Puškohled Bushnell NITRO 1-6x24 i+ Řadu NITRO nabízí Bushnell v kategorii střední třídy.

Hunting in Namibia's Karas Region: Landscape, game species, timeframes, methods, hunter data, legal framework, contributions, culture, outfitters, zones, unique aspects Landscape and terrain characteristics The Karas region in Namibia presents one of the most extreme hunting environments in the country, characterized by its unique and challenging terrain. The Succulent Karoo biome dominates the landscape, featuring distinctive vegetation adapted to arid conditions. Rugged mountains, such as those in the Richtersveld, create dramatic backdrops for hunting, while semi-desert plains offer minimal cover, testing the skills of even the most experienced hunters. Special permits are required for access to Diamond Area 1, adding an extra layer of regulation to this already demanding environment. Available game species in Karas Hunters in Karas can pursue a variety of prime game species, including the Kalahari springbok, a desert-adapted subspecies found only in this region, and the iconic

Alaska’s Dall Sheep Alaska’s Dall sheep (Ovis dalli dalli) are found in relatively dry alpine country and frequent a special combination of open ridges, meadows and steep slopes with extremely rugged “escape terrain” in the immediate vicinity. Generally known to be high-country animals, they also sometimes occur in rocky gorges below timberline. Rams, distinguished by massive curling horns, usually weigh less than 300 pounds, while ewes, with shorter, more slender, slightly curved horns, typically reach only half that size. As the remoteness of their habitat and its unsuitability for human use does much to protect the species, Dall sheep in Alaska are generally in good population health, even though low birth rates, predation (primarily by wolves, coyotes, and eagles), and a difficult environment tend to keep growth rates lower than for many other big-game species. However, their adaptation to the alpine environment seems to serve them well. They have survived for thousands of years

Controversial spring bear hunt up for debate in Washington The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will hear a report Friday on potential changes to the 2022 spring bear hunt season. However, several conservation groups said special permits to hunt black bears in the spring should not be issued at all. The groups said the hunts cruelly kill bears just as they’ve emerged from hibernation with cubs in tow. “There's a reason why we don't hunt any other species during the spring – other than turkeys – because spring is an important time for all species in which they're recovering from the winter,” said Claire Loebs Davis, board president, Washington Wildlife First, a conservation group. After hibernation, Loebs Davis said, bears are on the verge of starvation, making the bears sluggish, slow and easy to kill. “Starvation is forcing them into clearings and in areas where the only food is available – where they are easy for hunters to find and shoot,” she said. As bears emerge from

Review of the Benelli Argo Special .300 WM (7.62x67) I recently had the opportunity to test the Benelli Argo Special in .300 WM, and I must say, it left quite an impression. As a hunter and shooting enthusiast, I appreciate fine craftsmanship and reliable performance, both of which this rifle delivers. Build Quality and Design: The Argo Special boasts a robust construction with a sleek design. The wood stock is aesthetically pleasing and feels solid in hand, providing a nice balance. The metalwork is well-finished, with a matte coating that adds durability and reduces glare, which is essential during hunting trips. Accuracy and Performance: In terms of accuracy, the Benelli Argo Special does not disappoint. It offers impressive precision right out of the box, and after a few adjustments, it shot tight groups at various distances. The .300 WM caliber provides significant stopping power, making it a great choice for larger game. The recoil, while noticeable, is manageable thanks to th

Nature’s best friend: Scientists train dogs to sniff out dangerous invasive species Dogs can sniff out invasive fish in lakes without even seeing them, new research suggests. In lakes and rivers around the world, carp are wreaking havoc on local species. Native to central Asia, these common fish infest freshwater lakes and rivers, outcompeting other animals. But scientists have discovered a new tool in the fight against the invasive creature - the powerful nose of man’s best friend. According to a study by Australian and New Zealand scientists, specially-trained canines can detect whether invasive carp are present in water. In fact, they’re even better than lab tools. “(Our) findings suggest that dogs could provide an accurate and highly sensitive method of invasive fish detection,” the study authors write.

Deforestation in Borneo threatens three endangered, endemic plant species The rampant deforestation for monoculture plantation and logging in western Indonesian Borneo has exacerbated the extinction risks of three plant species endemic to the island’s riparian lowland rainforests, a new study said. The researchers are calling for stricter protection of the forest fragments as a key conservation strategy for the three plant species and for further research to be done to better understand the species’ population status so as to improve their management. The island of Borneo, which is split between Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei, has for the last few decades lost more than a third of its forests due to fires, logging, mining and industrial plantations, particularly oil palms.
