "Take the missing bird, go with God to the king and don't worry about anything." Upon waking up, the falconer actual

Harris Hawk: One of the Most Popular Birds Used in Falconry, History, Hunting Behavior, Training. The Harris hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus) has a legacy that stretches back over 2,000 years. Indigenous tribes like the Aztecs revered these raptors for their intelligence and hunting prowess. By the 16th century, Harris hawks were used in falconry during the reign of King Henry VIII. Their cooperative hunting style and adaptability made them ideal for European terrains, and by the late 1800s, they were imported from the southwestern U.S. and Mexico to Europe for pest control and sport hunting. Today, Harris hawks are flown in falconry across North America, the UK, Spain, and Portugal. Their social nature and trainability have made them the go-to bird for both novice and expert falconers. 📊 Popularity and Breeding Statistics Harris hawks dominate the falconry scene: • Over 2,500 Harris hawks are registered in the Baywing Database • Captive breeding programs have produced thousands of bi

Nebraska woman gets marriage proposal after killing big buck on hunting trip A Nebraska woman bagged a marriage proposal earlier this month along with a big buck during a recent deer hunting trip. It was the most successful hunting trip ever for a Nebraska woman who bagged a marriage proposal shortly after killing a big buck. Earlier this month, while on a hunting trip south of Lincoln, Samantha Camenzind’s boyfriend not only gave her the first shot at the deer they had spotted on a trail, but he surprised her by popping the question in the middle of a photo shoot with the prized trophy buck. The couple tells local media outlets that in their three years of dating, one of the things the couple bonded over is their shared love of hunting. They even process and eat the meat of what they hunt and kill. Pack of Canadian Wolves Released in National Park to Control Moose Populations It rippled through the conservation and hunting communities this week when news broke that four Canadian wolves were air-dropped in a national park. According to a recent National Park Service (NPS) news release, the wolves were trapped in Canada and released in the Isle Royale National Park in Michigan. “During a narrow weather window between storms last week, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (OMNRF) successfully transferred four wolves to Isle Royale National Park,” NPS said. “Earlier this winter, severe weather on both sides of the border hampered the ability to capture and transfer wolves. However, NPS staff worked diligently with ONMRF and over the course of four days successfully translocated Canadian wolves. Two mainland wolves, one female and one male from the same pack and both with a black coat color variation, were captured on crown land near Wawa, Ontario, and transferred to I

JAGD ÖSTERREICH JÖ brand is about how centuries-old hunting tradition meets modernity. Hunting in Austria dates back to medieval times, with royal families like the Habsburgs playing a pivotal role in shaping the country’s hunting heritage. The nine Austrian hunting associations are strengthening their transnational cooperation. As a basis for this, they have developed the umbrella brand "Jagd Österreich". Welsh corgi, either of two breeds of working dogs developed to handle cattle. They are similar in appearance but are of different origins. Their resemblance results from crosses between the two breeds. The Cardigan Welsh corgi (see photograph), named for Cardiganshire, can be traced back to dogs brought to Wales by the Celts about 1200 BC. The original type was known as the Bronant and was related to the progenitors of the dachshund. The Pembroke Welsh corgi (see photograph), of Pembrokeshire, is descended from dogs brought to Wales by Flemish weavers about AD 1100. The ancestors of the Pembroke belonged to the group that produced the Keeshond, Pomeranian, and Samoyed. The corgi gained exposure from its association with the royal family of Britain; Queen Elizabeth II has had corgis since her childhood.

The African Lion — the Central Trophy of Your Hunting Collection Hunting for a 🦁 lion is a prestigious hunt. Many people dream of getting the king of beasts and decorating their collection with this trophy. The quality of the trophy depends on the country of extraction and the specific area. 1️⃣ In the wildest Africa, somewhere in 🇿🇲 Zambia, 🇨🇫 Central African Republic, 🇲🇿 Mozambique, 🇪🇹 Ethiopia, lions may not seem “chic”, their manes are not so thick... But the hunt itself will be beyond praise: on bait in the twilight - real, adrenaline-filled, keeping you in suspense until the last moment. 2️⃣ A more predictable hunt, shorter in time, but with a guaranteed excellent result awaits you in 🇳🇦 Namibia, 🇿🇼 Zimbabwe, and a real lion paradise is in 🇿🇦 South Africa! You will not get such beautiful, luxurious trophies anywhere else! ❗️We highly recommend lion hunting in South Africa - excellent accommodation and a royal trophy. 2100 kilometers in three days, a couple late nights and busy talking to people and giving presentations at the Parkland Outdoor Show & Expo could wear a person out but the energy at this show kept us so energized. It was really humbling talking to people there that said they'd driven all the way from Manitoba or distant locations in Saskatchewan just to meet us. The only downside to to the show was that virtually everyone that we chatted with had a picture of a bigger deer on their phone than TJ has ever taken ;) It was pretty cool spending time with several of the top TV show hosts and outdoor personalities in Canada. We work in a pretty amazing industry with a bunch of amazing people. Sharing the stage with them at the Royal Rumble was pretty entertaining. Thanks to LIVE 2 HUNT with Cody and Kelsy for emceeing this question and answer session, even though he was afraid to have a push up competition. ;) And thanks to all the people that we shared a stage with. Hunting regulations Czech Republic For hunting in the Czech Republic you need a Czech hunting license (please bring your own valid hunting license from your country too) and a hunting liability insurance from the Czech Insurance Office. Both are organized by our partner for you. Export of trophies The trophies for game caught in the Czech Republic may be imported into EU without any problems. Traceability can be required by the EU authorities at any time, e.g. the hunter must be able to prove where the game was killed. This is the hunting protocol which is created at the end of the hunt. Small game hunting Our partner has been dedicated to small game hunting for years and organizes hunts for pheasants, royal pheasants, wild turkeys and red chickens. All the hunts take place in the hunting area Kakov. Our hunting area with a size of 600ha is located on the edge of the Planice ridge, about 40 km from the city of Pilsen, near the small town Nepomuk between the villages Polanka and Pohor
