What is Ethical Hunting? The key element of ethical hunting is recognizing that conversation around how the hunt is being done and why it matters is important. Three key things along with in-field elements are taught when someone’s learning to hunt. These are: Understanding the situation and knowing if the shot is safe. Legal aspects of the situation and the shot. Understanding if the shot and situation are ethical and responsible. There are some key aspects of ethical hunting that every hunter should be aware of and they should certainly adhere to these. Know and Respect the Law For good reasons, each state has set its own rules and regulations around the game of hunting. The departments of state parks are dedicatedly making the best decisions that are underlying these rules & regulations based on the first-hand information they have got. Game laws are developed based on qualitative and quantitative data and are not arbitrary for protecting the game from over-harvesting. The key comPost: 23 May 14:40

Honest Review of the Weatherby Vanguard .30-06 I recently had the chance to take the Weatherby Vanguard in .30-06 out for a series of hunting trips, and I wanted to share my thoughts on this powerful American rifle. First and foremost, the build quality of the Vanguard is impressive. Crafted with a sturdy synthetic stock, it feels robust and dependable in hand. The rifle’s design minimizes the overall weight while maintaining durability, making it comfortable to carry on long hunting excursions. Additionally, the rifle features a weather-resistant finish, which is a significant advantage when hunting in the variable conditions often encountered during the seasons. The .30-06 caliber delivers a perfect blend of power and versatility. It’s a well-established choice for big game hunters, capable of taking down anything from deer to elk. Canada goose hunting from kayak. GoPro video. An interesting fact is that of all the subspecies of geese, the Canadian goose flies the worst. This is due to its large weight. That is why the author of the video was in no hurry to get the gun out of the case. Canada geese have been introduced in Europe in the early 17th century by explorer Samuel de Champlain who sent several pairs of geese to France as a present for King Louis XIII. The Canada goose was one of the many species described by Carl Linnaeus in his 18th-century work Systema Naturae. The Canadian goose (Branta canadensis) is a waterfowl from the duck family. It is the most widespread waterfowl in North America: its population exceeds 5 million individuals. The body length of the Canadian goose is 55-110 cm, the wingspan is 120-180 cm, and the weight is 2.0—6.5 kg. The Canadian goose is native to North America. Currently, the bird breeds mainly in Alaska and Canada, including on the Arctic coasts and islands of the CanadPost: 13 January 13:55

Pack of Canadian Wolves Released in National Park to Control Moose Populations It rippled through the conservation and hunting communities this week when news broke that four Canadian wolves were air-dropped in a national park. According to a recent National Park Service (NPS) news release, the wolves were trapped in Canada and released in the Isle Royale National Park in Michigan. “During a narrow weather window between storms last week, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (OMNRF) successfully transferred four wolves to Isle Royale National Park,” NPS said. “Earlier this winter, severe weather on both sides of the border hampered the ability to capture and transfer wolves. However, NPS staff worked diligently with ONMRF and over the course of four days successfully translocated Canadian wolves. Two mainland wolves, one female and one male from the same pack and both with a black coat color variation, were captured on crown land near Wawa, Ontario, and transferred to IPost: 11 July 13:01

5 Factors for Rut Hunting Success 1. Weather Having the right weather can influence how much rutting activity you see — or don't see — on any given hunt. A cold front with a little rain to break a stale weather pattern, followed by a clear, crisp morning can seem to bring deer out of the woodwork. On the flip side, warm weather can slow the action to a crawl. Contrary to popular belief, the weather doesn't determine when deer breed. But it does influence how much of that breeding activity you see out in the open during daylight. Does often hug tight to thick cover when in estrus anyway, and they move even less when it's warmer than average. Bucks don't seem to cruise in the open as often, or for as long, during those unseasonably warm days, either. Don’t Miss: Big Bucks in Nasty Places 2. Available Bedding Cover Rut tactics are almost always terrain-based. So if you aren’t hunting around the type of quality bedding cover deer need this time of year, action will likely be minimal. Bobr – SLAVA SKRIPKA The undoubted HIT of 2025. There aren't many hunting songs or video clips in the world. I think this is the hunters' new anthem.))) The song is in Russian with elements of Polish in the chorus. For those who do not understand Russian and Polish, some clarifying information: The guy sings about how he became friends with the beaver and how well they spend time together. The chorus is built in a reference to the meme "Beaver Kurwa", which blew up TikTok in April 2022. It was a video with a guy accidentally meets a beaver.
