Законопроект (N 881694-8) разработали для снятия излишних административных барьеров, связанных с экспортом гражданского оружия и патронов к нему. Документ направлен на поддержание стабильной работы отечественных предприятий стрелковой и патронной отраслей в условиях санкций, а также на создание новой линейки моделей оружия и патронов, соответствующих техническим характеристикам стран-импортеров. Сейчас в законе нет термина «гражданское экспортное оружие». Теперь предлагается считать им оружие, производимое только для экспорта в соответствии с техническими характеристиками стран-импортеров.
