Fieldcraft in MONASTIR: Approach to Game and Tactical Behavior, Hunter Circles and Regional Clubs, Legislation of Tunisia Territorial Character and Ecology in Tunisia Monastir lies on Tunisia’s eastern coastline, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and defined by flat agricultural land, olive groves, and coastal plains. Its terrain, though lacking rugged wilderness, supports a unique ecosystem that blends maritime influence with cultivated inland zones. The region’s gentle topography and moderate climate make it favorable for small game and migratory birds rather than large mammals. The proximity to saltwater lagoons, such as Sebkhet Halk El Menzel, and irrigated farmlands attracts flocks during seasonal migration, shaping the region into a low-key but viable hunting area for selective species. Hunters and Local Engagement in Monastir The hunting population in Monastir is modest and primarily rural, with most active participants coming from surrounding farming communities and retireePost: 4 August 08:45
Hunting Frontiers of KASSERINE: Demographics and Hunting Culture in the Region, Laws and Legislation of Tunisia Ecological Layout and Landscape Character in Kasserine Region Kasserine, located in western Tunisia along the Algerian border, is marked by rugged mountain ranges, expansive high plateaus, and dense pine forests that contrast sharply with the flatlands of central Tunisia. The region is anchored by the Chaambi Mountain—Tunisia’s highest peak—and surrounded by woodland habitats, steep slopes, and semi-arid plains. The temperate continental climate, with cold winters and dry, hot summers, also affects animal behavior, driving game to lower elevations and shaded ravines during key hunting months. Hunting Demographics and Regional Involvement in the Area Kasserine has a longstanding hunting culture, deeply rooted in rural and mountainous communities such as Sbeitla, Fériana, and Thala. Hunting in West Cameroon: Forest Remnants, Cultural Symbolism, and Highland Rituals in One of the Country’s Most Populated Regions Rolling plateaus, shrinking forests, and ancient agricultural landscapes The West Region of Cameroon, known for its high population density, rich soils, and chieftaincy traditions, is often seen as the agricultural and cultural heartland of the country. While intensive farming, settlement growth, and deforestation have dramatically reduced the availability of wild habitats, pockets of sacred forests and dense groves still exist — particularly in areas like Menoua, Bamboutos, and Noun. These forest remnants cling to volcanic slopes, riverbanks, and steep ravines, where hunting continues in modified, often symbolic forms. The cool highland air and the presence of traditional ecological knowledge give this region a hunting character all its own. Bordering Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo, this region forms part of the great Congo Basin — the second largest rainforest on Earth. Towering hardwood trees, dense understory, and constant humidity create an environment that’s both breathtakingly beautiful and difficult to navigate. The Dja Faunal Reserve, Campo Ma’an National Park, and the Nyong River basin are just a few of the natural landmarks that define the South’s untamed character. Myotts COUNTRY LIFE Hand Engraved Dinnerware Set (1982) I recently came across an exquisite dinnerware set from Myotts® that caught my attention - particularly for its nostalgic charm and attention to detail. This set, dating back to 1982, is part of the COUNTRY LIFE collection, and it's evident that a lot of care went into its design and craftsmanship. First and foremost, the hand-engraved English scenes on each piece add a unique character that sets it apart from mass-produced dinnerware. The illustrations depict the culture and traditions of English hunting, hunting in England on horseback, the love of English hounds, the strength of passionate hunters, perfectly capturing the essence of real English country life and the traditions of hunters. Each piece feels like a little work of art, making every meal feel special. The colors are declared as "permanent," and I must say that after using this set for several occasions, they have held up remarkably well. There’s no fading or weaPost: 30 November 10:35

Stylish Home Interiors Featuring Hunting Trophies: Bears, Foxes, Deer, and Iconic African Wildlife Transforming your home into a stylish haven can take on a unique twist when you incorporate hunting trophies. Character pieces like bears, foxes, deer, and famous African animals can add a striking visual element while paying homage to nature and the art of wildlife conservation. First, consider the placement of your trophies. A grand bear mount above a stone fireplace can create a bold centerpiece, making the living room feel both rustic and luxurious. Surround it with a palette of warm browns, deep greens, and soft neutrals to enhance the natural aesthetic. You might also think about introducing a variety of textures through rustic wooden furniture and soft fabrics, like leather or wool, to create a cozy atmosphere. In a more eclectic setting, fox mounts can add a whimsical touch. Their playful nature can shine through when displayed alongside vintage hunting gear or framed wildlife Post: 11 September 21:52
A new species of snake was named in honor of Harrison Ford. Ants and spiders have already been named after the artist. One of Harrison Ford's most famous roles is the archaeologist Indiana Jones in the famous franchise. The character is characterized by intelligence, dexterity and bravery. But at the same time, he is very afraid of snakes. Despite this, Harrison Ford's name was borrowed for a new species of snake found in the Peruvian Andes. Tachymenoides harrisonfordi does not pose a danger to humans. The length of the reptile is 16 feet (0.4 m). There are stripes on her body, and yellow, brown and copper shades are present in her color. Ants (Pheidole harrisonfordi) and spiders (Calponia harrisonfordi) were previously named after Ford. Harrison Ford is not the only celebrity after whom previously unknown organisms and substances have been named. "These scientists continue to give my name to animals that children are so afraid of.
ATA ARMS NEO 12 Semi-Automatic Shotgun (Walnut) with a 710mm Barrel Review I recently had the opportunity to try out the ATA ARMS NEO 12 semi-automatic shotgun with a walnut stock and a 710mm barrel, and I wanted to share my honest and detailed thoughts about it. ATA ARMS NEO Pros: Build Quality: The first thing that struck me about the ATA ARMS NEO 12 is its solid construction. The walnut stock feels robust and offers a nice aesthetic appeal. The finish is smooth, and the natural grain of the wood really adds character. Ergonomics: The shotgun fits comfortably in the hands, and the grip is designed well for a secure hold. The balance of the 710mm barrel feels great, making it easy to maneuver both on the range and during a hunt. Reduced Recoil: One of the standout features for me was the reduced recoil. The semi-automatic action helps manage the recoil effectively, which is especially beneficial during extended shooting sessions. Versatility: This shotgun performs well in varioPost: 5 December 08:57
Brown Bear The brown bear has several unusual habits that are rarely noticed in the literature. The character of the bear is often overlooked, despite the popularity of this game among hunters. First of all, it is an unusual persistence with which the bear achieves not only food, but even a small amount of food or treats. Successful body structure, strength, help the bear in the implementation of his plans. In an area where apples and fruits grow, the animal has the opportunity not only to pick up fallen ones from the ground, but also to climb branches for food. Also, bears are smart animals. When he notices that it is not convenient to pluck fruits from flexible branches, he begins to shake the tree at the base and calmly collects the fallen fruits. Hunters who have been watching the bear at the fruit–bearing trees know the characteristic noise made by the branches - like a gust of wind. The persistence of the bear generates the irascibility of this animal, if he does not achieve whaPost: 4 July 09:05

The sable is a mammal of the genus of martens. It is widespread in the forest zone of Siberia, the edge of its range extends to the north of Eastern Europe. The body length of the sable is 32-58 cm, the tail is 9-17 cm, and the weight is 0.9—1.8 kg. Males are larger than females. Sable fur is one of the most valuable, which is why sable has been exterminated for centuries. On the other hand, the extraction of sable and the trade in sable fur has long served as one of the significant income items in the Russian economy. Sable is of great importance in Russian culture and traditions. In some Russian folk wedding songs, the sable is the personification of the groom, while the paired character, the bride, is the marten. The images of the groom are especially clear, as the sable appears in the North Russian wedding songs. In the Belarusian tradition, a young couple is symbolized by a sable and a squirrel. Sable is of particular importance in the Buryat culture. The sable was a totemic aPost: 6 January 18:02

A Birdwatcher’s Paradise at Lake Narach Lake Narach and its surrounding national park are a true haven for birds. Over 230 species have been recorded here, with around 185 nesting in the area. In spring and summer, the region becomes a natural symphony: larks sing overhead, starlings chatter in the trees, and deep in the reeds, the elusive bittern calls with a sound like someone blowing across a bottle. On the lake itself, you might spot coots, great crested grebes, mallards, mute swans, goldeneyes, gulls, and even the rare smew—only about 15–25 pairs nest in all of Belarus! Above the wetlands, cranes and marsh harriers soar, while the forests echo with the tapping of woodpeckers and the songs of tits, chaffinches, and thrushes. Lake Narach isn’t just a scenic retreat—it’s a vibrant home for countless winged residents. Bring your binoculars and a bit of patience, and you might just catch a glimpse of something extraordinary.Post: 24 June 14:22
